We stayed for 6 nights last week of April 2015. Although road works around the hotel during the day we found the evenings were quiet. Sleep quality good. We selected this hotel mainly due to the indoor swimming pool which the opening hours of we found odd. 7am to 9am & then 5pm to 10pm during the week Yes the... More

We stayed here for four nights November 2014 first time in New York and found it to be an excellent location, only five to ten minutes to Times Square walking. The Hotel was clean and our room was comfortable, everything was in good working order. We had a meal and drinks in the bar-restaurant and food and service were excellent... More

You cannot beat this location just a couple blocks from Times Square and the parkways into Manhattan from CT. The facility is dated, but clean and well maintained. Valet parking at $10 per night, and you can keep your car there until 3p on dat of checkout for no extra fee. Service was friendly. Clean and affordable at a reasonable... More

We stayed for four nights on our first visit to the US and NYC. Location was great for us and we walked every where. Hotel a bit dated but fine for us. We were in main block and only discovered the great skyline view when we visited the pool, which was warm and not very busy. Only negative was heating... More

Our room was comfortable enough, and we slept well, but the view of a brick wall was a little uninspiring. Our only issue with the place at all was the charges for internet use. However, the lady at the information desk was extremely helpful and friendly, even allowing us to ring the UK to let our family know we had... More

It is always nice to hear that a staff member provided great service. Sorry you did not have a great view from your room and I hope you visited our Penthouse level for the best views of the city skyline. Thank you for your kind comments, Mark Hurewitz More

I like this hotel, like the location, room sizes, cleanliness etc however on arrival in our deluxe queen room it wasn't as clean as I'd hoped, the floor obviously had not been vaccumed as there was a comb, an elastic band but more worryingly a pill lying on the floor!!! The front of the aircon unit was hanging off and... More

Stayed at the Skyline in October of 2014. One day the outdoor temperatures were over 70 degrees. Although the AC unit was on the Coldest setting it was hot and humid in the room, We were sweeting trying to get dressed for the theatre and dinner that evening, I had read reviews that brought up cooling issues in rooms. I... More

We stayed 4 nights here with the kids. The hotel is clean & tidy, albeit a little tired, but the location is brilliant. We walked to Central Park, the High Line (reasonable hike), Times Square and short walk to the Subway for downtown, Statue of Liberty, 911 Memorial etc. We paid around $250 -$300 a night by booking well ahead,... We have stayed at this hotel 3 times, are are booked in again in May 2015. Have found the rates reasonable by NY standards, and the rooms are clean and large with fat-screen, safe box, and refrigerator. It could do with a coffee maker in the room and free WiFi though. Although on the Hells Kitchen fringe, it's a 10... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
