I was greeted by Matthew and Brandon. I had made a mistake and making my reservation, and showed up a day early. These guys could easily have shown me the door and told me to come back tomorrow. But they went out of their way to accommodate me. They went above and beyond the call of duty to help me... More

Selected the hotel for its location close to meetings in the city. Enjoyed the hotel for its location close to, well pretty much whatever I wanted to do, and loved the hotel for the great design and comfort of the room. Upgraded to a King Suite so had the luxury of being in a well designed, big space in the... More

Thank you for your feedback. We love to hear that you are fond of our design and furniture, I think we going for “Mad Men” feel. The biggest feature of the guest rooms is not surprising the bed wall, which is entirely paneled in teak. This was inspired by the all-in-one headboards by 20th Century Italian designer/architect Gio Ponti. Please... More

I read some bad reviews here from Hotel Tonight users but still decided to reserve. I got the simplest room with no view but it was great and nothing like in the reviews! Everything clean and new, great service and we had just enough space for a couple. Exactly what I would expect for the price. + amazing location.

Great location but the room that I had was unfortunately very dark because of it's location within the building. Generally smaller dwellings than hotels in lower Manhattan of similar star rating. Absolutely fine if not spending awake time in room, but not so much if you want to have a chill out day as quite closed and dingy.

Place is a bit quirky (very hip) but in a great, great location. Staff friendly and helpful for NY. I don't usually stay in a boutique hotel but this was a good experience. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant/bar but it looked good.

Too much noise from the corridor ! The walls seem to be made of cardboard, which caused a lot of noise inside the room - doors slamming (walls would shake), people talking, housekeeping making noise, etc... The Deluxe Queen Room was ok, but rather small for the price paid. The Standard Room is said to be even smaller... No free... More

I have been coming here for years and it now feels a bit like a home from home. The rooms are relatively inexpensive (for Manhattan) and are also a decent size (again, for Manhattan). Helpful tip: Try and get a room on the front, the rooms on the back don't get much natural daylight. It's right on Central Park -... More

Our stay was uneventful and comfortable. It was convenient to the subway, nice restaurants, and Lincoln Center. We have been in this area for several years and had no idea there was a hotel there. It was convenient to have a Starbucks next door. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. We were given an upgrade with asking which made... More

This is an odd hotel- especially given its great location. Reception, bar area, staff are all fine (no major impression either way - just what one would expect). Overall impression is very poor - décor is very dull, rooms are very small and unwelcoming. Looks and feels more like a youth hostel - with a few nice touches. A/C very... More

Had the king suite which is super roomy, had both a tub and walk in shower. Some great restaurants close by on 9th, a shopping mall across the street, and a 15 minute walk to times square and the theatre district. Staff was also really friendly and helpful in helping us get around. While the description says free WiFi, it's... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
