Great spot for the price. Yes, the rooms are tiny. But we would rather spend our money on food and entertainment than on a room we are only going to be in while sleeping! Pros: 1. Location: It would be impossible to be closer to Times Square for this price. Even some of the more expensive hotels aren't as conveniently... More

This is an OK hotel in a great location for theatre, Times Square, and midtown. Hotel was clean. Room was small but most are in NYC (online pictures make room look bigger than reality). Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. A fair value based on room price. WiFi was out of order 2 of the 3 days of my stay.

Found this cozy and old NY hotel through AAA and it was perfect for the budget conscious gal who wants to spend her money on shopping, noshing, shows and cocktails. The triple A rate helped too. It is at the corner of W 47tg and 8th. The staff was very friendly and the hotel although old was clean. Not for... More

Great stay for the price. The room was small but to be expected for a third of the price of any other Hotels in the area. This location puts you in walking distance to Times Square. The staff is some of the most friendly and helpful I ever dealt with

Wanted to be close to the theatre district and Times Square but didn't want to spend a crazy amount on room. That said traveling solo this room wasn't bad. It was small but I wouldn't have a problem staying there again. There are 2 things that I have negative to say, one funny and the other was annoying. The air... More

The room and bathroom were very small(which we expected) but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast was an added plus. The location was absolutely fantastic.

The property was unlike any I have stayed at and that is the difference in rooms where I am from and NYC. The rooms while small are perfect for sleeping, getting ready and going. We stayed here because we knew all we needed was a place to sleep and shower. This place was perfect. The location was the best part,... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on our first trip to New York. The location is brilliant, right in the heart of the city. Yes the room was small but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Econolodge is what it says it is - low cost and somewhere to stay- right in the heart of Manhattan. It's friendly, not always the case in NY, and quite cosy. Yes the rooms are small, but the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is adequate and you can have free coffee and tea 24/7 and complementary crisps and water... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
