The location on 50th street is one of the best things this hotel has to offer. It is convenient to much on foot and close to the subway. The room was adequate and a good size by New York standards. The primary reason it is not rated higher was the service. There were four of us in the room and... More

Stayed here 4 nights with my husband and two teenage children. Spacious suite with a kitchenette. Well placed for visiting all New York has to offer. We were able to walk everywhere and collapse into the extremely comfortable beds at the end of our busy days. We arrived late and the night receptionist was a bit grumpy but I don't... More

NY friends gave a comp room here for two nights. Lucky us!!! This is luxury and the staff reflected excellent service consistently All of them were friendly and professional. The aquarium in the lobby area is wonderful and we stopped several times to enjoy it. Our suite had a small balcony, which was great to see the skyline and check... More

We had a good size family room at the back of the hotel on the 14th floor. Handy location for site seeing. For a drink try the roof top bar which has great views. Paying for wifi in the room is a bit dated and not well received by two teenagers!

After much deliberation, my daughter and I decided to stay here for our five night stay at the beginning of August, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. It was our first trip to NYC, and the location worked out wonderfully. We were within walking distance of everything we wanted to get to (or a subway to get us... More

The Kimberley is a bit of a hit and miss really. It has a great location, next to the Waldorf Astoria and other major hotel names, 15 minutes walk to Central Park, 10 minutes walk to Radio City, Rockerfella Cantre and Times Square and is around the corner from Lexington Avenue. The suites are huge for Manhattan standards. We were... More

I stayed at The Kimberly for two nights recently. I had a corner guestroom with one of the biggest bathrooms I have seen, with a large Jacuzzi tub as well a large shower stall, all in marble. The room was very generously sized, particularly for NY, and had a small balcony with a cafe table and two chairs. The service... More

Dont eat anything out of the room. Gummy worms, peanuts, or water in the fridge they will rip you off. What a game they play in New York. Its ridiculous how they rip off theyre visitors. If you can go to the Bronx and get a room its much cheaper and reasonable than Manhattan.

We recently stayed at the Kimberly while meeting family for a few days in NYC. Our son had booked the hotel based on reviews and price. I personally thought it was all that we could have asked for. We had a king sized bed, and a separate living room. The location was perfect and the lobby staff were always friendly... More

My mom and I recently stayed at The Kimberly. Overall, it is a lovely hotel in a prime location. We booked our room through a third party travel site, so I knew very little about the property prior to our stay. Check in was smooth. Our room wasn't ready upon arrival, so we went down the block for lunch and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Kimberly is a traditionally styled, boutique suite hotel located between 3rd & Lexington Avenues. With 30 rooms ranging from 266 to 372 sq ft and 158 suites, ranging from 460 to 935 sq ft., we offer personalized service from a warm and caring staff. Most of our suites have balconies, a rarity in NYC and many offer views of the city. Our mattresses are covered with feather beds and decked with Frette linens, which earn comments such as "I didn't want to get up" from our guests. A bonus here, is that in addition to our on-site fitness center, work-out enthusiasts can use any of the NY Heatlth and Racquet Club's 9 locations, including pools and work-out classes at no additional cost and can enjoy a cruise for three hours on their 75 ft yacht (in season) for a fee of $25 which includes a light buffet supper. ... more   less
