Great hotel in a very convenient midtown location. Suites are very spacious, clean and well appointed. Beautiful lobby with a very attentive staff. Had a great night's sleep with typical noise level for Manhattan. Excellent bang for the buck!

I stay at The Kimberly 3-4 times per year. The hotel and location are fantastic. You can walk to the Theater district and Times square. I do love walking in NYC. The rooms are huge, well appointed however the staff are what makes the hotel hit on all cylinders. I hope I do not miss anyone, Peter the Concierge just... More

There was a mix up with my reservation and I was not listed in their computer when I arrived. I waited patiently but was irritated because it was the booking sites fault for not sending my info in even though I was charged. Zanny and Kurt of the front desk staff hooked it up beyond expectations for the unexpected delay.... More

The location of this hotel was excellent, it was a 15min walk north to Central Park, 15min walk south west to Times Square which was nice because you actually are able to get away from all the madness. The staff were hit and miss, some friendlier than others, but over all helpful. The 1 bedroom apartment was lovely, had everything... More

Dated hotel with a run-down elegance. The rooms are very large with separate sitting & sleeping areas and the beds very comfortable. However the rooms are not sound proofed and several of the lights, power points and phone did not work. The rooms needed a thorough clean and the mini bar was pitiful and was not restocked in the 6... More

We were delightfully surprised at the elegance and size of the spacious suite. The furnishings were beautiful with inlaid wood and brass accents, yet very comfortable. The location was ideal: just a short cab ride to the theater, and there is an on-site restaurant (Bistango) with an extensive gluten-free menu. The hotel staff provided excellent service at every step. It... More

I just arrived into NYC after a 5 hour cross-country flight and was told at the front desk that they have an "oversold situation" and there is no room for me. They offered to send me across the street to the San Carlos hotel and to have me move back tomorrow night. This means I will have to schlep my... More

I guess I do have a high standard when it comes to hotels and often times I am disappointed by older 'elegant' properties. I was forced to stay here 1 night as NYC was overbooked on this night. The room was nice, kinda elegant for old people. Though with old people in mind in certain my parents would have broken... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are disappointed you did not find the style you were looking for at our property. We are indeed a very traditionally styled hotel, but do suit the needs of many younger travelers who like that style as well. Although our executive guestrooms have a huge tub, they... More

The staff was very personable, efficient and generous. We were given a free upgrade to a large suite...very comfortable room and bed. The upstairs penthouse open air bar overlooks Chrysler, Waldorf Astoria and GE Buildings. Awesome views. The buffet breakfast served in Penthouse bar had about everything: pancakes, french toast, eggs to order, etc. Really like this hotel in NYC.... More

Hi, We heard about The Kimberly via a site recommending less widely known hotels. I got in touch with Janet (in reservations) asking her a lot of questions so I could get the most suitable room for our honeymoon. She was very patient, helpful and we weren't disappointed with our choice. The suite was large, had some nice views, lovely... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
