Good sized room for NYC-beautiful view of the Empire State Building from room 604. It was very nice to have a fridge and coffee maker in our room-breakfast gave a good start to the day and served until 10:00am if you needed to sleep in. Bus to uptown Manhattan a block away and subway station around the corner near Madison... more

We stayed one weekend at the Comfort Inn Chelsea with three adults andtwo children in thier Family Suite. It was two connected rooms. One room was two double beds, closet bureau and TV. The other had one double bed, the shared bathroom and bed furniture. For the price (online AAA rate of 333 inclusive of all charges) it was great.... more

If you are staying in NYC but are only using your hotel as a base to explore the city, then this place is perfect! It is cheap, clean and in a very good location. Otherwise, if you are here with a significant other or for a special occasion, i'd definitely stay elsewhere. more

Location: The hotels location wasn't terrible but if you want to be up near Times Square, this is not the location for you. It's within walking distance to the Empire State building, Madison Square Gardens and Manhattan Mall. It is right beside the Flatiron Building. You can walk to Times Square but it's not very close. We chose it as... more

We had a great visit - centrally located, subway around the corner. Breakfast and coffee included in cost. Very reasonably priced. Room was comfortable and very clean. We would stay here again. Our kids rented bikes at a nearby bike shop (yes in February we were lucky to be there on a warm weekend) and rode to Central Park and... more

We chose Comfort Inn Chelsea, based on location mainly as the rate seems to be an average rate but here you get free wifi and breakfast in the price. We were on the 4th floor and were lucky to get a front facing room which had a fabulous view of the Empire State. Clean room with a king size bed,... more

I had a quick in-and-out into New York for a conference this December. I needed an economical place to stay and came across this place online. For $169 a night, it was a decent place to stay. The rooms are small and the building is old - thus, the heating and bathrooms were an issue. I got into my room... more

On November 14 we landed at JFK, we took a taxi to 115 w 40 street (Manhattan - NYC) and we discovered that the apartment we had rented through graigslist.org did not exist!! Our taxi driver was very kind and patient and brought us to Comfort Inn Chelsea. Michael, the kind guy at the reception desk, was very helpful and,... more

I have stayed in several Manhattan hotels over the past year. The Comfort Inn in Chelsea was very nice, especially for its price range, and goes on the list of places I'd be happy to return to if my favorites are not available for a reasonable price. Pleasant, efficient staff; not over-the-top, but the hotel posts its "Satisfaction Guarantee" at... more

The Comfort Inn Chelsea is one of the handful of hotels in NYC where you can get a nice, clean, centrally-located room with a decent bed and not spend a giant wad of money. I stayed there in August 2008 during the height of the tourist season for $225 + tax and I've regularly booked sub $200 rooms on off-peak... more
