Stayed here for 4 nights and was really pleased. Room for four was massive, clean and had fabulous comfy beds. Bell staff really friendly, didnt eat in hotel because of prices, and bar prices were high but found it to be the same all over New York, No problems with some of the things other people had reviewed such as... I thought, given prices in N.Y. City, that this was a good buy. The room was just fine and the location was great. We walked everywhere, but could have easiIy gotten busses. Breakfast in the hotel was ok. Maybe it was as well priced as would have been found elsewhere, but it would be fun to find someplace else to... More

Just came back from a 2 night stay. Before booking, I had called & asked them if they had parking since it was my first time in NYC. The Gentleman on the otherside said they have hotel parking for $25 a night. Felt it wasn't too bad & drove for 12 hrs and reached the hotel. Was shocked to find... More

This hotel is a dump..don't waste your time staying here. I had a business conference here so I didn't have a choice. My stay started when I was checked into a room with the a/c barely working onthe 17th floor. Thankfully, I was switched to the 11th floor. Later during my stay the elevators broke down and I had to... More

Stayed here twice on stopovers to Aruba. Arrived tired and met by friendly staff who accommodated us on the 2nd floor (as she doesn't do lifts). Hotel food not 'haute cuisine' but nice. Everyone very friendly, the concierge was extremely helpful for the shuttle arrangements and tour guide info. The hotel is very close to Central Park for an early... More

I got to the Holiday Inn Midtown - NYC, after staying in two other Holiday Inn Express in Canada. This one not being "express" I actually expected a better hotel and got the opposite. The staff was nice and attentive, the hotel itself is huge but compared to its "brothers" it was a little poorer and more expensive. I know... More

The room had a terrible musty smell that pretty much made us sick. The vent in the bathroom had an inch of dust hanging from it. I think the smell in the room orginated in the heating and cooling vents. These rooms need to be properly cleaned and fumigated before they are fit to stay in. Do yourself a favor... More

We booked our 5 night stay months in advance and got a very good rate. We were thrilled with the location of our room - on the 16th floor, looking south, towards the rooftop pool on the hotel's lower tower. Even though the room was basic and no frills, the view was wonderful! We could watch the sunset over the... More

My sisters and I received extremely poor customer service at the front desk and the bar! After flying from California, we arrived early in the morning and the man at the front desk told us that we could check our bags in the Hotel and our room would be ready by ten or eleven. (we had confirmed a double bed,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
