This is a gem of a hotel located in Mid Town and excellent for all attractions. The room was small, as most are in NY, but had everything we needed for a winter city break. The staff were very helpful, the continental breakfast was good, and we had clean sheets every night! I can recommend this hotel for short stays... More

Don't book this hotel. If you've booked then you should cancel. Can't cancel?? Then make sure you have good earplugs! On a recent Friday night we got NO SLEEP at all. The back of this hotel faces the delivery/service entrance to a skyscraper chain hotel, All night we had to relentlessly endure noisy trucks, banging doors, staff shouting, shutters raised... More

I always stay at the Blakely when I'm in NYC for business. The location is perfect, breakfast is included, the suites are massive, and the beds are SO COMFORTABLE! Make sure and request a room higher up so the street noise isn't a problem. The staff is always incredibly helpful. The hotel has so much "old world" character that I... More

The Blakely Hotel has a great location and wonderful staff. The rooms and public spaces are spotless, well kept and full of character. The decor and staff make you feel as if you are paying much more to stay here. It's truly a good balance of price, location and comfort for Manhattan. If you're looking for old-world charm instead of... More

Our favorite hotel in New York is The Blakely. It is ideally located for theater, restaurants, MOMA, Central Park...everything we like to do in New York. In addition to a great location, the hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. We are always a little sad to leave The Blakely and we eagerly recommend it... We love to run in Central Park and planned to look at the holiday windows on Fifth Ave., so chose this well-located, beautifully renovated small hotel in mid-town. Our queen bedroom was small but handsomely decorated with plenty of room for two, and included a well-equipped kitchenette with Keruig coffee machine and microwave. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully designed... More

The two best things about The Blakely are location and staff. OK, three - the bed was also stellar. These things make a stay in a hotel a truly wonderful experience. It was very clean, the elevators were quick, and the room was cozy. I could adjust the heating in my room any way I needed. Since the weather was... More

We have stayed at The Blakely New York numerous times and it gets better each time. It is a small boutique hotel that is always very clean and well maintained. Located on West 55th street between 6th & 7th Aves. it is centrally located to the Jewelry and Broadway show districts and close to the 5th Ave shopping. The rooms... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
