We were so thrilled with the Salisbury Hotel. It is in such a beautiful area and so close to everything!! My kids appreciated the quietness after the mayhem around Times Square, Rockefeller Center etc...over Christmas! Seriously the streets were crazy busy and it was so calming to come back to the much more relaxed area of the UWS. The subway... More

We have stayed here twice over 4 years and were happy to see familiar friendly faces in the lobby as we checked in for our third visit to New York. The position is wonderful! Central Park is a delight and very close - we enjoyed the zoo there, and many snowy walks. If you upgrade to a suite at the... More

OK, so this hotel is a little dated but it is very conveniently located, clean and a bargain price. For a city break where you spend little time in the hotel this fitted the bill. Rooms at the front of the hotel were a little noisy but acceptable. The breakfast was a fairly basic cold buffet, but acceptable and well... More

Location, just 2 blocks from Central Park and close to Times Square, shopping, restaurants and subways, is about as good as you can get. Room was very clean, room safe, microwave, coffee machine, buffet breakfast is served on the 8th floor if i remember correctly and cost 14$ good value but no restaurant in the hotel for dinner, we stayed... This hotel is in an amazing location. There is a subway station on either end of the block. Time Square is about a 5 minute walk. Restaurants are close by as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are old but always neat and clean. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to travel to New York.

A fantastic location for the Theatre district, Central Park, 5th Avenue and the Museum Mile. All within easy walking distance. The hotel is opposite The Russian tea rooms and Carnegie Hall and two blocks away from Broadway. We stayed in February 2015 in one of the coldest spell on record and the hotel was cosy and warm. That said it... More

The cons - lobby wasn't much, not too friendly desk staff initially, our room wasn't well vaccuumed (part of a candy wrapper on the floor), small bathroom, tired decor. The pros - great location on 57th street near subway and Carnegie Deli, walking distance to theaters, windows that opened, upgraded to a huge suite with 4 closets, little fridge and... More

Salisbury Hotel is located on 57th Street, across the street and down the block from Carnegie Hall. It is only 2 blocks from Columbus Circle, SW corner of Central Park. It is about 1 mile north of Times Square...location, location, location! Staff at the hotel are amazingly helpful and dedicated to courtesy. I have stayed at the Salisbury 3 times... More

Location, just 2 blocks from Central Park and close to the theatre district, shopping, restaurants and subways, is about as good as you can get. Room was very clean, with a newly renovated bathroom, room safe, microwave, coffee machine and view over W57th street. W57th street is a busy street, so don't expect the hotel to be very quiet. It... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
