Let me begin by saying that this is my very first time in the New York and we thought it would be great to stay at Hotel Edison for its location. Oh how I was wrong...we first checked-in on 14th May 2015, by Marisela who was lovely and very helpful. However, our room was appalling, probably the worst room I've... More

This hotel is located on one of the roads that runs between Times Square (7th) and 8th avenue. It is therefore centrally like cared but doesn't cost as much as those directly on Times Square itself. I haven't stayed since its renovation but I'm sure it's still a great hotel

My wife and I stayed here a weekend in 2014 with a group from our local theater. Great location for theaters, Times Square, and restaurants. Good experience at the hotel. We are just days away from another stay at The Edison for a 2015 weekend of shows and tours, and looking forward to it.

Hotel is was centrally located for all the activities, restaurants and shows we wanted to see and do. I have stayed here once before and will continue to stay here on future visits to NYC. All of the personnel were very efficient especially the concierge and door men.

Booked this place on their 24 hour sale. Bit nervous as it was so close to Times Square and was afraid of the neighborhood. Bonus it was a prefect little hotel with its Art Deco and upgraded rooms. Housekeeping was quick. Construction worries were none existent as the room was quite peaceful. The only downsides were the wifi did not... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
