My partner and I stayed here in late May. We booked this hotel because the price was great and included breakfast each night (just over $200 US per night). We had a budget and wanted to stick to it. Not wanting to spend more than $200US a night in NYC (notoriously known for some of the most expensive accommodation holdings... More

This hotel has everything a traveller needs: a great room with a great view, a terrific bed, an LCD tv and a nice bathroom. Moreover, it is located at the eastend of 42nd Street, which makes for a nive walk towards midtown. The only thing I didn't like were the rates for wireless internet: $16 per day. That's a little... Having had a long long day involving travel, presentations and business meetings, I was delighted by the friendly check in process in reception. Armed with my room key I was soon able to freshen up with a powerful shower so that I could stand my own company once more. Having been given a restaurant recommendation from a friend, the staff... I as in town for a wedding elsewhere in town - stayed the nights of June 10 and 11. I was upgraded to a "Junior Suite" (due to my Hilton Gold member status?) which is basically a slightly larger room Bathroom was spacious and included a bidet and jacuzzi tub (which i used to shower, only). The room was very... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. Paid nearly $600 per night for the room (high season in New York I guess, there was nothing for less than $400 in the city). To be clear: overall rating would be average-to-good if the value for money weren't so bad. Check-in was efficient rather than friendly; service generally was of the... More

The location of this hotel is great if you want to be in a quieter area of town. It's a quick walk from Grand Central where you can easily grab the subway or train to many points. It's in a quieter neighborhood that turns residential within a block or two. The hotel has a nice lobby area that's not massive... More

I won a good bid on this hotel at Priceline. I believe I paid $175/night which is pretty good for a 3-4ish Star hotel. This was the former Tudor Hotel, which is apparently a historical hotel in NYC. Historical indeed. Despite the modern furniture and bathroom design, everything else feels old. The elevator is tiny and the hallways ignited the... More

My husband and I stayed here awhile ago and were supposed to stay again recently. However, I got very sick and we couldn't. My husband is a Diamond member and when he called the hotel to tell them we wouldn't be coming, they told him he had to get a doctor's note to show them I was indeed sick. What... More

An old hotel with plenty of charm that borderlines in dated. Close to the action but quiet. Staff is super nice and eager to solve any problem, but it's hard to get over the small, dark room, with old furniture. Excellent internet and very nice bath amenities.
