My wife and I stayed here for our last night as Manhattan residents and we expected a lot more. Even with a Hotwire discount, our small room ran us north of $300. The location is perfect, but that's about it. The lobby decor is modern but has this cheap feel about it as if the designer chose to outfit the... More

I found this hotel to be very disappointing. The rooms were poorly cleaned and maintenance was in our room without our knowledge and left used parts on our vanity. The beds were confortable but the pilows were rock hard. Coffee in the Market was excellent but all the food was extremely pricey - $6.00 for 6 carrot sticks, 6 celery... More

I was looking forward to a stay at this hotel since Hyatt has a great product and consistency usually.....I was extremely disappointed. We checked in to the hotel on line in advance and I was pleased with this experience....great idea Hyatt! It said our room would not be ready till late in the day so I called ahead to make... More

Stayed at the Hyatt for 3 nights in July and loved the location. Next to grand central station and short walk to theater district. Convenient to many restaurants and a Duane Reade next door. Rooms were refurbished and more spacious than I expected for NYC. Elevators were often very crowded with long waits. Also very tiny. There seemed to always... More

Stayed here last year. From what I can remember, rooms were cosy, beds comfy, clean. Friendly staff at the reception. The restaurant on the pricey side and food average. Hotel located centrally, just to the grand central station.

If you need to be at Grand Central, this is as close as you can get. It's a giant hotel with a lot of meeting space, so it's a very busy place. I've stayed here 5-6 times this year. The rooms are no more than average, and in many cases in need of an update in terms of decor, even... More

Friendly and attentive staff really looked after your needs. Welcomed us with water while waiting to check in, provided kids sunglasses when they heard my daughter say she left her's in the car. Just very attentive and focused on their customers.

Hotel has a great position next to Grand Central. Unfortunately it has a cold atmosphere and is more like a basic budget hotel that a 4* plus. There are no services at all to speak of so I think overpriced. If one wishes to drink in the bar with a terrace it is an extra 150 $ per Person ????... More

The location at Grand Central Station is decent but just too busy and the lobby is super busy and crowded with tours. I tried this hotel because i heard the rooms were renovated but they seemed too dark to me. My main problem with this hotel is they have 2 people working reception when 15 people are checking in, the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
