3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I stayed here for two nights at New Year, chosen for good price and location. Reception is very small but staff pleasant. Room was comfortable, not huge, but that's normal in New York. Breakfast has been well documented on here. A Contnental, which is fair enough, but the staff are horrendously bad in the restaurant. They would have been as... More

There are two things I judge hotel on: bed and shower. For me, that's all I care about: how the bed sleeps and how is the shower. Both are excellent at this hotel. My bed felt like mine at home: soft pillows, nice quilt, soft sheets. The shower was a shower not a bathtub and had a rainforest down spout.... More

Really in the heart of the Big Apple. Near everything, 5.ave, Central Park, Times Square. Restaurant with a small Italy inspiration (but not like Soho). The rooms are outdated, like 80', brown colos, dark, light smell of cigarettes at 5. etage/level (strange), smell of the people next door there parfumes (doors not tight, AC using same air recycled?). Need an... More

We are sorry to hear your stay was not up to your standard. Blakely New York is an Old English Style Manor which may not be for everyone. We appreciate your feedback and wish you well in all of your travel adventures! More

great location, welcoming staff, large rooms, classic atmosphere and complimentary breakfast what more do you need? I've stayed in most of the chains in midtown and much prefer this hotel. Two small gripes - television was useless - very poor reception. Breakfast was adequate but nothing more. Weirdly everything is self serve except for coffee and tea. annoying, inconvenient and odd.

We are happy you have chosen Blakely New York as your new go-to hotel! As the complimentary continental breakfast buffet is available to guests, there are also items available for purchase that will be made in the kitchen and served hot to you. We are looking forward to your next visit! More

Lovely, quaint hotel. Feels like you're staying in an English manor house. Friendly staff, 24-hour concierge and convenient location. Nice extras like kitchenette, Keurig coffee maker and real cream, not the powdered kind, dishes, glassware, etc. Nice linens. I've seen others make negative comments about the breakfast included with the room, and I disagree. It is a continental breakfast... Fresh... More

Great location and excellent pricing. Bathroom was perfect, spacious, with a rain style shower head. Room was perfect except the televisions were significantly out of date and most channels has poor reception (likely from quality of tv). I typically stay at the Michelangelo, but will add this hotel to my list.

I used to love the Blakely. My family has stayed here at least four times over the last several years. The location is great if you are visiting midtown and the one bedroom suites are perfect for a family (we are a family of four). But I am sorry to say I don't think we will be returning. The Blakely... More

We appreciate the feedback and it is unfortunate that your last visit in November was not up to par. We were hoping that we would have been advised during your stay and could have fixed the issues at that time. As Blakely New York was designed as English Club, Manor; our hotel style is not for all travelers; thank you... More

I have been staying here a lot of the past couple of years because of business. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Every room is different and great in there own way. The only issue I have is that there is only 2 elevators and they only hold about 3 people. During "rush hour' you can definitely wait a... More

This European style boutique hotel is a gem! The room was much larger than expected with a soothing color palate. High end bath products and robes in the room compliment the European feel of the property. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating, and you are always greeted with a smile each time the doorman/bell captain jumps ups from his... More

We stayed at The Blakely New York for three nights from the 27th - 30th December, 2015. We found a warm welcome awaiting us. Our immaculate room was spacious and quiet, and to our surprise, champagne and chocolates were waiting, compliments of the hotel, to celebrate our ruby wedding. We really appreciated this gesture! Continental breakfast was included In the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
