I used to love to stay at The Iroquois Hotel. The accommodations were always immaculate and reasonable by New York City standards. During one Columbus Day Weekend in the 1980's, after a four-hour bus trip, I arrived at the Iroquois Hotel with a confirmed credit card reservation, only to be informed that there was no room available as the party... Great stay. Super friendly! Great service! Most comfortable bed. Great location close to Times Square but on quiet side street. Gregory's is a great coffee shop across the street. I highly recommend it

A lovely place, friendly staff and a great bar with some great cocktails. On our arrival the air duct in our room was making a racket (thump thump thump at high speed). The front desk tried to resolve the problem without success. The staff moved us to a new room straight away. On our return the next day there was... More

The Iroquois of NY is our favorite place to stay in midtown. The staff are incredibly helpful, we love the small hotel feel with the library off the entrance, and the accommodations. It is an easy connect with Broadway and really the rest of Manhattan.

This is our go-to hotel whenever we go to NY. We like The Iroquois because it is small and centrally located. We also like the fact that there is a very good parking garage directly across from the hotel. We usually get a suite on an upper floor but this time (last weekend 1/24/15) our college age son was not... More

The suites at the Iroquois have that special charm that allows you to feel as if you're borrowing the pied e terre of some wealthy relative rather than staying in a hotel. Charming, quintessentially New York vibe and a staff that is genuinely warm and welcoming. Vanessa, the concierge, is among the best I've ever encountered. Far from just making... More

The hotel was very nice, great location and convenience our room was small but fine for two people in a boutique hotel which was the type of experience we preferred. Friendly helpful staff, we would stay there again .Concierge was very helpful too, she explained and arranged our tours.

Stayed for five nights - location and service was fantastic. Beds are very good. Rooms (double double) are quite small but average for NY. We would stay again. If you like really good coffee then go to Gregory's across the road - excellent espresso.

I stayed at the Iriquos hotel last week for 7 nights and I have to admit out of all the hotels I have stayed in New York, this was one of the best. Boutique hotel with a gym and sauna, I never used it but it is there if you need one. Beds were very comfortable, and you have a... More

We stayed at the Iroquois before Christmas for a 4 day break. The hotel is perfectly situated a short walk from Time Square and 5th avenue, and only 15 minutes walk from Rockerfella Centre, Central Park, and the taxis are fairly cheap and reliable for other distances around New York. The staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable, and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
