We had 5 nights at the Blakely at the end of a 3 week stay in the US. It is in a brilliant location just minutes walk from Central Park, Times Square, Rockerfella centre to name a few. They provide complimentary breakfast which most hotels in NY don't, so this is a real plus point. The hotel staff are helpful... More

This was our first stay in New York and I wanted somewhere great for my wife and I who were from there other side of the world. The deal we got online looked great - knowing that NY isn't overly cheap we ere prepared for that. I liked the look of The Blakely due to its location and boutique nature.... More

On the advise of my travel agent we booked 6 nights in the Blakely New York. What a hidden gem. You cannot beat the mid-town location close to Radio City Music Hall, Time Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center and much more. The Blakely is an elegant, small boutique hotel with amazingly large rooms and extremely good rates and the staff... More

We booked into this hotel for a long weekend and were surprised by the reception by upgrading our room to a suite. We were made welcome by friendly and attentive staff and liked our suite very much ,with a very comfortable king size bed easy chairs and a tiny kitchenette which we found very useful. The breakfast is continental and... More

Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Linen and towels refreshed daily. Kitchenette is an added bonus -microwave, fridge and coffee maker. A gym for the energetic ones. Best of all is the location. Breakfast was not great - it is not part of the hotel, but from a restaurant next to the hotel.

The room and bathroom are outdated with an old A/C system that is very noisy even when the fan is off. Th window gluing lets in every city sound.the tiles in the bathroom has seen better grouting and the all restroom has a very beige/70s feel. the mattresses are so soft you sink in, no support for the back at... We visit NYC annually and prefer to stay in this area. The Blakely is always our first choice! The suite is very nice - plenty of room, and the couch is comfortable as a bed, too! We often fight over who sleeps on it! The beds are super comfortable, too, and the staff is consistently good. Downside? The elevators are... More

We stayed a The Blakely in New York City 10 years ago when it was The Gorham. Always enjoyed staying there as it is a small boutique hotel. It was closed for a while for renovation and got out of the habit of staying there but decided this year to try it again. It was like going back in time.... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of August. Our reservation was wrong and that was cleared up relatively quickly. What was quite annoying is that our bill did not reflect the change. That took a while to clear up at check out. Also at check out I mentioned twice that the bed was not particularly comfortable. Nothing was... More

The customer services at the hotel is wonderful. Great location, close to subway and walking distance to most of the time square area. Very large room with a really nice bathroom. Didn't spend too much time in the room, but it met all of my needs, and was very comfortable.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
