This is a typical staying place for a cramped city like New York . The room 814 that I am in at present is a clean & comfortable room but a small one... cramped for space. Do not raise the window blinds ! You will be greeted by the smiling drain pipes . No view from the room ! Small... More

Hotel was very accessible to Times Square and Rockefeller Center areas as it sits almost due East mid-way between them. About a 15-20 Minute walk puts you there. Good value for a New York City stay. Other areas would cost you at least $100-$200 more. This is a relatively small Hotel which is an older renovated building, but the rooms... More

Visited for Memorial Day weekend with my husband. Location was perfect- quieter area, close proximity to action, etc. Rooms are clean and a decent size. Great value. Service was attentive and Jose the Doorman was very helpful from the moment I checked in! Will definitely be back!!

The Hilton Manhattan East is very close to the UN. The property is lovely, the employees super friendly. Easy walk to several restaurants. A bit out of the main tourist traffic but if you are up for a walk, subway or taxi it is very easy. 15 minute walk to Time Square.

This hotel is situated not far from 5th avenue and grand central station. The hotel lobby area is lovely however the room we stayed in was tiny and was not up to normal hilton standard, however you don't spend much time in the hotel as there is so much to do in this fantastic city. Concierge and reception were friendly... More

Lovely, renovated, Tudor-style hotel, in good location, with friendly staff, good rooms, intimate atmosphere, balconies, and charm. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Grand Central and many other city central locations, and the UN, with quick access to the FDR for fast entry/exit from the city. Would definitely stay again.

My daughter and I stayed here May 8-10 for a mother's day shopping weekend trip. We had a small corner room on the 16th floor that was just perfect for us. The doormen and front desk associates were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed very comfy. The location of the hotel is extremely close... More

My fiancée and I spend 3 nights here. We spent very little time here and overall found it perfectly adequate. But because it bore the 'Hilton' name I have to say it was a little disappointing and below the standard I would expect for such a respected brand. The lobby and cafe/restaurant area is modern and pleasant. But upstairs in... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
