My wife and I stayed at the Tudor Hotel for a long weekend and had a very good experience. This was my first experience booking through Priceline and I was a bit apprehensive about how it might work out. After booking I contacted the hotel to ask about a room with a king bed. The reservation clerk informed me that... more

We stayed at the Tudor from the 8-12th of Oct. Nothing fancy. Booked on Priceline for a reasonable price. The room with one bed was TINY, but the room with 2 double was OK. It didn't matter, we didn't come for the hotel, anyway. We came to see New York City! The rooms were clean and there was an in... more

Reservations were made directly to the hotel in May 2009 for Oct 2009, for 5 nights.. (Telephone statement verifies the telephone number). Because of the low rate offered, they said they required a credit card payment in advance. An e-mail message was returned to us with confirmation number, address of hotel, phone number They also told us during the phone... more

We expected more of a boutique style hotel based on the reviews we had read but instead found it to be very plain with little style. Our intial queen size deluxe room seemed anything but as it was very small and cramped. We checked with the front desk to make sure that it was a queen size deluxe, and also... more

The lobby is practically nonexistent, the doors behind the reception desk are falling apart, the carpeting in the restaurant and bar are not clean (we didnt eat there, it looked a little depressing), the concierge I guess is only there in the morning, and not in the greatest of moods (let alone helpful). The rooms are TINY, we didnt know... more

Wow, we really enjoyed this hotel. After reading some of the negative reviews we were really concerned. The hotel is beautiful; listed in the National Register of Historic Hotels. Our room and bathroom were immaculate. I loved the location, just a few blocks from Grand Central and surrounded by restaurants. more

The Tudor hotel was located about 2 blocks from Grand Central station, which allowed us to take the subway pretty much anywhere. The room was kind of small, but as would be expected anywhere in NYC. Overall, good hotel in a great location. more

I had stayed at this hotel back in the 1970's and remember it as rather dark and gloomy and not very special. My stay here a few weeks ago was booked for me and I was not expecting to be impressed or even enjoy the two nights I would be staying here again, after all these years. I was totally,... more

Good location- close by the Grand Central Station. Rooms are a bit run down, but the bedding was comfortable and shower was nice. Construction or something seemed to be close by and it was noisy during the night. Old door thin and didn't seal at the bottom, so noises in the hallway could be heard easier. Front reception people nice.... more

My friends and I were looking for a reasonable and decent room and we found it. The hotel quality was very nice, and the staff was extremely helpful. It wasn't super fancy, but it did have windows that opened, nice toiletries, and a clean atmosphere. I had a much more enjoyable experience than I did at the W Tuscany the... more
