I've stayed here a lot in past 2 years. It's secluded from hustle and bustle but close to tunnel and walking distance to Grand Central etc. It's a legacy 20s era hotel so rooms are small and have a legacy feel. They updated the bar and eating area recently. They did a nice job and it's very modern and spacious.... More

Jose, the manager, was extremely accommodating and went out of his way to help me when the dates of my trip changed due to a medical situation. Thank you Jose! Jose, the doorman, is amazing. Always there to help me (I'm on a cane), friendly, personable and effective. During the snowstorm last week, he chased a taxi down in 6... More

I stayed one night in Hilton East for business. I booked late same day on expedia, so the rate was very reasonable. I think they had a sale going on. This is not a bad option if you can get in for a low price and don't plan on staying long, but it could be uncomfortable for longer visits. Pros:... More

Dear Ai337799, I would like to thank you for sending in your feedback of our property. Granted we do have an older property it does seem as if your room did have some issues that we would have to look into. Not all of our rooms have temperature issues and we will be sure to look into them. We do... More

Recently stayed for business travel and was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. Tucked just a few blocks from grand central this hilton is centrally located but away from the chaos. Front desk staff were very pleasant and put me into the nicest room available. Rooms on both of my recent stays were very spacious. I was shocked and excited on... More

We had a great stay! No problems at all- everything was as it should be. Beds were super comfy, everything was clean, staff was kind. Great location- just a few minutes to Grand Central, shopping, there is a CVS close by in case you forgot or need anything. We walked to Times Square, Central Park, Madison Square Garden from here.... More

This is a small Hilton hotel and a little less standardized than most. It is conveniently located in its neighbourhood, very reasonably priced and quite comfortable. Our room faced a tiny courtyard, but was correspondingly quiet. A good breakfast is served, but there is no restaurant. Service is friendly, but there is a clear tendency to forget renewal of equipment... More

Everything was wonderful. Starting from check-in, the staff was quite friendly which left us a great impression. The room was not spacious but big enough and made us feel comfortable. In addition, this hotel is located nearby Grand Central, which is great for tourists to explore the city. The hotel was perfect to relax in after a long day of... More

I was scheduled to stay at this property for 4 nights with my daughter. I had stayed at this location several years ago and remember it as being well maintained. When checking-in, there was a pipe leak in the lobby; ceiling dripping water from above... not a big deal - seemed to be handled by staff. The first night, our... More

Dear R S, I first want to apologize for the extremely poor experience you had at the Hilton Manhattan East. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
