I was not impressed. I am a Hilton Diamond Member and stay at lots of Hiltons and I have to say this is the worst one I have experienced. The room rate was ridiculously high even for Manhattan. There was no doorman at 9 pm on a weeknight. I got stuck in the elevator. The hotel is old and creaky.... More

Please accept our apology for the absence of our doorman when you arrived at our hotel. We do have a doorman scheduled until well past 9pm every night so I would assume he was assisting another gust when you arrived. This is a historic landmark hotel so you are correct about its age, but we have never before been described... More

Good location for the business trip I was on in east Midtown. All aspects of my three day stay were great. Front desk, room service, doorman, Concierge, and the meeting room we booked were all as expected. As the other reviewers have noted, the rooms are small, but frankly, I wasn't hanging out in the room, only slept there, so... More

Booked the romance package. When we arrived at 5:30pm our room was not ready. After waiting, we got into our room and noticed there was no Champagne or breakfast vouchers that came in the romance package. Called down and was told we did not book a romance package and were told sorry. While searching for my reservation on my phone,... More

I am very sorry that we did not deliver the service you rightfully expected and for spoiling what was supposed to be a surprise weekend. No excuses ...we obviously dropped the ball here. You will note, however, that almost every other TripAdvisor review describes our very caring staff and great service so your experience, while very regrettable, is not at... More

I was amazed at size of this room. My son stayed in room with me, and we had two beds in there. Everything was clean, showers were great and plenty of counter space. Really enjoyed our stay here and would do so again.

If you need to be close to the UN then this hotel certainly fits the bill. Not luxurious and like many New York places the rooms are smallish, but clean functional with a very helpful staff. Of course if your goal is to be in the heart of times square then this location is a bit further away. There is... More

This Hotel is a bit off the beaten path, but is a very good quality small Hotel. Rooms well appointed and comfortable. Excellent service and very clean. Would recommend for business or leisure. Stayed as part of a room block for a trade show but would choose the Hotel again

Thank you for your "little gem" description. We are very pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are a bit removed from the busier parts of midtown, but only a very short walk away from shopping, restaurants, and attractions. We hope to see you again during a leisure visit to New York. More

The staff, particularly at the front desk and housekeeping were friendly and extremely responsive. Give the restaurant a miss for breakfast. Overpriced, horrible buffet breakfast. Great location, walking distance to everything you want to see.

Great people in all positions at this hotel. I just wish this hotel was closer to time square. Long walk to theater but mostly you have to do a lot of cabbing. There are several good restaurants in this neighborhood. Overall very nice to place to stay.

Thank you for the nice comments about our hotel and the friendly service provided by our staff. Times Square is only six blocks away, but just far enough to ensure that our guests can enjoy the peaceful east side of midtown. Hope to see you again soon. More

Conveniently located close to the HQ of my organization facilitating movement between hotel and office. Easy to move around the city for shopping, site seeing. Hotel staff were very kind and always ready to help and give assistance. It has a serene atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. It is around the corner from the UN and a couple of (long) blocks from the Central Station (that is must see attraction). Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
