We booked our room at the last minute and didn't know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable, the air conditioner was QUIET, the bathroom was clean, with excellent water pressure in the shower. There was plenty of closet space and the kitchenette tucked behind folding doors was very handy. Would have preferred a microwave... More

I needed a hotel for a group of students that wasn't too expensive. The Bedford was perfect for our group. The room were much larger than expected although the bathrooms are tiny. I had to close the door to sit on the toilet (I was not sharing a room, so I didn't care if the door was open or closed).... More

The Bedford is a very comfortable, moderately priced hotel just a short distance from Grand Central Station. The rooms are quite spacious and quiet, especially for New York, and ours had a small but highly functional kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, stove top, sink, coffee maker, dishes and cleaning supplies), which was wonderful as we were traveling with a baby. The staff... More

This hotel has a magnificent location close to Grand Central station. The rooms are large and spaceous as well. Its starting to get a bit old but the bathrooms seems updated and were great. The prices compared to other Manhattan hotels were very good. We were a familiy of 5 which stayed for several nights with lots of space. Service... More

The Bedford is a hotel with nice sized rooms one would expect in other parts of the US, but rarely find in NYC. It's not fancy, but comfortable and well maintained. The decor is traditional without trying too hard and the bathrooms are updated and fresh. Located just around the corner from Grand Central Station, it is well situated for... More

Although hotel is old, the location is great, and room is big and clean. That's all we need. There is a small kitchen in the room, very convenient for family. I was a bit nervous as others because the four stars hotels even disappointed me in NY. It turn out a surprise in the end. :)

Trip of a lifetime to New York with friends, didn't know what to expect with the hotel, but it was lovely, and right in the center of New York City!!! Comfy beds, good shower & bath. Just what you need :) service wasn't all that great, I would rate service an average. But overall, I definitely would stay here again.

Booked and paid for a room two months in advance for 2 double beds. Arrived to check in only to find (after an hour wait) that our room had been oversold to an "existing guest" wishing to extend thier stay. We was told we would be given a like for like room in a partner hotel just round the corner.... More

I was a bit nervous because the hotel was rated less than an 8 and although there were some good reviews, there were also really bad ones. My experience is one of the good ones. The room is clean and nicely decorated, quiet ( not one of the front facing bedrooms can be why..not sure), bed's comfortable, the bathroom's clean... More

Fab place to lay your weary head after a day sightseeing! Clean & cheerful with friendly helpful staff! Great on a budget with lots of food options very close by. My pre requisite is always clean bed & hot shower & we had both ++ Jo, Nick & Charlie (Singapore)
