Highly recommend! A treasure of a hotel. Spent a recent anniversary here, and it was heaven. The king suite was beyond my expectations and the staff was generous and pleasant. This is not a brand new hotel, so if that is your preference you should go elsewhere. This super clean hotel is for the person that appreciates a fine patina... More

Nice, small romantic hotel in a relatively quiet street, only few steps from 5th Avenue and from Central Park. Location is simply excellent. Rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, evoking "good old times". Complimentary breakfast and at the evening hors d'oeuvre with wine, where you can get it? Polite and helpful staff. We will come again!

I have stayed at the Elysee twice this year. I really like this hotel for a few reasons. First, it's small and you don't feel like a number. Second, the rooms are quite nice. Could use an update, but still perfectly acceptable. Third, free wi-fi, albeit a little slow. Fourth, the free breakfast has stuff I like to eat and... More

Wonderful location. Staff very friendly and provided very helpful info about city. Beautiful rooms and library. Will definitely be back. Regret that my friend and I left too early in morning to enjoy delicious-appearing breakfasts.

This is my second time at the Elysee. While the facility is a little worn given the level of service you don't really nice. If you're looking for something close to 5th Ave. shopping and Central Park look no further. It's a great value and a very comfortable stay.

The location is so close to so many places we wanted to be---we walked almost everywhere. The staff is so friendly and helpful, especially the front desk and door crews. The breakfast buffet that came with the room was really good and there was plenty of it. The wonderful Monkey Bar is right in the lobby, though always crowded when... More

Over from the UK. The hotel was recommended by our American friends, we're so glad we followed their advice as we loved it and we will be back. It's in a great location. The wine and cheese at 5pm is a great touch. We also loved The Monkey Bar and restaurant.

We recently spent 2 nights at the Elysee.Nice hotel with pleasant staff. The complimentary breakfast and evening cheese and wine are a bonus. Our room on the 7th floor was a little dated and the wi-fi spotty. Never the less I would still recommend this well located hotel.

Great location if you want to be near Central Park. We like to be near a park when we travel, for walks, maybe runs etc and Hotel Elysee is only a few blocks away from the bottom end. Also very close to 5th Ave stores etc. Staff were very nice. Having breakfast included was good for an NYC hotel. But... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
