This was my first visit to Hotel Elysee and I certainly hope not the last. A perfect location for all the things we wanted to see and do. Most importantly the staff was wonderful and the property itself was lovely. Don't miss the breakfast or cocktail hour.

The hotel is centrally located and accessible by public transportation. It is clean, quiet and secure. We arrived one evening at 6:00 PM and the staff at the front desk checked us in flawlessly, showed us to our room and when we requested their help with getting tickets to a Broadway evening performance, they obtained the tickets and had them... I stayed at the Hotel Elysee, on March 21, 2015. I fell in love with this hotel the moment I drove up to the front entrance. Upon arrival, the doorman was there to greet me and he was warm and friendly. I entered into a cozy beautiful lobby, with magnificent black and white marble flooring, a chandelier worthy of a... Hotel was very well located for Shows , Museums and Upmarket shopping. Plenty of Subways to move you around the city. Hotel staff very friendly and efficient, breakfast room not bad - would be better if they used the adjacent restaurant as sitting on Sofa’s not ideal for breakfast and not enough tables to sit at for so many rooms.Late... This was our fourth stay at the Elysee and the most enjoyable yet. We loved our 14th floor room with a small terrace. It was a basic double room but felt spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent but what keeps us coming back is the terrific service and intimate feel (in contrast to the impersonal nature of large hotels).... More

As always, a great stay and the staff was on top of all the fine details making it stress free. The check in was efficient and speedy and the bell staff ready and willing to help with luggage and point us in the right direction. To close out the evening, having the bar in the Hotel is a nice finishing... More

My friend and I stayed 3 nights (Thursday thru Sunday). Old-school, charming, boutique-y and quiet. We loved it! Each staff person we encountered from front-desk, to bellman, to server at breakfast was pleasant, helpful and just plain nice. Admittedly, it is on the small side (I thought of places I've stayed in Verona and Rome) - but thoroughly charming. Convenient... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. It is a beautiful hotel. Complimentary breakfast was suitable for us but may be too limited for others. The wine and hors d'oeuvres each evening was a lovely touch and provided a great atmosphere - you go and have a glass of wine with your partner/friends; no mingling required. They had... More

I loved my high-ceilinged room with its traditional furnishings and two windows with street views. Spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. Enjoyed the Club Room for breakfast & 5-8 reception. Fridge, microwave, kitchen area but no utensils: I ate take-out so it didn't matter. Lovely marble bathroom, excellent shower, huge closet. Location was superb, one block away from 5th Avenue and... If you're looking for an alternative to the Times-Square-crush high-rise hotel, this is a great one. The hotel decor is charming--I read another reviewer's comment on the decor needing a paint and a refresh, and all I can think is that one man's "refresh" is another man's "charm." The food is very good, the breakfast/happy hour room is comfortable, and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
