This is a clean, fairly modern, big city, business hotel very well located at Grand Central Station and near the Chrysler Building. Not the grandest of the Hyatt Grand brand but functional clean and easy to get in and out of. My fairly recently remodeled room was larger than average and the king bed was great. Restaurant and bars were... More

Our first time to New York.We stayed here for six nights. My husband & I were on holiday, celebrating a landmark birthday... Positives: 1.We arrived at 7am and was told check-in wasn’t until 4pm, but we were given a room used for the “disabled” for the day, or wait till mid day for a room to be available as all... More

Great location and nice sized rooms. We stayed in a room facing the interior courtyard and it was perfect. It was so dark and quiet that we were able to sleep in which we needed. We couldn't even tell that it was sunny outside. I do wish they put bottles of water (even if for purchase) and a coffee machine... More

I am currently at this hotel on a two week stay. I chose it because of the great location and because I want the points as a platinum level Hyatt Gold Passport member. The service is woefully short of what should be expected for a Grand Hyatt. At check-in there was no offer of assistance for taking my three bags... More

Dear M M, Thank you for your ongoing loyalty to Hyatt Hotels. As a Platinum Gold Passport member, we are disappointed that your stay did not better meet your expectations. We have made note of your feedback, specifically regarding the staffing numbers and hallway rubbish. The last thing we want is for our guests to encounter delays in service, and... More

Stayed here for five nights for an event. Booked into a newly renovated king room - after checking in and seeing how noisy it is as it is directly across the lift, I was given probably the smallest room (a queen) in the hotel. This is fine as I prefer peace and quiet. A bit dishonest though as I had... More

Fantastic hotel, very central to everything, 5th Ave, Times Sq, easy access downtown to Wall St. Comfortable clean and well serviced hotel. The breakfasts were huge and quality was outstanding. Friendly helpful staff. The room was spacious and well laid out. Great idea to have all lighting and air con controls at your bedside table.

I've stayed at this hotel on many occasions mainly because of its proximity to many attractions. I love that I could walk right outside the hotel and be within steps of the Grand Central Terminal. The hotel is well above average, clean, has a great restaurant/bar with views of busy 42nd and one can easily walk to many popular NY... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
