$70/day for PARKING..... !!! Next time have to arrange better transportation, because this hotel is just next to busy Grand Central station (there are a lot of food stall at underground level until 10PM). When we came, there were lots of students from Europe country, waiting for checked in , so it was really crowded. Room is OK but you... More

My husband and I travelled to NYC for our first anniversary in April 2015. We had originally booked for 5 nights over the Easter holidays however extended our stay for another 5 nights which was the rest of our stay in NYC. The hotel also gave us the cheaper rate (of a deluxe room) for the extension of our stay... More

Heating does not work properly, and staff was unable to adress the problem. DO NOT STAY THERE AROUND WINTER! The value for your money is rather poor, compared to what you can get in any other city in the us for the same price. but hey, its NY. The quality of the rooms greatly lags other grand hyatt hotels around... More

Central location, well appointed rooms. Very clean and tidy. Staff were very nice and helpful. Downstairs bar is very expensive though. You can do a whole circuit of New York from here in 6 hours. That includes grand central station, empire building, time square, Central Park and lower Manhattan - 9/11 memorial and Statue of Liberty/Brooklyn bridge views.

Do verify they get your points in if you held a gold passport. Even if you check in with it and they give you vouchers you may no get the points and forget about trying to get them back in your next stay in the exact same hotel, they will not give them to you.

Grand Hyatt New York in my opinion is one of the best choice of travelers who want to be in the heart of Manhattan but not in the madness of Times Square .minutes walking from Empire State from Times Square Macy's Broadway and of course grand terminal which is located next to the hotel. The rooms are huge clean and... More

We stayed here for five nights. Check in was very efficient. We paid for a room with a view, and asked for a view of the Chrysler Building. In the end we got a view of Grand Central Station; we could see a reflection of the Chrysler Building, at least. There was dust on the lamp and the vent on... More

Dear 289Tom, Thank you for reviewing your stay. As noted, we do indeed offer free WiFi as of February of this year. We apologize if this was not made clearer to you. Though we could offer some fine points, especially in terms of our concierge service and location next to Grand Central Terminal, we regret that you were not more... More

The hotel is huge, with an amazing entrance to the lobby. Everything is very modern. The location is good, just a few minutes from Times Square. The room was big, cozy and super clean. We did the check-in and check-out by ourselves and it saved us a lot of time. Therefore we cannot speak about customer service because we didn't... More

Stayed two nights for an event and I was surprised how big the rooms are, mine had even a walk in closet and good size bathroom. View from my room was to a wall but ylu know what they say, behind the wall is NYC :) The location is awesome, it is literally next to the Grand Central Terminal so... More

Busy check in. Grand lobby, nice bar with snacks and city street views. Great handy deli where you can grab breakfast or lunch. Beer and wine on the go too. We had a king room. Very nice. One downer was no coffee in the room but it was easy enough to get it downstairs. I don't recommend ordering a pot... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
