I had to be in NYC at the last minute for business. I went online to the Elysee website to book a room it said there was no availability. I called the hotel and told them my name and they said to me "oh you've stayed here before" and I said, "yeah and I haven't been able to book on... More

Great hotel in a a great location. The hotel staff is excellent, always taking the the time needed to show or guide guests. Our second visit and just as good as the first. We will be returning next year.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Central Park, Bloomingdales, buses up Madison Ave and 2 close subway options. While it is showing its age and looking a bit tired in furnishings etc... it is not very pricey, so a fair trade off. The bfasts were very nice, all I ever need is fresh fruit, cereal and... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 3 weeks this summer for the first time and I just loved it! The staff is super helpful, the rooms are lovely and every morning there is a beautiful breakfast of fresh fruit, muffins, coffees and more, every evening there is wine and cheese. Medina was in the breakfast room... More

Hotel location is excellent for tourist attractions whether you want to walk or subway suits both. Rooms very clean. Breakfast, all day refreshments, complimentary cheese and wine from 5pm each evening is such a benefit. Biggest benefit of this hotel is the staff - all very friendly, efficient and go the extra mile for their guests. The staff made the... More

I cant even begin to say how much we enjoyed The Hotel Elysee. The location was fantastic. The staff were incredible. The most helpful, delightful, courteous staff I have ever encountered. I can't wait to come back. I will most definitely stay there again.

Very enjoyable stay, wonderfully equipped, spacious and quiet rooms. Enjoyed the free cheese and wine offer after each days sightseeing. Only slight down was the visit to the famous Monkey bar attached to the hotel. Very busy, no room to enjoy a cocktail in the bar before being seated in the restaurant and then unfortunate enough to get a grumpy... More

For some 40 years I have been visiting New York City. Thus I have stayed in a great many hotels, including a number of five star properties. Simply said, the Hotel Elysee is the absolute best in so many ways. It is crystal clear that the management is the very best. Started out by finding our room surprisingly large and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
