Let's me start out by saying the staff (not the management) are the nicest people. Management needs to work on customer care and to just be nicer. It seemed that management hates to deal with customers and is just grumpy. The rooms are nice size and I thought everything was pretty clean till I saw a HUGE COCKROACH and a... More

Hotel Deauville was well located within walking distance of the subway and attractions such as The Empire State Building as well as food places such as Bread and Butter. The rooms are very small and somewhat dated but were warm and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a manually operated elevator which is a nice novelty. Hotel... More

We have literally just got home from a fantastic 3 night stay at the Hotel Deauville and really can't recommend this charming establishment highly enough. From the fantastic, helpful staff, the spacious, warm rooms to the original manually operated elevator, Hotel Deauville is a special little gem! Located in midtown Manhattan, just 3 blocks from the breathtaking Empire State Building,... More

This little hotel not only met but exceeded all my expectations! I was referred by a friend as I had been searching online for a reasonable hotel in NYC for a 3 night stay for two people. I really did not want to pay more than $200 per night and I wanted a relatively centrally located place. I was caught... More

My family and I spent five nights at Hotel Deauville at Christmas time. The location is just perfect and despite the age of the hotel,Mir was clean and comfortable. The staff were just amazing in providing directions, great places to eat and general information regarding shopping and sight seeing. There were five of us and we would certainly stay there... More

This is a fairly inexpensive hotel on the east side of Manhattan, just south of the Murray Hill neighborhood. Do not expect huge rooms and lots of amenities, but I think you can count on pleasant service from the staff, and rides in what might be one of the few remaining human-operated elevators in the city, a pleasant, if slightly... This is a nice cheap hotel that is in a quiet location, but very near everything, rooms are ok, we had two double beds in ours, and plenty of room for the pair of us. View from window wasn't anything, just out onto another wall, staff are pleasant, and beds made each day and towels changed. Would certainly use again.

My son and I recently spent a night in this charming, old-fashioned hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly; the suite was spacious and very comfortable; and we especially loved the ornate elevator, complete with uniformed elevator operator. The location is very convenient, and we look forward to staying there again in the not-too-distant future. Definitely recommended. Be sure to... More

Avoid this hotel. They assigned me a tiny room that was dirty, smelled of smoke, with an old, burnt bed cover, a dirty carpet and a tiny bed even though I asked for a room for two people. The staff were completely unresponsive and oblivious to our complaints.
