If you don't need tons of amenities (who hangs out in their hotel in NYC anyway?) and want to be close to so much, you should stay here. It's only a couple blocks to Central Park, Columbus Circle... a few more blocks to Times Square, Fifth Avenue, etc. Three us of shared a huge room and the price was quite... More

We had stayed at this hotel four years previously with a grandchild and we returned with another one! Imagine our amazement when the desk clerk remembered us! A wonderful welcome at the door and at the desk. The room was lovely and pristine with every possible amenity we would want including tour books. The hotel is located in the middle... More

The Salisbury Hotel is in a great location and close to a number of subway stations so you can get easily around Manhattan. The rooms Re a large size and ver clean. Most rooms have kitchens or pantries as the hotel calls them. None of the king size bed rooms have a pantry so if you want a pantry (... More

Just returned from our recent New York excursion , staying once again at the Salisbury. Yes it is tired and needs a lick of paint, but for location and size of rooms, it will be hard to beat. Located on 57th, two below central park it is ideal for visiting the big Apple. Metros either side of the hotel, you... More

I took my new wife here as a part of our honeymoon. Just 3 days until we moved on to San Francisco. After reading these reviews I went with the Salisbury due to its location, right next to Central Park. The suite was large and beds very soft. The rate wasn't bad either especially for the location and being NYC... More

We booked a bedroom suite and had read that the rooms at the Salisbury Hotel were larger than your typical NYC hotel. We were however stunned when we saw how spacious the room really was! The room consists of a large hallway with a kitchenette (which includes fridge, microwave and sink) and large living room (with a desk, sofa, chairs,... More

We (family of 3) stayed 4 nights in a standard room (room 816). This was a standard hotel room with 2 double beds. It included a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. At check in (about 11:30 am), we were given a room on 57th street. Reading the reviews here, I asked for a room on the other/quiet side of... More

Before we arrived we knew from other reviews it was old and a bit tired in places and it was, but don't let that put you off. We had a one bedroom suite which had a small kitchen area with fridge and microwave, a table and chairs then in the living area a sofa and chairs. Unlike moist hotel rooms... More

This is a nice older hotel in a great location. Rooms are spacious and staff was very friendly and helpful. Great hotel for value. Would defiantly stay again on future visits and would recommend it to friends!
