The Kimberly has beautiful rooms with views, updated kitchens and bars along with a separate bedroom. The staff are terrific and do everything imaginable to make your stay relaxing and pleasant. Don't miss the rooftop bar.

I love staying at the Kimberly. Their two bedroom suites have a view of the Chrysler Building and spacious balconies. The furniture and beds are extremely comfortable and they have down pillows for those of us who are fussy! The service is to die for, everyone is so kind and helpful. We used to stay at the Surrey until it... More

I had a working stint in NYC from Sep 13-Jan 14 and there weren't many hotels that would offer studio room set up where simple meals could be prepared. The Kimberly was one of them. Throughout my stay, I made friends with the ever friendly doormen, receptionists and chambermaids who treated me like a family, often asking if I had... More

The hotel was somewhat of a pleasant surprise, as we are used to getting much smaller rooms (a room, not a suite) and often very shabby accommodations for the kind of prices that the Kimberly charges. So we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the suite and (for New York) the relative amount of floor space and the overall... More

My husband and I stayed at The Kimberly in a 2 bedroom suite with our 3 small children. This is a really wonderful hotel for a family or large group with one pretty big drawback. The heating/ac unit is literally from another century. It's one of those units built in under the window that lets you pick from Off, Low... More

The shabbiness if my room and the hallway. I paid $530 for a junior suite. The carpet was filthy and the room felt dingy. This is my fifth and last time staying at The Kimberly. There was a time when I recommended this hotel to friends but now it's dank and dirty and definitely not worth nearly the rate. The... More

There is nothing really wrong with this hotel, its just average, although it is in a good position. My first room was at the front of the hotel on about the 12th floor. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact floor but it was a "B" room. The room itself was large - very large lounge with kitchen area, 3 closets,... More

Let's begin with the exceptional: I accidentally left an item in my room and called thinking my chance of recovery was slim to none: alas, housekeeping had it and sent it to me. Thank you! Now, the not so good: I left the item because I was in a panic to make my flight when the room alarm didn't sound... More

The best thing about this hotel is the location, it's great for seeing all the sights of New York. The hotel is nice, not keen on the reception area, but that's just personal taste. Our room was beautiful but had limited wardrobe space. The air con was loud but not a showstopper. There is a fabulous roof top bar with... More

Wonderful gem of a hotel located in a prime location in NYC. Close to Park Avenue, subway. Beautifully spacious appointed rooms, friendly staff, nice lobby. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay special. My husband and I have stayed here year after year. It is our favorite hotel in NYC. Rooms are larger than most NYC hotel... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
