I have stayed in Hyatt regency, and visited different Grand Hyatt's and Park Hyatt throughout the world, and I thought staying in Grand Hyatt is not going to end up very badly. Well in a sense the room is pretty clean and the hotel is conveniently located just right next to the Grand Central terminal. However, check in staff was... More

It was probably above average to be honest. The location alone is very good. Right next to Grand Central Station. It's on 42nd street, which is very busy. My room was on this side, and you could hear the noise from the room. However, you do get used to it after a couple of nights, it is NYC after all.... More

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for just over a week over New Years 2014/2015. The room was supposed to accommodate 4 adults, but with our luggage, it was extremely cramped. The bathrooms are very old and tired. The hot water took ages to kick in. The service was very average - staff not very helpful. No free wifi in... More

To mee this hotel is all about location. You just walk out of Grand Central Station and are already in the lobby - really perfect. The room was quite big and I could check in already 2 hours before. Check in and out at a computer is a bit strange but works fine! Seems it will be the future and... More

This is a perfectly nice hotel, clean rooms, comfortable bed's and friendly staff. We stayed for a week and had a pleasant visit the room is a more than adequate size, although the bathroom is a little small and could do with more storage/shelf space, the shower is fine but the bath is not full sized. A dressing table would... More

My two friends and I stayed for 6 nights at the Grand Hyatt. On check in we were offered a free upgrade to a bigger room, and also free wifi access in our room which was very handy! We stayed on the 26th floor, our room was always clean and the bathroom was big enough for all three of us.... More

We stayed here overnight and absolutely loved it. We got upgraded to a VIP suite and it was huge. There were so many amazing features from the decor, to the comfy beds, to the technology in the room it was one of the best stays we have had at a Hyatt. The ammenties were amazing and the staff was incredibly... More

We spent 3 days including new years eve at this property......it has a nice lobby ...the location is great.....the bathroom is extremely small...probably the smallest hotel bathroom that I have ever seen......the rooms were waaaay over priced for just an ordinary standard room, but it was new years eve time period in NYC...and supply and demand obviously dictates the prices... Dear MrMrsBigDaddy, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. Though our location and staff service were to your liking, we are concerned that the room was not. However, it is a relief to know that other, more positive aspects of your stay have encouraged you to return. Another room layout can definitely cater more to your needs.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
