We spent Christmas at the Kimpton,it's a great location and our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The staff were all really helpful and friendly, the only down side was we weren't told when we booked that the bar would be closed on 24th and 25th December which was a real shame and we should have been informed before we arrived.

We stayed here for a weekend in October. Can't think of a better location (2 blocks from Grand Central Station). As for the rooms, the size was typical with cool decor...the cheetah print robes were a nice touch too:) We were told that our bed was one of the first of the new mattresses they were switching to throughout the... My room (1005) was small, but the design was brilliant and size didn't matter. It was attractive and comfortable with windows facing east and south. Very nice.. Seventy park doesn't have a retaurant but thr silver leaf tavern adjoining the hotel sells cold cereal boxes, yogurt andfresh fruit . Coffee is complimentary as is wine at 5pm. Staff at 70... More

Stayed here for 3 nights for business during the bustling holiday season. Let me start by saying that this is a decent property. Great location on Park Ave close to subways and dining/entertainment. And the staff were very nice and friendly, well except for whom I assume was the concierge, who wouldn't make eye contact with anyone and wasn't particularly... More

Friendly staff, nice room, great location. However my room had no heat and was freezing. It was not fixed and made for a horrible stay.I complained to the front desk and got no response. Not sure I would go back here.

This is a very busy hotel in a great location. While the lobby and rooms are small, it is very well run and is clean as a whistle. It was a great place for a couple of days at Christmas time. It is in a place where getting a cab is not an issue and walking distance to Grand Central... More

Two major problems with the place. First, I was stupid enough to leave my daughter's beloved stuffed toy in the room after checkout. Despite calling 5 hours after our departure to inform them and calling every few hours over the next several days, I received no assistance and no return calls or emails. I doubt they even tried to locate... More

I spent two nights at 70 Park Avenue and was so impressed by the helpful and friendly staff and really loved the location in Murray Hill. December in New York is always hectic, but life seemed a bit quieter tucked away at 70 Park Avenue. This was my first time in a Kimpton property and I quickly signed up for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
