I've stayed at the Standard Highline and the Mandarin Oriental in NYC and can't believe I never knew about this place. I honestly wish I stayed here instead of the Highline. Thanks to the Hotel Tonight app we found this little treasure in the middle of a huge city. The lobby is lovely and first impressions of the staff are... More

Overall, an excellent place to stay while in Manhattan. Close to many places of interest and great restaurants. We were on a pleasure-oriented trip, but also saw a number of businessmen at breakfast and wine reception each day. We stayed almost one week in a Deluxe Room with one Queen bed. The staff was always friendly and helpful, a treat... More

We stayed here for five nights with our two teenagers last week. We had stayed at the Casablanca Hotel in NYC about 18 months ago but they didn't have twin beds available so decided to give Hotel Elysee a go. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast and the wine and cheese evenings were wonderful and the kids loved... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights based on the positive reviews on this website. We have visited New York several times before staying in various hotel from The Hampton Inn, The Helmsley, District and The Waldorf Astoria to name a few. This hotel did not disappoint, every positive comment we had read on tripadvisor was true from the... More

It’s a very charming hotel/boutique in every detail. Excelent location, very kind staff, nice breakfast and wifi, and specially, wonderful free cheese and wines!! That’s a really good differentiation!

The a Hotel Elysee was above any expectations I had when I booked this hotel (thanks to the great views from tripadvisor)! The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were very quaint and more spacious then I expected from an NYC hotel room. To top it all off the breakfast in the morning is amazing... More

Elegant ,friendly hotel,Central to most NY attractions. Rooms (even the smallest category in which we stayed of good size). Nice breakfast and evening wine and canapé reception.Staff all exceptionally helpful and welcoming.Only complaint would be that the room air conditioning was inefficient. Never had problems with lift accessibility, which other reviewers have complained of. A real haven in Manhattan.

the Élysée is fantastic, we stayed for our honeymoon in 2014 and were very impressed. Received an upgrade to a huge suite with balcony, location is perfect, rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, beautiful continental breakfast and wine and cheese in the evening. Staff were very polite and accomodating, free movie rental for the rainy night in. A gem in... More

my husband and I just spent 6 nights at the Hotel Elysee. We have stayed in numerous Manhattan hotels and this is most definetly our favourite. Included is both breakfast and a wine reception each evening. The hotel's location is marvellous with a subway just round the corner. We dined at the famous Monkey Bar on one evening. Very elegant,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
