When I made arrangements directly with the Hotel I told them that I was in town for the 5 Boro Tour and that my brother and I would have 2 bikes with us. They assured us, that the bikes were no problem, come on down. Well we got to the Hotel and they were not aware of the bikes; however... More

Stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. When we first arrived they had us booked into a smoking room (wasn't their fault, it was our travel agent that failed to stipulate a non-smoking room). The Front Desk person (Leanne) was very helpful in trying to find us a comparable non-smoking room on the 11th floor. The rooms are... More

I am delighted that you had such a great stay with us. Like so many of our guests you found our King size beds very comfortable. I will pass on your praise to Leanne. It is incredibly motivating and rewarding to be acknowledged. Our location in the New York’s most central district is ideal for exploring uptown, downtown, and Times... More

We stayed at the Comfort Inn for 4 nights in April 2015. For New York City, it was inexpensive, especially since breakfast was included (eggs, yogurt, pastries, waffles, fruit, juice). Our room was very tiny with only one chair for 2 people but we weren't there to stay in the room. The halls were narrow and the elevator quite slow... More

I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you appreciated our central location with easy access to subway and tourist sites. I am pleased that you liked our breakfast. Our complimentary breakfast is a big plus – as breakfast can cost $15-20 in Manhattan. It matters to us that our guests enjoy every aspect... More

Chelsea Comfort Inn is a boutique type hotel. We had very good service at the hotel, as well as a nice breakfast each morning. The location in Chelsea is great! Our king size bed was very, very comfortable. The room is small and very clean. We only had one problem and that was with the concierge service. The Hotel is... More

Thank you so much for such amazing feedback. I really enjoyed reading your review and sharing your heart-felt comments with my team - what an accolade. We are better than many of the new boutique hotels. Real Estate is very expensive in Manhattan and some of these newer hotels have very small rooms. This is the place to be. Chelsea... More

Room was very quiet, clean and well appointed. The staff was more than helpful and the concierge went beyond his duties to be helpful when I needed it. The location was convenient for me and the area felt very safe as I walked many blocks alone. If I return to NYC this is where I will stay.

This is a pretty decent place to stay with rooms that are clean and a friendly staff. Decent breakfast in the morning. The only problem was working with the concierge - we really feel like we were taken so be careful. This was mentioned to the hotel management and they told us they were not part of the hotel but... Thank you for your review. It is always pleasing to be described as having friendly and helpful staff. We are a perfect location with the subway just a minutes walk from us. Numerous world famous restaurants and clubs are also close by. I apologize for the concierge. I have passed no your observations to the senior management of the concierge... More

The room was comfortable enough, but it was a smoking room and whatever I tried to do to change it was not in the cards for me. So I bought a bottle of Febreze and sprayed down the room, after that all was well. They do serve breakfast in the morning in a really small room considering how many people... More

Thank you very much for your feedback, I am delighted to hear that our hotel was comfortable and clean. We would definitely have switched you to a non-smoking room if one was available, My advice is to phone well in advance so that we can change your reservation. Maybe this was just a one time fluke and the stars were not aligned right. I like just having a basic room sometimes when in NYC because I know I am not going to stay in the room for hours except when sleeping. But when it is over $225 a night then ...well I was ok at first even with... More

We loved our stay at the Comfort Inn Chelsea - it was just perfect for what we needed. Finding a room with three twin beds was just amazing for me and my daughters as usually most have two double beds and someone has to share and someone gets a bed to themselves. We also loved the location so convenient to... More

Just in NYC for one night and this hotel suited us perfectly. Two double beds and enough space in the room for 2 adults and 2 kids (6 and 8). The room itself was typical for NYC (on the smaller side, no view) and furnishings a bit dated but clean, comfortable and fine for a night. Breakfast was a pleasant... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
