This hotel is right across the street from Carnegie Hall and around the corner from Central Park! It has an antique vintage look in the rooms with nice beds! There is a frig and microwave in each room! The bathroom has that old school tile and the shower is a bit cramped! Overall a great location and the staff was... More

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Great location and brilliant staff. A real New York experience. Hotel right beside a really lovely Italian restaurant, which is great. Radio City right across the street and Russian Tea rooms within a stones throw. Will definitely be back some day.

We arrived at this hotel and was booked in by a young man. He did what he had to do but that was all. There was no cheery welcome, info about the room/hotel or any local info. We had a king room which was big, clean and comfortable. Ask for a room at the back of the hotel. We were... More

I stayed at the Salisbury for three nights in early March, along with my mother (in her mid-80s) and my daughter. All of us just loved the place. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had an old-world charm. We had a room with two double beds, which were very comfortable (though a bit soft for my taste). The furniture... More

This hotel is well located, minutes walk to Times Square and Central Park. It maybe a bit old fashioned and not have a great shower but it doesn't take away from its ideal location and friendly concierge, not to mention the very comfortable beds and quiet room! There are plenty coffee/deli/pizza eateries within a minutes walk - I would definitely... More

We stayed at the Salisbury for 4 nights and with what we paid, we got a suite that looked like an apartment. With our own living room and small dining area, the place is a bargain. Only a block away from Central Park Southeast entrance and within walking distance to MOMA, Time Warner Ctr, Rockefeller Ctr and Time Square, we... More

So we found a very good price for this hotel and first of all the location is very nice, it is walking distance from time square and central park, also on the corner you have the subway station, that is very convenient. The hotel is very clean and the room in general was very cozy, it is a little old... More

Good location, easy walk to Central Park, Times Square, Carnige Hall & theater district.Reasonable priced for center of NYC. Room was large & comfy. Tea making facilities, sink & fridge. Bathroom could do with updating. Downsides; No free internet. We were three in the room & each day we had to ring down for either the third set of towels... More

This is a fantastic hotel for the price, location and wonderful staff. The room was huge for NYC hotel standards-we stayed in the double double room, the staff was very friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating (they gave us the room we requested, allowed us to check out a little late because we overslept and arranged for a car service to... Definitely recommend this hotel. It's very central and staff were lovely. We asked for twin room and got a room with 2 double beds, 2 armchairs, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It was fantastic. Beds and pillows were very comfy. would definitely stay there again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
