An old pre war building has been transformed into a reasonable hotel.. Very friendly staff, A very comfy bed with Frette linens, super cool! A small but adequate bathroom with shower.. Sadly the windows do not open so it gets a bit hot.. In the lobby is a pop up of Mille Feuille that provides a continental breakfast Fresh squeezed... More

Rooms where very very small for the price. The continental breakfast was a joke the orange juice was definitely not freshly squeezed like advertised. There was a very noticeable white debris floating in the water so much that I don't want to shower and I used bottled water to brush my teeth.

This hotel is located perfectly close to Central Park, subway stops, shops and cafes or simply to walk to Time Square on Broadway. The lobby looks great, friendly helpful staff, tea and coffee in the afternoon....free, but unfortunately, not in the morning. There's a fitness room, games room and internet to use which was great for printing things off. Our... More

Pros: Great value, good location, nice rooms, very clean Cons: They overbook and you may not get the room you reserved. The room has no dresser so you need to live out of your suitcase and the radiator makes a lot of noise so it's hard to sleep.

beautiful little hotel, with a very European feel. Comfy clean rooms and wonderful staff. will return! The bellhop found a street space for us and saved us tons of valet parking. we walked everywhere else. wonderful market/deli next door.

Our room wasn't as large as some but that was fine as we werent in it much. Bathroom is large and nicely appointed. I had read otter reviews about street side being noisy and it was but quieted down around 11:00 so wasn't a big issue. All staff extremely courteous.

The hotel is conveniently located in upper west side (UWS) and is nice with updated rooms and a friendly staff. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is that other very nice hotels in the UWS (Beacon, Excelsior, and Lucerne) sometimes have competitive or better rates and I'll stay with them since they're... More

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I am not sure where the positive reviews come from because I am not very difficult to please, but this hotel was awful. Our first room had just been cleaned with some type of toxic chemical that smelled so bad they had the windows already open when we entered... More

Good afternoon, We do use a product on our floors to properly clean them but this odor dissipates quickly and i am sorry this was not the case. Regarding the noise we do have rooms that are rear facing and I would be happy to show you on a return visit. I am a bit perplexed by your comment regarding... More

It was nice enough, the room was quite small with little space to actually put your clothes away, however my research suggested that all NY hotel rooms are pretty small unless you can afford much more than what we paid. It was decorated nicely too, and although some reviews here say the traffic/street noise was bad, we had no problem... More
