This is one of the worst holiday inn I've been to. The room is not clean. More importantly, the wall is so thin that I can hear what exactly the next door is doing. The price and location is good though.

Great location and good price in NYC. Walking distance to both Central Park and Times Square. We had no problems with our stay. We were a bit worried that part of the hotel is smoking because we are both very sensitive to second-hand smoke but we had no issues. The staff was nice, and helped us find some places eat... More

I had my room broken into and my cellphones and other items were stolen. The hotel security and Hotel Manager were very rude, insensitive, casual and nonchalant about the theft. They begged me NOT to call the police and would not allow me to utilize their phones to call for help. In the end, they ended up blaming me for... More

Have stayed here now a few times, the most recent in December 2010. The rooms are all large with plenty of room to move around, we had 2 queen beds and the room could easily have taken a 3rd with room to spare. The beds were very comfortable with a choice of pillows. There was a TV, desk, coffee maker... More

Stayed here with my wife and 3 children (9, 9 and 5 y.o.) from 12/10/2010-12/12/2010. I was anxious given the mixed reviews. I thought the hotel was great. The location is perfect...short walk to Central Park. The lobby is very nice and the room was much more spacious than I expected (by NYC hotel standards). For the super picky the... More

we went to NY for 7 nights, the hotel was quite some walk from the main attractions. on arrival we were greeted by the rudest front desk staff ever, she was so rude i was gobsmacked, no hello or greeting at all, and grunts in response to questions. shocking! The hotel was ok, its being 'done up' at the moment,... More

Can't believe some of the negative reviews on this site - some people are just serial complainers. I was nervous about our stay here due to the bad reviews - but need not have worried. Hotel is in a good location approx. 10 mins from the Rockerfella Centre also close to Central Park, the tube station is nearby and easy... More

I stayed here recently for a business trip. It is high season in NYC and all hotels were priced sky high. I found this hotel online with a very reasonable rate. Location is not too bad....its a 20 minute walk to Times Square, Rockerfeller Center, Carnegie Hall, etc. However, the hotel itself is old, outdated, dirty and unappealing. My room... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
