Just enjoyed another great stay at the Grand Hyatt NYC and it never disappoints. We always stay in the Club king or Club double rooms (this weekend we had 2 Club Kings) as the Club Lounge here is excellent. The quality of the food service in this lounge is definitely way above average for comparable hotel chains, it has a... More

My wife and I stayed at The Grand Hyatt back in October 2014. We originally had reserved a Friday night in September but had to reschedule the day before. A special thanks to Lotus reservation specialist for her help in changing original reservation to a Friday in October and keeping the original rate the same . The hotel room was... More

It's been a while since I reviewed this place so I wanted to update my review. Stayed here recently for a long vacation and birthday weekend with family, and stayed a few more times alone for business. I find the staff here really great from the check-in agents to the housekeeping. I like the executive lounge more than most of... More

The hotel has staff who really does care, I had great service at this hotel beginning with Katoosha (sp?) who checked me in, the maintenance man who came to my room and the bellman - all lovely and working really hard. The rooms are really nice, I enjoyed my room very much, 1917, a king bed with a table and... More

Dear Annette T, Thank you for writing in to let us know your thoughts on your recent stay. As a guest looking to stay at Hyatt hotels on a regular basis, we are disappointed that some room issues led to your dissatisfaction. Unfortunately, New York City has experienced record cold as of late, and our engineering team has been working... More

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt New York in Jan 2015, during the "blizzard." Room was very clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is great. Endless places to eat right outside the door. Only 10 minute walk to Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, etc. Only complaint is the obnoxious charge for wi-fi. Just find an open network... More

Stayed with my son for 2 nights. Big modern inside. Rooms clean and a bit small but fine. I got expedia prices of 150 a night so ut was ok but I would consider it. Too expensive for what us here if you pay regular $390 a night. Right next to grand central easy access to most places. So it's... More

The Grand Hyatt's lobby is truly grand. The hotel is one of the "modern" hotels in NYC. The lobby has the "glass and chrome" look and wonderfully done. The rooms are large by NYC standards. Clean rooms and a location next to the Grand Central makes it one of my top choices in the city.

Given the location, the chain and the name one would expect more. I arrived by walking from dinner and came down the Lexington Ave side of the building, signs pointing to the hotel directed me to enter via Grand Central Station, there was no indication this door was not open in the evening but arrived after following the signs at... I stayed at this hotel for the first time because I was attending a conference in it. The room was shabby and in need of renovation. To top it off, when I returned after a day of meetings, the room was not serviced. The conference service was adequate, but the ball room where we met was freezing! Mind you, I... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
