Just got back from My stay in the Skyline 27th Jan-1st Feb. Stopped in a superior room 837 great views over the city but take ear plugs as you may be unlucky and get a noisy family next door to you like I did. Some people just do not think of other people in the hotel. The walls are thin... More

First time to the "Big Apple" and after researching loads of hotels within my budget I decided to choose this one. And so glad I did. It's in a great location and not far to walk to Broadway and the fantastic Time Square! Took us about 15 minutes walk. From Time Square it was easy to navigate where we wanted... More

This was my first trip to New York and a friend recommended this hotel. My husband, daughters and I had a wonderful experience. We drove into the city and left our car at the hotel, the price for parking was excellent!! We had a room with two queen beds which was much more spacious than I expected and very comfortable.... We stayed here for 5 days in nov. After a lot of trawling of TA decided to book this hotel based on ratings, reviews, location and price. We weren't disappointed. I think the location is great, 10 min walk to Times Square, nearest subway stn only 2 min walk. Check-in upon arrival was swift, friendly and easy. They stored our... More

We stayed here before Christmas and it was part of a package arranged via/through Virgin. I read the reviews before and was a little concerned but gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Checked in - all OK. Location is a little far out but fine if you don't mind a hike.49th is a great street whilst 7th is... More

Stayed in a twin room. Room was quite spacious, clean and tidy but didnt quite look as good as the photos. I was disapointed that there are no coffee facilities in the room although there is a mini fridge . Hotel staff were all friendy and helpful Location is good for Times Square which is only a very short walk... More

We were booked for a 5 night stay but this turned into 7 nights because of the snow. On arrival the heating was blowing cold only and water running cold. The heating was sorted straight away the water was a little more troublesome. We were told to 'let it run' which we did and it became Luke warm. What we... More

We have stayed at several hotels over the last few years, but will come back to The Skyline. This is in part due to price, as we want to stay for longer & longer in the city, but also because of room size & locarion. We were in an executive king room for 2 weeks & the space in the... More

We ended up booking this hotel last minute with a blizzard impending in NYC. The room (we had a suite) was very clean and comfortable. The room was also quiet - could not hear traffic outside. Unfortunately the pool was closed during the blizzard as they didn't have a lifeguard but they opened the next day and we were able... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
