I just keep going back to stay at the Blakely whenever I am in NYC. It feels like home. The staff are helpful and courteous. Recently they upgraded us to a suite without even asking. The complimentary breakfast in the adjoining restaurant is always good. It is a pleasure to find this gem in mid-town, within close walking distance of... More

As almost every reviewer mentioned, The Blakely has a great location, few minutes walk from the Central Park and Fifth Avenue and walking distance from the Times Square. Hotel itself, although not spacious, has classy design, in the lobby complemented with jazzy background sound. Two elevators serves 16 floors. We didn’t need to wait long for them (very important in... More

Not a modern hotel and not a large hotel but nice hotel in a good location between Times Square and Central Park. Room was a decent size with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Tea, coffee, milk complimentary. Fridge stocked but chargeable and a basket of snacks that were chargeable. Air-con and heating. Good shower and complimentary toiletries. Large flat... More

We booked the Blakely on the recommendation of our travel agent, and were so glad we did. Although our room wasn't ready when we arrived, reception staff arranged for our luggage to be stored and pointed us in the direction of a local bar for lunch. When we returned, we had been allocated a top floor room as requested. It... More

The Blakely was more than we expected, the attention to detail was fantastic. It was very convenient having a kitchenette in the room with a microwave... Fully stocked minibar, espresso coffee machine etc. This hotel is the perfect location, central to everything in Manhattan. Excellent location!

I am staying in the Blakely at the moment. I've lived in NY and stayed in numerous 5 and 6 star hotels here and this is a GREAT place. If you want fancy schmancy, be prepared to pay for it and not necessarily get value for money. If you want quality, attention to detail, INCREDIBLE comfort and a great location... More

The best thing about The Blakely is its location - walking distance from everything that is Manhattan. The staff are friendly, polite and well-trained, whilst the rooms provide all the comfort a traveler might need. If you're looking for modern glitz and glamour though - this is not the place for you. With its plush velvet and dark wood decor... More

Stayed at the Blakely March 2015 The staff were all very helpful, the "free" breakfast was adequate and the rooms lovely and clean. The location was perfect, 5 minutes to Central Park, Times Square and the Empire State building.

First of all the girl that checked me in was not friendly AT ALL....so there definitely wasn't a warm welcome. I did like the hotel. It is very quiet, clean and the rooms were a great size for a NYC hotel. It was nice that they put water in the room for your convenience. There are no views so don't... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
