Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. A few days prior to the tour commencing isn't them an email with regards to Se what time the tour people can check in and all I got was "check in is a Three pm" Not a good Afternoon Ms such and such, that was it. Other than that, a great... More

This place has personality and charm. It is full of European families visiting NY and none the worse for it. The rooms are huge by NY standards, the penthouse salt water pool is delicious and the bellboys are kind and charming. It's constant drip feed of charges for the Wifi, the AC was never that strong and the water wasn't... More

We stayed for 3 nights in July in a junior suite, after flight delays and booking.com cancelling the booking as a no show the hotel sorted everything out and we had a great stay. We were in the block at the back of the hotel which was really quiet at night time no noise at all. Great central location. Reception... More

not particularly welcoming @ front desk and concierge was just OK also not very encouraging or helpful once we had done our research on-line for tickets there was 'limited' assistance she could offer and wanted to charge us for printing/accessing her computer for completion of reservation. We ended doing it on our own successfully. Again not helpful Valet/bell hop service.... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in late July. I thought the location was great. You are 2 long blocks away from the subway, but its New York...You have to know that you're going to be walking. You can walk to times square and central park, and take the subway every else. E and C lines at 8th and 50th... More

Very good value considering the cost of hotels in midtown and a pleasant place to stay. On the fringe of Hells Kitchen, it is just a ten minute walk to the great theater district restaurants and about a 3\4 mile walk to Times Square. If you absolutely must have a car, and I recommend that you don't, there is a... More

We stayed for 2 nights the 3 of us in one of the Deluxe Queen rooms (2 queen beds and adequately spacious). My first impression is that the professional pictures on the website were probably taken right after a major remodel. While certainly not run-down and dirty, a lot of the carpeting and furnishings were visibly worn. This is a... More

My husband and I stayed here for five nights in June with 2 grandchildren. It's an older hotel and could use a bit of a touch up. The room was roomy and had two queen size beds ( they were very comfortable) which is not easy to find at a fair price in NYC. The room was dated but very... More

Hotel clean tidy.. Receptionist on arrival could have been a little more smiley, very straight to the point... Maid came every day, made beds and put in clean towels... Great location.. 10 -15 mins walk and in time square.... We did request a skyline view from our room before travelling by email and had confirmation that request received, as travelling for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
