I stayed here for points from my Hilton Honor program and I can say I always stay at Hilton because I expect the quality of Hilton. I don't know it it was because the hotel was on the older side or because it was in the center of the major city but I can say the quality was sub par.... More

This hotel is located on intersection of 2nd avenue and 42nd street. 20 minutes walk to time square. 20 minutes walk to Macy store. Staffs are very helpful. Paid breakfast but good. Free Wi Fi. This is a old building and rooms are small compare to other hotels in America. Bathroom is also old style. No food or restaurant nearby.... More

This hotel is on the same street as times square, 42nd. Its about a 10-20 minute walk depending on your own pace. The hotel is clean and comfortable as you would expect from a hilton. The staff are friendly enough. The location is very good. Only downside is that in that area particularly there is a heavy police presence so... More

I may be one of the few people who hates NYC. It's dirty, smelly, and loud. Walking through the doors into the Hilton Manhattan East, that all melts away. This is an old hotel, with all of the expected kinks -- tiny elevators, tiny rooms, etc. Nice and quiet once the curtains came down, surprisingly. Good water pressure in the... More

stayed for 3 nights in July - happened to coincide with a presidential visit! But he didn't bother us too much! Staff were very good and helpful. A great location if you wish to be away from the hustle and bustle, but still within walking distance. Rooms could do with a little updating, but were clean and well equipped.

And yet very close to all NYC attractions. Hilton quality is expected, but what i liked best about this NYC location, was its very reasonable price. Walking distance from nice restaurants, good family breakfast places, and the UN complex. I generally stay close to Times Square, but this hotel is located in a much quieter area of town, and much... We stayed for 4 nights 5 days in may. great location just two blocks from grand central terminal. Staff were friendly and room was large. we ate breakfast at a local 24 hour cafe/supermarket. excellent range of cooked food, fruit and takeaways, drinks. It set us up for the day. Also convenient if you catch the shuttle from airport to... More

I wanted to be away from Time Square on this visit and Hilton Manhattan East was perfect. Less than 10 minutes walk to Grand Central Station and within 20 minutes walk you would be in the heart of times square. Plenty of bars, shops, restaurants just steps away. It was my partners birthday and the hotel upgraded us to a... More

Really enjoyed this small sized Hilton. All the staffs are very friendly to make sure the guest happy. It is hard to receive this type of service in Giant Hotel. It was great experience for me in NYC.

The Hilton Manhattan East has been our NYC go-to home away from home for many, many years. Even going back to the days when it was still the Tudor Hotel. We like the boutique hotel atmosphere and the rooms. Dennis the doorman is an especially nice and very friendly guy and very helpful. Dennis has been there for many years... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
