Great room, not large, but certainly not the smallest I've experienced in NYC. Clean and modern with nice decor. The location is good. I found the staff a little stand-offish and there is no restaurant on site but the hotel itself met my expectations.

My husband and I stay here whenever we are in the city. Location is fantastic and within walking distance of Grand Central. Rooms are functional and clean enough though could use better lighting. Staff are very friendly and helpful and we enjoy their hosted wine hour in the evenings down in the lobby. Skip the continental breakfast unless you are... More

We stayed at this hotel in November 2015 for 6 nights. This hotel is in a great location, about a two minute walk from Grand Central Station and about 10 minutes from Times Square. If you want to be so close to the tourist areas but not staying in them, this hotel is in the perfect location. The staff were... More

Stayed at this hotel last weekend. Room was a decent size, bathroom was small but totally functional. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that. All told, it was OK. Front Desk staff and doormen incredibly friendly. We got a great deal on our room in one of the Kimpton specials, and would certainly consider it again for... More

This hotel is fine, I stayed here on business for a week in April 2015 and nothing bad happened. The batteries on the thermostat were dead so one morning the AC was stuck on and I woke up freezing. I think they replaced the batteries, but the thermostat still never worked properly. The room itself is fine, probably roomy by... More

I recently booked a stay at the 70 Park Ave Hotel which is a Kimpton property. My wife and I travel a lot and typically don't spend too much time in the hotels room. When researching properties, I was pushed to Kimpton by a friend who swears by them. Kimpton had four available so I booked the one that was... More

It's a nice set-up. Great location. Friendly staff (Sarah, Christopher and Ernie were very helpful). Nice coffee shop (mornings only) and bar are connected to the lobby. Room was a good size (by NYC standards), great bathtub. 5:00 daily wine reception is a good touch. Will stay here again.

Checked in on Friday -- As we walked in we saw Evelyn and Melissa at the desk. When they looked up and saw us they immediately recognized us and gave us the best welcome back. We caught up for a few minutes, compared commutes and how things were going and then found ourselves in an amazing room! These two ladies... More

The entire stay was absolutely fantastic- all staff were so accommodating and they went above and beyond. Our fights were cancelled due to winter Blizzard ":Jonas" so we had to stay additional two days. 70 Park-Kimpton Hotel made the unexpected transition seamless while personalizing the needs for each guest. #only70parkavehotel!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
