I have stayed here annually for about a decade for a business conference and now that the upgrades are complete it is actually a nice hotel...previously I would not have said that. Location is great for travelers and lots of choices for restaurants.

The location of this hotel is great (literally right next to Grand Central Terminal); the service is very good, check in and check out being very smooth. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well-appointed, and the hallways are pretty quiet. (My view wasn't great, as I looked at another building, but this is New York.) My ONLY complaint is that... What is the deal with the heads from Easter Island? Looked a little creepy at first but then when I saw the one with the red sweat band acknowledging the US Open Tennis event all seemed to loosen up and the long day of travel seemed to wind as well as wine down. See you again next month.

My husband and I got to spend a lot of time at the Grand Hyatt on a recent trip to NYC. The hotel in itself is great, as well as the location. The lobby is stunning and the front desk service was always very helpful. The room was a little smaller than we expected, but we had a great view.... More

We stayed here three nights and location was excellent but it seemed the hotel was a little tired and over-rated. Bed was uncomfortable, room was small and bathroom was even smaller - for a 4/5 star hotel just not what I expected out of a higher end chain hotel. Hotel staff was good to work and they did offer to... More

Best place in NYC to stay. Located above Grand Central Station you can either commute Up or Down town via the subway as an option or brave the cold, of course dependant on time of year you go. We walked a lot as it is the best way to see this great city but the subway adds that element of... More

Great location. Great staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Convenient location next to grand central. Proximity to great restaurants. I highly recommend the hotel and I will consider it for my next stay in NYC.

The Grand Hyatt is in a Great location to take the subway. Lots of restaurants. It appeals to people with its modern look. The room is small, AC did not work and had to call maintenance twice. We left plenty of time for maid service each day and three days in a row they did not clean our room. The... More

Attached to Grand Central terminal is a huge plus for this hotel -- you can get anywhere from here very easily, This Hyatt property trends on the downward side of the regency line in my opinion. The rooms are a bit rough around the edges sometimes, showing wear and tear. I do stay here a lot, and I wish the... More

Awesome.hotel. Great service. It is a good location so that u can be in the city foe Holiday fun. We have come here for several years from Dec 26 thru Jan 2 or 4. The rioms are not very big but they are a good size for NYC. And the location lets u be near Times Square but not in... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
