4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed here only 2 nights, but the staff was incredibly helpful and professional. They gave us all the necessary tips not to fall to the New York City traps and tricks. Perfect place for the midtown. And we fell in love with the old Englsh style of our room. Only breakfast is "not enough" in the kindest way to... More

This hotel is very central for Time Square and Central Park. We booked a king bedroom and was given a room with two queen beds and a separate lounge area which had a large sofa bed suitable for our sixteen year old son. The room worked very well for the three of us. It had a nice bathroom with toiletries... More

We had a good sized room for New York style. We had a problem with the toilet running constantly as soon as we walked into the room, but the in-house plumber got it sorted very quickly and he was very prompt on arrival after receipt of the call. The service was good and the buffet breakfast inclusive of the room... More

We loved our stay at The Blakely. The rooms are small, but well put-together so they feel roomier than they actually are. Everything was spotless, NO sign of bedbugs or other hotel nightmares. The connected restaurant where we enjoyed continental breakfast was charming. We would definitely stay here again.

I found the staff to be very professional and helpful. The rooms were spic and span and more than adequate for my needs. A large bath and shower. The location is just below Central Park and just above Time Square which is extremely convenient. I will definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately, I was only able to spend one night in the Blakely and it was an all-around pleasant and relaxing stay. I arrived early and asked if I could check-in early. Not only did the staff give me that courtesy, they upgraded my reservation to a suite! The suite was lovely and looked over 55th St. with a view of... More

The hotel design is an American's idea of an English country house, so it's a bit dark and oldie worldie, but we liked it. The bathrooms are small but very efficient and the beds comfortable. We found the staff be helpful and friendly. The breakfast is not very exciting but it's adequate. It's well located just a few blocks South... More

I stayed here in Nov 2013 for 12 nights and loved it and this time with another 12 nights in New York I did seriously think for a while about booking elsewhere as there are so many choices but decided to stay here again and I made the correct choice, just brilliant again. My room was exactly like the web site... Found the Blakely thru an expedia deal and took a chance since it's not far from our NY office. What a nice hotel. Ok, I was upgraded to a jr. Suite without asking, but the entire property is clean, quiet, classy and comfortable in an old fashioned way. Particularly lovely, refurbished bathroom and good Italian food and bar off lobby.... Second time in hotel. Cannot fault service or cleanliness. Rooms big, bedding and yield changed daily. Happy hour in the bar, really close to 5th Avenue, Central oark and time square. Brilliant and breakfast included!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
