Feels like at home as every room, I'd better say apartment, has a full kitchen (stove, microwave, coffee maker, fridge, plates, silverware, pots, glasses). Good location, friendly staff, clean (approved by my wife). Mattress could be a bit more firm, but it's fine. For TV viewers: HBO included. more

My husband, 16 year old son & I stayed here for nearly two weeks over Xmas & New Year. We chose this place after reading some of the reviews & liked the sound of this hotel being an ex apartment building. The last time we stayed in New York, we stayed in a room no bigger than a shoebox, so... more

We discovered the Eastgate Tower Hotel in February 2009 and booked to stay there again last week. We were once again thrilled with our stay and can't imagine staying anywhere else in new York. Travelling with two teenagers, we booked a two bedroom suite and got what can only be described as an apartment - two huge bedrooms, one with... more

I stayed at this Hotel as a part of the Group of 60+people. The reception is very compact, so not many people could stand or sit at the same time. So, very often you may see most of the people standing, and the impression created is not very good. But considering the fact that it is a relatively cheaper option,... more

As my second visit to New York and my Husbands 6th, we both felt that the Easgate represented reasonable value for money in a very handy location. It is only a few blocks from Grand Central Station. He had stayed there before with his band and they had very large 2 bedroom suites they felt were great, we had a... more

Looking back at other reviews of this hotel I am surprised that it has been receiving such high ratings. I guess it is all relative. We stayed 4 nights at the Eastgate Towers in a one bedroom apartment. Three disappointments greeted us on our arrival: the floor in our room was clearly not vacuumed, the lights in the lounge +... more

We stayed on New Year's Eve for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. We were welcomed warmly by the receptionist and shown quickly to our suite, which was surprisingly big by New York standards. Within five minutes of arriving we received a phone call to ask if we had everything we needed and that we were happy with... more

The excellence of this hotel starts with the General Manager Mr. Drepaul. We were thrilled with a very spacious suite and spent fourteen nights there. The living area was large and included a desk, TV and sofa bed (where I had a cousin stop over one night). Also an open plan kitchenette and an adjacent dining table. The bedroom had... more

I was looking for a cheap but nice hotel in NYC. The Eastgate was better then expected! The room was huge! Got a junior suite for four adults. One bed and one bed/couch, kitchen, single bathroom. The staff was cheerful, helpful and welcoming. I'll be back! For the price this hotel is only blocks from Grand Central and times square! more
