Our first visit to NYC and we found the central location of Hotel Edison amazing! Close to times square attractions and several subway stops, it was a perfect spot. We stayed in a renovated queen bed room and found it quite small but being NYC we didn't expect anything big, plus we didn't spend much time in the room anyways.... More

We've recently spent 6 nights at the Edison and felt this was a perfect location for our first visit to New York. We were a little early for check-in but were dealt with promptly & politely and filled out the necessary booking in forms whilst we waited for a room to become available - albeit the hotel does not offer... Everytime I come into N.Y. Hotel Edison is where I stay. Peiced right, location is great, love the art deco decor. In all the years I have been staying at Hotel Edison it just gets better and better. The hotel has been updating the rooms and they are beautiful, warm, and friendly. The entire Staff from the check in, security,... More

This hotel is in a great location, near a lot of activites. The room I was in was on the same side as the entrance, which is off of the main road. It can be a bit nosiey. If you are not used to noise I would bring ear plugs. This was the second time I stayed within this hotel... More

Lots of mixed reviews for this place but in my opinion it does what it says on the tin. The rooms are pretty small and outdated, there are lots of banging noises at night from the old pipes and it's pretty chaotic for lifts etc, but that can all be dealt with. If like us the hotel is purely a... More

I visited June 2014 with my boyfriend. We found the location fantastic the rooms are ok however they are very outdated. The bed is comfortable and there I'd good amounts of storage. Massive down side is no safe in the room and having to get a wifi code every day. The check-in staff are slow and seem somewhat unorganised and... More

Dear Catw31590 Thank you for sharing your review with us. We are disappointed to learn that you did not have a safe in your room, as every room has a one. We would have liked to have known so we may have provided one for you or moved you to another room. Despite the few challenges you experienced it seems... More

Walked into room @ 10pm, smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming! Walked back down to reception tried to switch rooms, they said nothing was available. Gave us two coupons for a free breakfast. Sent maintenance up to remove smell, sprayed Lysol! Did not work! Too late to find another hotel!

We stayed here in Feb 2015 for 5 nights. From the guy at the door, right through to the concierge, the staff at this hotel are fab. Each and everyone of them had a friendly smile and were more than helpful if you needed anything. Anthony, one of the concierges, was particularly helpful and answered quite a number of queries... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
