I decided to stay here based on reviews and value for money, but I have made the mistake before, where I have tried to save money at the expense of a little comfort. The rooms are fairly big as you would expect in the U.S. So that doesn't explain why the beds are so small! We got 2 double beds,... More

Stayed for several nights in August. Great location. However, definitely needs to be renovated. Looks like university student housing. Couch worn down. Walls could use a new layer of paint. Bathroom tap dripped all night. Cleaners could do a better job cleaning. Many hairs left behind from previous visitors in bathtub, sink, and floor. Price however was great. If you... More

The Salisbury is only a block south of Central Park between 5th Avenue and Broadway. Fabulously convenient. No need for a car which means no need to pay for parking or to battle the traffic. Spacious, although that is almost unheard of in NYC, it is true of the Salisbury. It felt like a little piece of Europe. You have... More

This hotel was perfectly adequate for a central base to explore New York. The room was a good size and clean, with very comfortable beds and plenty of storage. It was also very quiet (apart from the air-conditioning) as I has requested a room at the back away from the traffic. But it was very dated and needs a full... More

What a great location and value. Staff really friendly. Breakfast basic but fine, in room facilities all functional. Air con a bit noisy but that will be individual and elevator tired. No kitchen but can order in or bring in which is great. Space and location at a great price.

We were only in town for one night and were upgraded to a spacious suite on the top floor. The hotel decor was a little tired but there were signs of redecoration takng place. The hotel was clean, the staff were efficient and we had a great stay.

I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of room in the suite. 4 closets, nice sized wet bar area, huge front room and bedroom with a king bed. It was bigger than most one bedroom apartments in NY! The location is promo! Train stations are very close. CP and Columbus Circle a couple of blocks away. Hubby and I walked to... More

Visited New York for four days and this hotel was perfectly placed on 57th street. Central Park and Times Square and Empire State all a walk away. Hotel suite was large comfy bed , hot shower, friendly helpful staff. The only downside was this hotel only offers a cold breakfast no hot cooked food!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
