The Hotel Elysee exceeded our expectations. It has a certain European homey and cozy charm to it that I adore. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that our room (70) had a solarium attached which added to the size of the room and provided a very nice place to sit and relax. The room was at the rear of the... More

I traveled to NYC with a friend for a wedding. Booked with another hotel that was completely unsatisfactory. In desperation I called the Elysee to see if they could take us for the week. I could not get in that night but was accommodated for five nights. We arrived on Thursday morning and the Elysee was everything and more that... More

I went here with my fiancee to celebrate our recent engagement somewhere locally, and it met and exceeded all of our expectations. We told them what the occasion was and upon check-in they upgraded us to the nicest suite in the hotel. It had a piano in it! The decor is classic, the room unbelievable, and the amenities spectacular. The... More

We have just spent another delightful weekend at the Hotel Elysee, our favorite hotel in New York. Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a lovely French breakfast in the club room. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

WOW! I called two other NYC hotels this morning and literally pushed away from my desk in disgust. One 4.5 star hotel reservation 'specialist', when asked if I could speak to someone about a reservation for Saturday night replied "well....I am reservations. I don't know who else you would talk to". Another front desk personnel at a different hotel told... More

We had great friendly service will staying at Hotel Elysee. We had two small children 21 months and 8 months old and it was very accommodating for them. They even emptied the mini bar for me so I didn't have a toddler drinking alcohol and so I could store milk and food for the babies. They were beyond superior. Would... More

We've stayed at Hotel Elysee several times and it always fails to disappoint. The second floor lounge is a wonderful place to start or end your day. The staff is friendly and so accommodating and you can't beat the location.

This is the best place in the whole city. I went for a weekend with my best friend of 35 years and we enjoyed it immensely. I've stayed all over the world and this is probably one of the most quaint spots I've been do. The staff were beyond friendly and caring, the Monkey Lounge was lovely and the breakfast... More

We stayed here for several days while attending our son's graduation, and were delighted with the accommodations! The beds were comfortable, the furnishings were elegant, and they had all the amenities we could have asked for, or supplied them readily at our request. We stayed in a King Suite, which had a separate bedroom, and a fold out couch in... More

Booked my reservations on Hotel.com last minute. Loved this hotel. Wine and cheese and a delicious breakfast. All included. Had the best Dirty Martini ever in The Monkey Bar. And delicious room service. Walked to The Frick and Neue Gallery. I'll come again.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
