We had a wonderful stay at the small boutique hotel the Tuscany. The rooms are enormous for Manhattan, clean, comfortable, updated and quiet. I would absolutely stay here and recommend this hotel. Just know this is not an enormous hotel with bars, restaurants and a concierge. It is however, quietly charming and very nice!

We stayed at the Tuscany St Giles for 10 Nights in Jan/Feb. It was our first time in NYC so the hotel's location was perfect; two blocks from Grand Central and walking distance to Time Square and the Empire State Building. We were given a room on the 8th floor with a view of the Chrysler building - being in... More

Just spent two nights at The Tuscany and I must say it is a great hotel overall. The hotel was very clean and very quiet. Decor is modern and everything seems well kept. Staff was a mixed bag but mostly friendly. The room is extremely spacious, especially for NYC standards. We booked a king room which was larger than most... More

My husband and I had to go to NYC three times this month. The last visit we stayed at The Tuscany. The moment I walked in I could tell this was going to be my favorite of the three hotels I booked. The staff was friendly and helpful, doing all they could to make our stay comfortable. The room (we... More

Great hotel. Good location within walking distance to most midtown attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a corner suite which was very spacious. The only bad point I can mention is the food. They have a limited menu and mostly fried items and poor quality.

Stayed for 3 nights this past weekend and we had 2 rooms - another room for one night and after checking reviews we certainly made the right choice. Tuscany is in a perfect quiet spot with easy walking access to everywhere. Both rooms were cozy, spacious and with a great view ... Empire State was lit up for Valentines Day... More

We stayed here when my husband took me to New York for a Valentine's Day weekend getaway. The hotel is conveniently situated close to Grand Central, Bryant Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Madison Ave, etc and not too far from Times Square. Our room was contemporary and spacious. The bathroom was small but modern. We were able to walk to various... More

We stayed one night - Valentine's Day - at The Tuscany and found it charming. Our room was very generously sized, and the bathroom was small but not cramped, remodeled and excellent. We had room service for breakfast, and the food was just made and very good, at a reasonable price all things considered. Staff were all very pleasant and... More

The Tuscany is in a great spot, just a couple of blocks from Grand Central. I've now stayed a few times and it's definitely my hotel of choice when i need to be central. This isn't a grand hotel - i think boutique is a really appropriate description for once - but what it does it does very well. Firstly,... More

We're just completing a three night stay at The Tuscany, and I can't recall when we've enjoyed a New York hotel as much. My husband and I travel to New York City frequently, and have stayed in many, many hotels throughout the city and The Tuscany sets a high bar. We strolled the three blocks from Grand Central terminal to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
