This hotel met our needs for our trip. The rooms are small and the street noise made it difficult to sleep at night. It was close to the subway and made it convenient to get around to all of the sites.

Stayed here many times now and it is the best UWS place to stay for the price. Cafe bar in lobby serves very good coffee. Two newspapers always available in the lobby too. Walk north on broadway to Gary's Wholefoods for morning green smoothie. Most rooms are quiet for good sleeping.

Having never been to New York, I knew nothing about what part of town was best, or what to expect. I live in Downtown Dallas, so am no stranger to the city. Hotel BelleClaire and the Upper West Side felt like home (with a LOT more shopping). The hotel had so much character and was truly beautiful. The staff was... More

Nice place but a few issues. Wifi does not work well. Maid service was weak - forgot to remove dishes and replace towels, left cleaning supplies in room. Window did not close properly. Street noise was a little loud.

My family traveled with moderately disabled seniors and the staff was very helpful and understanding. The only downside is that the elevators were small and barely fit a small wheelchair. The rooms were very clean and the location is excellent

This is my forth stay in the apple and this by far is my favourite hotel. Clean, spacious room (by NY standards), great location, lots of trendy eating and shopping, and museums. Safe area. The staff are pleasant and helpful! Loved it

Small quaint room but for the money a terrific value. Very clean and well kobby very nice and enjoyed the pre war aspect of the whole property. Hotel good, I would stay again. The only thing I would say is that it is so noisy, not the hotels fault I would imagine it is the same everywhere. It really is the City that doesn't sleep, the garbage trucks and street sweepers are out all the time, the sirens from ambulance and police are relentless - we had... More

Old-fashioned hotel on upper west side, Bway and 77th St. Walk to Natural History Museum and Zabar's, Lincoln Center. Soft bed. Modern renovated bathroom. Free wifi. Valet parking for $48. Small room. OK for short stay. Noisy ventilator outside room. Fortunately, my wife had brought earplugs.
