This was our first visit but will not be our last! Imagine being in the center of New York- 54th and Madison- but you are now in a charming country inn and that is Elysee. Lovely appointed rooms, knowledgeable staff and the delightful second floor offering breakfast goodies, afternoon wine and cheese reception and refreshments throughout the day to all... More

Hadn't stayed at the Elysee in awhile and had been staying at another hotel close by. I made the reservation on line at the least expensive rate.and was delighted when the staff put us in a huge suite complete with a grand piano!

I usually stay in Elysee Hotel while on business trips in New York. I benefit the proximity to my office at Park Ave. and shopping in 5th Ave. if you have free time, the Central Park is only 10 minutes away. Rooms are nor big but cosy and decorated nicely. Breakfast offers good variety of food. And you can also... More

The Elysee is a treasure of midtown Manhattan. They offer excellent service and amenities. It is always a very comfortable place to return at the end of a busy day. The front desk staff is very helpful and accommodating.

This lovely inn provides the elegance of ambiance, epitome of professionalism and a sense of "being home". Staff is gracious, welcoming and knowledgeable. The breakfast area decor and seating arrangements are exceptional and the quality of nutrition is top drawer.

This is a very nice, friendly, smaller NYC hotel that we will most assuredly return to. The staff takes a sincere interest in the guests and makes the place feel a bit like home (which can be a tough trick in NYC). The morning breakfast is excellent, good service, lots of choices, nice atmosphere. While we were not particularly looking... More

This hotel is classic in all the sense of the word. Decoration is very much classic, with the hotel pretty much covered in wallpaper, even some spots with silk wallpaper! I think the ONLY elevator precedes the time when electricity was invented! I think they want to preserve some old world charm. This hotel is not for the traveler seeking... More

We have been to New York several times before and tend to stay at the larger hotels but from now on, this is where we will be heading. The location is perfect, just 2 blocks from 5th Avenue and not far from Saks, the Rockefeller Centre and Central Park. Check-in was efficient, no nonsense and super friendly with Wilton. We... More

This is the 2nd visit to the hotel and it didn't disappoint a second time around.Beautiful hotel , great location. The service by all staff excellent, nothing is too much trouble. Some lovely touches, the conintental breakfast and the " happy hour" from 5.00pm until 8.00pm delightful. It is an oasis in the city that never sleeps!!!

Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Beautiful hotel. I will definitely stay here again. The hotel has a lounge where there is cheese and wine served every evening. Good location and very clean.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
