This small gem of a hotel is fantastically located in 55th street in the heart of Mid-town Manhattan, a couple of blocks from Central Park. Many attractions are within easy walking distance and there's a subway station a few doors away for those that are not. The rooms are a nice size, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The staff are friendly... More

I lived and worked most of my life in Manhattan so am pretty familiar with the hotels around the city. When I book a trip to NYC I don't even think about staying in any hotel other than the Blakely. My travel agent knows my room type and floor preference and just books without consultation with me. There is nothing... More

Last january I went to New York and my stay couldn't be better. This was the second time I went to The Blakely NY and didn't have surprieses. The bedroom was super confy, the breakfest was lovely. Rained a couple of days and the hotel provided umbrellas to the guest! Certenly the next time I go to NYC I'll in... More

This hotel is a great value for the room depending on when you go. We were able to stay here during a non-peak time so the price was great. We loved the location and we also liked the suite we were able to get. It was nice to be able to put the kids to bed and then relax in... More

Excellent service, comfortable room for our family of four in two double beds, clean and well equipped with in-room coffee maker (great coffee), fridge, much needed very good AC (93 degrees), free wifi throughout. Location perfect for midtown exploring and subways (W55th between 6th and 7th), few blocks from Columbus Circle and Central Park, 5th Ave shopping, easy walk to... More

We were disappointed when we arrived, to find that we were in a 2nd floor room when in fact we had asked for a higher floor. They immediately moved us to a higher floor, the 6th floor which could have been higher but at least the noise level was better (not as much traffic noise, or horrendous crashes from the... More

Good location. Decor is nice traditional but dark. They had scaffolding across the front and so our room had a half window view. TV had snowy picture. Right now the restaurant is closed for renovation and they give you a card for Au Bon Pain across the street. It is so busy, we didn't use our free breakfast cards. Stay... More

Had 5 nights at the Blakely at the end of June. The room was fine albeit a bit tight for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Great facilities though, and the couple of early glitches ( nowhere near enough towels for 4!), sorted very quickly. And let's face it, when in NY, you aren't in your room for long as so... More

Happy to find this small hotel at reasonable price during busy summer season. Great midtown location for business. Yes, the hotel is older, traditionally decorated, and a bit dated, but I found it roomy, comfortable, clean, and quiet, with friendly, helpful staff. Anyone who complains must not have stayed at many New York hotels in the price range. I much... More

Just stayed three nights at The Blakely New York and can definitely recommend it. The staff at the hotel (the restaurant is another matter - but I'll get to that in a minute) are fabulous, and Andre, the Concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and gave good advice. The lobby of the hotel is luxurious and very... More
