I wish I could write a positive review of this hotel, It has a great design, is in one of the best neighborhoods to visit a nd walk in in Manhattan, and is very hip. However,, there were two minor but significant problems: one of two elevators did not work the whole weekend, and the water in the shower took... More

We spent a long weekend here at the beginning of March and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has been recently refurbished very tastefully. I loved the bar and reception area, it had a lovely 'gentleman's club' feel to the place with leather sofas, bookcases, and a nice fireplace. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and... The location is great and some of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Namely a couple of the guys on the door. APart from that it was pretty downhill from there. The room was nice enough but fairly worn and what looked to be a pretty poorly done refurb with no real thought or care put into it. The... More

Just back from a famous 6 nights in this boutique hotel. The first time for my girlfriend in New York, and I think I nailed it with this hotel. It’s all about location and here you are right in the hub with restaurants, Shops, even a local deli for those snacks or coffee you may want. The hotel make over... More

Very disappointing starting with the front desk staff. Not helpful at all. Extra fee for King bed, wifi in the room, and an $8 water bottle. We were woken up in the middle of the night by loud music next door. After calling the front desk, I expected an apology the next day from someone. Never happened. Tried to get... More

I've stayed in most of the key local rivals of this place, including The James and Trump Soho. All of these are good quality hotels with the type of service that you might expect from a five star hotel. SixtySoho belongs to that same category, but it is noticably understated compared to Trump or James. The entrance to Sixty looks... More

We booked a stay at the 60 SOHO direct with the Front Desk and our stay was from February 27th thru March 3rd. We occupied a suite on the 11th floor. This was our third trip to New York but no doubt our best. Yes we had fun and got out and toured the city but it was the Hotel... More

I was here for three nights for work and was generally impressed with the hotel. I (and my colleagues) had three main gripes: 1. The time it took for our luggage to reach our room. Our luggage was taken off us by the porter as soon as we got out of the taxi and I just assumed it would be... More

Stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate a big birthday. Prior to arriving the concierge were hugely helpful in recommending restaurants and making bookings. The hotel is in the best location right in the heart of villagey yet bustling soho. The lobby and bar are lovely - beautifully designed and nice places to hang out. Chilled by day,... More

Dear PAthePA, Thank you for choosing to spend your birthday at SIXTY SoHo! We are glad to have set the scene for a fun night. The Gordon Bar is indeed the perfect place for such a gathering. I am sorry that the room did not feel more comfortable in terms of space. Although our main renovation work occurred over the... More

Stayed in a sixth floor Queen Superior in the first week of March for two nights. The room has a sleek and modernist design with a hardwood floor, desk and easy chair. It is light and airy thanks to the almost floor to ceiling window and two large mirrors. I was impressed with the marble bathroom and its selection of... More

Dear Philip S, Thank you for this great review! It is wonderful to read your detailed appraisal of the room and lobby, and to know that everything made a positive impression. Unfortunately, since our rooftop is open-air, we can open it only when the weather is most agreeable. We wish you could have experienced it and welcome you to return... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
