i spent four nights in the Edison Hotel. The hotel was built in the 30's and has an Art Deco theme. The staff was friendly &. Helpful. The room was clean. The bathroom a bit small but again clean. You absolutely can't beat the location. We walked everywhere. Times Square is literally a few feet away. I will stay at... More

Freindly staff. Just for sleeping. No roomservice, no food, no tea coffee set or fridge in the room no breakfast. All this is no problem since all services concerning food are 24 /7 in the neighbourhood . We did miss the fridge however. Fresh linnen every day! We did stay a week.

Art deco lobby is a step back in time! Our room was simple and small but we weren't there during the day. Traveled with friends who had been there several times before so they recommended it. No on-site restaurant, but The Rum House bar had good entertainment and good drinks...try the Pimms Cup! Free pizza coupons when we checked in... More

Hotel was simple, and clean Location is a definite plus since it's really close to Broadway and Times Square. Because of that, we were able to conveniently purchase Broadway tickets that were on sale. We only walk a short distance to get to the tourist bus. Since its proximity to the Rockefeller Center, we just took the subway from (and... More

Great location, but don't expect luxury. Not quite a dump, but at least our room had not been renovated in quite awhile. Stained tub, hairdryer did not work, no place to unpack. New TV was okay. At over $300 a night it was just adequate. Room size was good, bathroom small.

We stayed at the Hotel Edison Times Square for 3 nights in a Signature Executive Suite. Checking in went smooth and staff was very friendly. Prior to arrival we had ordered some mini cupcakes and balloons for the kids. Unfortunately the box with cupcakes had somehow been handled wrongly and they are all smashed. However, when pointing this out to... More

Location is great. We actually chose this hotel for the location and the history and architectural style. This historic hotel, however, has not been well maintained. Room was not cleaned very well and had peeling paint and heavily used furnishings. Not really a problem since we were rarely in the room. Front desk staff was both awful and very good... More

It has a very good location only half block from Broadway and 7th Ave. The room is comfortable for two persons is enough. The wi-fi ( paid) it is no so good in some parts of the room there was signal in others not. It should be free. The closet seems thta it was not use for some time, so... More

Centered hotel (100 meters from Times square), clean and quiet. Considering the time we've spent there (sleeping), this hotel has a very good price-quality ratio. We'll go there again. However, I wouldn't recommend it for romantic couples, this hotel is functional!

My husband 1st stayed here 30 years ago so we decided to stay again. The position is really great especially for 1st time visitors as you are on time square. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
