The location is great and boy, is this hotel busy - almost as busy as Grand Central Station next door! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a decent if not small bathroom. Personally we had no issues with the hot water system like some others have but I admit it was hard to turn the tap on; And I'm a strong... More

Just hosted a meeting at a this Hyatt with about 50 guests. Hotel is very conveniently located to most sights. Times Sq, 5th Ave, museums, etc all in walking distance. Hotel also sits beside Grand Central station. Rooms are well appointed and up to date. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. We were on the 23rd floor and only... More

I'm here often for work. It's a beautiful hotel right in the middle of everything, but not in times square which is just a mad house. It's got a decent gym, concierge club with outside patio. One of my favorite places to stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights during a recent trip to New York. First things first, the location is excellent - you are within walking distance of many of midtown's attractions. The hotel is right above Grand Central station, so getting the subway to further afield sights is very easy and straightforward. All of our interactions with the hotel staff... More

This hotel is amazing!!!! It is clean, the rooms are nice, and it is just gorgeous. The Grand Hyatt is just amazing! It is also very close to times square! I can not wait to stay here again. This is probably the nicest hotel in NYC.

Just stayed at the Hilton Grand in New York. First let me say beautiful Hotel room was not that big size (for $450) a night, but everything you need. Service was great. Hotel staff very friendly. Hotel located on 42nd Street next to Grand Central. Easy walking distance to Broadway. Now the negative for me. NO place to have a... More

Hotel is in a great location. It's perfect for the bus from EWR to NYC which stops a block away. Check in was smooth at 830am , I asked for a room with no feather pillows & clerk offered me a 'hypoallergenic' room. It wasn't ready so I went off to do my thing & returned at 330. They gave... More

Hyatt has a number of locations in NYC now, and I've stayed at almost all of them. This used to be one of the best, but a recent renovation appears to have been poorly done. Our room had a small hole in the wall, the outlet in the bathroom fritzed out regularly, and the lighting was controlled by a single... More

I stayed in this hotel in the first week of December. The room was good although I did have an issue with hot water from the shower and taps. Seemed to have to wait ages for it to run hot. Not something I am used too. The hotel staff when I needed them were warm and friendly. The hotel is... More

This hotel feels like it caters mainly to conventions and business travellers. The reception area is in an expansive lobby, check-in/out is very busy, there are lots of people rushing here and there, and there is a large bank of elevators constantly decanting people on almost every floor. Rooms are modern, large and clean, but without any character or warmth.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
