Located in Chelsea area close to the Empire State Building and Union Square! Lots of restaurants in the area including the famous Eataly!! Room had a king size bed, very comfortable, but left little space to move around, which was fine for us. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to meet our needs!!! The hotel... We have stayed at many Comfort Inns, in New York and elsewhere. But the Comfort Inn in Chelsea is particularly well situated, close to transportation on the east and west sides of Manhattan, quiet and very well run. Our rooms were, as always excellent, clean, with all the amenities we have come to expect from Comfort Inn: soft and firm... More

The location is fantastic, very central and convenient for a tourist. In the local area we found easy access to the subway, walking distance to many things to do, walking to great food and restaurants. (We ate or snacked many times at Eataly which is just around the corner). The hotel is clean and functional, although a bit dated. The... More

This hotel is a great value and is in a great location! The prices were so reasonable even on Thanksgiving weekend. We had the room with two beds and a sofa. It was not bad space considering some of the shoe boxes I have stayed in while in NY. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. They had lots of... More

We stayed in a triple room (3 single beds) which was compact but as expected. Shower room was a bit small but manageable. We would have had to pay nearly double for a room that could take 3 single people in other Manhattan hotels. It worked out at about £50 GBP each per night with breakfast included - good value... At the time of booking this was the most affordable NYC hotel I could find that was in Manhattan and in a nice, central location. Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
