My daughter and I stayed at the Edison on a weekend outing to NYC. The hotel is dated but clean and a typical older hotel. No view and small quarters. We enjoyed its proximity to many of our favorite theatres and restaurants. The money we paid was well worth the location.

The location is on a safe street right in the theatre district and a block from Times Square. Very close to a lot of restaurants, include those in Hell's Kitchen. We got a Basic room with a king bed. The bed, linens, etc. were fine. The room was dated. The heat did not work (had to call maintenance) and there... More

This was my first time staying at the Edison. I was not sure what to expect but I thought it would be an old hotel with old furnishings and linens. I was pleasantly surprised! I stayed on a recently remodeled floor and the room was fantastic. It was a twin room as I was traveling with a friend from college.... More

I have just returned from the Edison a few days ago. Although they were packed with hotel guests, I was made to feel like I was their only guest. The entire staff was concerned that I was comfortable and enjoying my stay. The Housekeeping staff even asked me a couple of times if I would like to have my sheets... More

We arrived on Friday night, checked into our room to discover it was not what we had booked. We had made a reservation for a king bedroom with separate sitting room with a pull out couch as we were a party of 4 women. Instead, we were given a very small room with a king bed and pull out. Absolutely... More

First of all --- great location --- close to everything. Great value for the room size and hotel location. We stayed here in April 2014 and had a classic suite. This time we "upgraded" to a signature suite...liked the classic better. In the signature suite, the bathroom door was a sliding frosted glass door that didn't really provide a lot... More

Half a block from Times Square. Great location to all attractions or services. Very clean room. Bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze but was clean. We thought wifi was part of reservation but was told it was extra. When they realised the confusion they gave us free wifi. Lovely helpful staff. Would stay here again for sure.

My friends & I stayed there for 3 nights end of March following 4 nights in Las Vegas for our 50th birthdays. Initially we were slightly disappointed on arrival as it looked old fashioned but it was quirky & Art Deco. All staff were very welcoming & helpful. This hotel is all about the location. 1/2 block from Time Square and Broadway Ticket office and the Subway. We stayed there in March and were very please with the rate and location. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
