Just the job for a few days stay in the city. The location is central and well placed for Times square, Central park and the subway all within easy walking distance. With a good grocery just across the road and a fridge in the room, self catering is simple.

Would definitely stay here again! Centrally located for theaters, shopping, and sight seeing. It's an older hotel, but the rooms are comparatively huge, suite offers separate bedroom with a door which closes. The staff are friendly and super helpful.

Have just returned from a week at this hotel. Can't recommend it highly enough - the rooms have an old school charm, comfortable beds and very spacious. Bathroom was perhaps a little tired, but had everything you need. Staff were efficient and friendly - we arrived very late at night and I had a problem of my own making that... More

Salisbury Hotel Stayed 4 nights in March 2015 - family of three. Suite room on 17th floor, facing 57th street. Excellent location near Central Park, Carnegie Hall and subway stops. Good:Suite was huge- basically two rooms- nice furniture and beds (two doubles- firm but very comfortable). Bathroom dated but good. Nice litte kitchenette with fridge, microwave and coffee pot and... More

A tired but well placed hotel. Lifts are slow. I would get a room on a higher floor. Staff friendly . I did not try the breakfast as many food places are in close proximity. Perfect location. I would stay again.

Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of March. The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is a 5/10 minute walk to Times Square, Central Park and 5th Avenue. The room we had was on the 7th floor and faced the back of the hotel so we weren't bothered by any noise considering how busy 57th street is.... More

As many others before me, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I had originally booked a stay at a brand name hotel further along 57th street, but changed my booking when I found this one - same amenities and room at a fraction of the price. The reviews I read were all very good but I wasn't expecting the hotel... More

Stayed here in October for my daughter's sweet 16 trip. Our room was large, with a good sized closet and bathroom. The room overlooked 57th Street, and the noise was no where near as bad as I expected. The hotel is older, but what it lacks in amenities it more then makes up for in location, room size, and exceptional... More

This hotel is right across the street from Carnegie Hall and around the corner from Central Park! It has an antique vintage look in the rooms with nice beds! There is a frig and microwave in each room! The bathroom has that old school tile and the shower is a bit cramped! Overall a great location and the staff was... More

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Great location and brilliant staff. A real New York experience. Hotel right beside a really lovely Italian restaurant, which is great. Radio City right across the street and Russian Tea rooms within a stones throw. Will definitely be back some day.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
