We had a one bedroom suite with two double beds. Having stayed in a very modern, boutique NY hotel previously, I really appreciated the huge living room and equally spacious bedroom at this hotel. Ok so the bathroom wasn't luxurious but functional and clean, furniture throughout in keeping with the style of the hotel, comfy beds and clean, crisp linen.... More

Stayed here for 5 nights with my son and best friend. Shared a 2 double bedded room which was very spacious and suited our needs. We were at the back on the twelfth floor,we had no noise until we opened the window and then it was just New York noise which was welcome as that is what we wanted to... More

This hotel is in a great location on W. 57th St. The property is obviously an older hotel, and could use a few upgrades, but that did not deter us from having a great stay. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is some traffic noise, but that doesn't bother us. If it bothers you, you might not like this... More

hotel is old,but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had no problem getting around by walking, subway or bus from this location. Check out the Fresh Market grocery store. The only dowmside is the street noise, if you are a light sleeper this hotel is not for you. For the price room size, location, and staff is 5... More

Our stay at the Salisbury Hotel was made even more enjoyable by being upgraded to a suite when the gentleman checking us in discovered it was our Anniversary. The suite was spacious - nothing fancy but comfortable. The bathroom was rather small and the lighting in the suite was rather dim. The staff was very helpful - especially the bellman... More

There were four of us staying in our room. We had a full bedroom, living room, and kitchenette. The hotel is old and the furniture is too, but comfortable. We totally enjoyed our stay and the staff was friendly and helpfull. A great bargain and great location.

Can't get a better location. Rooms are clean and roomy. A bit pricey for my budget. Great deal on Expedia. Walk to Central Park:2min, Times Square(overrated) 15 min Great grocery store across the street. Carnegie Hall on the corner (wanna hear some Wagner?) Would definitely again. staff was helpful.

Hotel is a little dated but clean and safe. The location is ideal and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is easy to walk to many attractions and there are multiple subway stations nearby. It is a good value.

I agree with other travelers that this hotel is dated and kind of ratty, but the location is good, the price is reasonable, and when we had a small leak in the bathroom we were upgraded to a suite (which was much better, by the way). I think all rooms should have coffee makers, instead of just suites, but otherwise... More

A return visit after 10 years. First room (standard - two double beds) was enormous with large updated bathroom. Very nice but at front of hotel so v noisy. After first night we asked for a room at the back. Room was a bit smaller but still spacious. Bathroom not modernised but ok. Much quieter. Breakfast $10 - eat as... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
