This is my last day at the hotel and in New York. It is horrible and dont recommend at all. One day the room didnt get cleaned, the hotel is dirty and a dump. Wallpaper coming off the wall, black mold spots in bathroom, electrical heather that barely works in the cold weather it is at the moment. Lastly and... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel back in June 2011, and we weren't expecting much going by the reviews on here, but we were pleasantly surprised. The location is brilliant, and that was the main reason we chose to stay here. The stairs were pretty awkward to navigate with our cases but once we made it to our... More

This place is a hot mess. So nasty and a waste of money Will never come back even if I were given a free night. This place is so dirty, nasty, terrible and can't believe it's open to the public. I'm very disappointed in my stay at this garbage.

Don't ask why I had entered this place, but I couldn't even imagine ANYONE actually PAYING for a stay here - unless you are only here for 'recreational' purposes. My brief experience was one cold winters night. I mean COLD. Like 3 degrees. Well this place offered a room with NO HEAT and the bonus of a WINDOW A/C which... More

Be afraid! Be very afraid! We understood, given the price, that the New York Inn would be very basic, but we were not prepared for what I can only describe as the putrid squalor we encountered. Because our flight arrived late, we had no choice but to stay there one night, which was one night too many. The first room... More

Dear Kathy V, Thank you so much for your feedback. We truly apologize for the inconveniences experienced at our hotel during your stay. We are in the process of remodelling the hotel so that our guests can experience a much better product and service. There is no elevator at the hotel, because it is one of the few buildings left... My husband and I stayed here - worst decision we made. Before you enter the building there are condemn notices for several rooms. Checked in and the room given to us was on the third floor. The room was in need of basic maintenance, loose sockets, broken outside window pane, stains on the carpet. We asked to be moved to... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in November. All in all it wasent a bad experience we had a low expectation to begin with from the reviews. But for what your paying to be so close to Times Square you can't complain. Yes it's cramped and if your over 6ft the bathroom is uncomfortable. The stairs are certainly a workout... More

Very central hotel in NY - close to Times Square. Small, poor room quality, but nice people - cleaning OK. Bed, bath and toilet - was what we needed. Poor breakfast. The hotel is placed about 300 m from Times Square. The were small, but the hotel people were very nice and willing to solve problems, if any popped up.

I wanted a room for a very low price for just one nights visit, I was going to a concert at Terminal 5 New York. I walked from hotel to hotel, and finally I found this place. Very nice staff that carried my bags through the narrow stairs. I was very happy about gettin a room that not only had... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
