4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Friendly, helpful staff. Very comfortable room, clean, superbly equipped. Towels changed every day. Very spacious, two double beds, which were very comfortable. Not so good was the noise from the very busy street outside, it certainly is a city which never sleeps. Windows only single glazed. However, the location is excellent for Central Park and various subway stations, you can't... More

I stayed here with my mum staying for a week, our first time in New York. The issues I had is as we walked into the room there was an odd smell and when we asked for this to be sorted we were provided with air freshener, we opted out of the breakfast as we could get fast wifi and... More

this hotel is brilliant if you are having to keep to a budget. Very close to Central Park and the deli that is opposite is brilliant for meals. I would definitely stay here again as the staff were really helpful.

The location is wonderful! All the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. We booked a one bedroom suite. It was clean and spacious. The building is older as are so many hotels in NY but it was comfortable and clean. Would stay here again on future visits.

My friends and I stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is in a good location, with the major attractions a short walk away, Carnegie Hall is across the Road and Tiffany's Jeweler's is a few minutes walk away, with Central Park just around the corner. Despite being on a busy street the noise did not cause a problem for... More

My sister and I went to NYC for an overnight excursion. My film Pacific Edge starring Ed Asner and Barbara Bain was in a film festival and won an award, how could we miss that? We made reservations and expected a nice room but NOWHERE near what we ended up with. When we checked in, we were very early 11AM,... More

This was our second stay at the hotel and it was just as great as our first! If you have a family, this is a GREAT place to stay. The one bedroom suite has two double beds and the spacious living room has a large sofabed that can sleep two. There is a microwave, fridge, coffee-maker, and sink which allows... More

This is a clean, comfortable hotel, with a friendly helpful staff. Rooms are spacious compared to equivalently priced hotels. Lovely breakfast at reasonable price. Good mid-town location, directly across from Carnegie Hall.

We had never been to the USA before and picked this hotel on an Expedia deal. I read the reviews and agree with the good ones. It has a great Midtown location, 5 mins walk from Central Park and a 15 min stroll from Times Square. It is surrounded by subway entrances and we used them all the time including... More

Salisbury is reasonably priced (for New York) and ideally located for visiting New york sites and attractions. Checkin was very easy and gave us access to room by noontime. Continental breakfast on the 3rd floor was convenient and more than adequate ($10 per person). Would book again on my next visit.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
