We booked a trip to New York at fairly short notice so found many of the cheaper accmmodation options to be booked up already. Therefore we took a chance and made a booking through Hotwire which is how we ended up staying at the Grand Hyatt. The hotel is in a brilliant location to access all of the main tourist... More

We travelled in February 2015 when it was freezing! Grand Hyatt's central location was definitely a huge convenience during this time, it's also connected to Grand Central, which is very convenient for when you take subway trips (without having to go into the cold). The rooms were decently sized for New York (i.e. small, but livable), and the concierge staff... More

Great place to stay, well located in the heart of Mid-Town Manhattan. Efficient, but I feel lacks the human touch... too many events always on at the lobby make it a crowded place to be, unlike what it could be.

The Grand Hyatt is located at Grand Central Station, convenient for getting around the city. Only a 15 - 20 minute walk to Times Square and Broadway theatres. The hotel itself is unremarkable, but the rooms are big for New York. Service is good, everything in the room was in good working order, wifi was good, and it was clean.... More

This is definitely a high class hotel in a prime location. Staff are very professional and the hotel is very modern. The room had a view of the chrysler building which was something we have never had before. Beds were comfy and hotel is in walking distance or many restaurants and shops. The food in the hotel is very pricey... More

The service and staff were amazing! Adding the meals to your experience is well worth the money! The hotel is centrally located and directly above the subway so it made it easy to get around and see everything.

Everything about this hotel impressed me. The staff were efficient yet never intrusive. The service was friendly and courteous. The location is perfect-within walking distance of lots of New York's 'must sees'. Being beside Central station made any travelling so easy. We were afraid of getting caught in traffic on our return to JFK so decided to take the underground... More

I haven't stay at this hotel yet. I have just booked it a week ago. They had a special rate of 199 per night - part of their NYC sale - non-refundable, payable up-front. I've booked two rooms for a total of 399. They sent me a confirmation email showing 399. Few days later I checked the charge on my... More

Dear Kbengi, Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention. We in no way intend for our nightly special rate to be unclear, and we apologize for the confusion. We are happy to offer specials and promotions on a frequent basis, and we understand the importance of displaying prices and terms and conditions as clearly as possible. We truly... More

I love Hyatt in general, but the Grand Hyatt in NYC is one of my favorites. It is a bustling hotel right in the heart of the city and as we all know, location is everything. The staff is super friendly and are truly knowledgeable about their city. The rooms are small, but very well appointed. Grand Central Station is... More

Best location on Manhattan. Friendly staff. Small rooms with slight filthy furniture. Had a room on the backside of the hotel. Great lounge with excelent snacks and a nice terrace and friendly staff. To crowded in weekend mornings.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
