We brought our grandson on a birthday trip to NYC and found the Elysee on the recommendation of a friend. The hotel is well located and is a great small intimate hotel. The staff was very responsive and helpful. We would highly recommend the Elysee and look forward to our next visit,

What a great small hotel. Wonderful continental breakfast and Wine & Cheese and other things each evening. Also a great location on 54th between Madison & Park. Walking distance to MOMA, 5th Avenue and other Art Galleries. Excellent restaurants nearby.

Our favorite hotel in NYC. Friendly helpful & most courteous staff... Great location close to Central Park & a short walk to Broadway. Just a few blocks away from the best movie theatre- the Paris, which features only one screen & shows only independent & foreign films. The 2nd floor lounge is fabulous serving both breakfast & afternoon wine, cheese... More

Lucky find. Located just 3 blocks from my meeting. Great restaurants within walking distance. The Hotel looks quaint from the outside. There rooms, however, were very generous and elegant. My only requests would be more outlets especially near the bed.

I needed a place to stay on business in New York, and Hotel Elysee was perfect. It is in Midtown and within easy walking distance to Central Park, 5th Avenue, Madison Avenue, theatre district. The hotel reminded me of those in Europe with cozy entrance, mirrors and painted walls. The room was a good size for 1 or 2 people, but... More

An unassuming building exterior, doesn't look like anything special from the outside. Old style elegance inside. Building was built in 1925 apparently. BUT.....Walk in and the staff and are young and fantastic. If you need something brought up to room, they have someone up there in a flash. Nice big rooms - (not like so many hotel rooms in Manhattan... More

Stayed two night at the Elysee in July, and it was well worth the stay. Rooms are large for NYC - with more than enough room to sit and read, watch TV or research. Location is great, just near 5th av and time square, but quiet enough to be away from the maddening crowd. There are a couple of resturnats... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
