A fantastic hotel if you want friendly helpful staff, an excellent location) within easy reach of all the main attractions, and a safe area to stay in. We had lots of friendly advise from the Reception girls in particular and we were made to feel very welcome. The Italian restaurant next door is excellent. The hotel is suitable for all... more

The service we experienced was very good during the stay here. The hotel is very close to Grand Central Station so ideally placed for visiting other areas of New York. We got to stay in a suite near the top of the hotel so we had our room and a large dining/sitting area with a good view over Manhattan. The... more

Dear Joanne, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments on TripAdvisor. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay at the Hotel Bedford. I do apologize that you were unable to utilize the restaurant. We actually have a fine Italian/American restaurant named Domenico's located just off our lobby, serving delicious lunches and dinners. Perhaps it...

We stayed for 10 days from April 16th to the 26th 2009 and we got treated like royalty as soon as we walked in, they loved our scottish accent! haha! We got checked in straight away and they helped us in with the luggage to the 11th floor! When we walked in to the room, I was surprised as it... more

Convenient location & the staff was nice & helpful. However, the rooms & furniture need updating. Too noisy. We would not stay there again. The kitchenette was not inviting, The bed was like sleeping on cardboard. The carpet was very old . The television reception was good, but channel selection was limitted at best.. more

We were a family group,ie parents and three children aged 16 and twins aged eleven. When we booked in January for six nights we requested two suites beside or adjacent to each other ie on the same floor. However when we checked in at 3.45pm we were informed that the only rooms available were one on the 7th floor and... more

the best thing is the hotel is its location. The hotel is old, the staff is horrible they are rude, regular, with all the passengers share this view. They never responded to anything. There are many choices to go. more

I went to New York together with my 17 year old daugther for a girls' winter break. I chose the Hotel on the basis of price, location and the TA reviews of which some were disappointed, some quite happy. First the good news: The location is first rate. Five minutes from Grand Central and in walking distance from Central Park,... more

The Hotel Bedford was the base for my colleagues and I during a recent business trip to New York City. The location is great, just a couple of blocks from Grand Central Station and Blooms Diner across the street is a great place to go for breakfast. The room was a mini suite, with separate bed and living room with... more

We are a family of five (3 girls) and stayed at The Bedford for 3 days after Xmas. Having read all the reviews I would have to go along with many to say the location is very good for the price. It does not have the comforts of a usual business hotel but is comfortable and clean for a short... more

Only two blocks from Grand Central Station, very reasonably priced. A baby crib was promptly delivered to our room on request. The bathtub was awesome, and the hotel's soaps & shampoos are very nice. We will certainly be staying at the Bedford again! more
