Every contact we had with staff was positive! Nice and helpful! The lobby is aged elegance and while our bathroom was small, our room was surprisingly large! Nice television, everything very clean, and even a view of the Empire State building out our window! Muffins and coffee in the morning was just another plus! Will go here again!

A good clean basic hotel, great lobby area very ornate but basic rooms without tea or coffee facilities however the hotel supplied coffee and various muffins in the comfortable area every morning for all guests. the staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times and the hotel is in a great area to explore the city if you are... A very plain hotel with no amenities. No kettle or coffee machine. A very small bathtub. Which would have been nice after a long day walking around the city. It is in a nice area and felt safe at all times.

Stayed at The Wolcott from the 21st till the 26th of April as a family of 3 adults. It's a neat, clean functional hotel, one block from the Empire State Building. Very convenient location to walk around midtown.Times Square & Broadway are very accessible by walk. Lots of place to eat close by, Bread&Butter was nice a nice deli real... More

We were incredibly satisfied with our stay. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the Empire State Building and is a few minutes more from a lot of other popular attractions. Numerous subway lines can be reached within a few minutes' walk and cabs are readily available. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. Plenty of space (rare in NYC)... More

Great location in the heart of Manhattan. You don't need to take a cab or the subway to go anywhere. Very comfortable room. I had a junior suite with 2 beds, 2 TV's, and a huge bathroom. Helpful staff, breakfast was ok (the coffee was a little to American for me, but that's because in France we only drink expresso,... More

We stayed for 4 nights in March, our first visit to Manhattan and the hotel was perfect for us, it is in a great location in Midtown, each to travel around Manhattan (only 1 block away from Empire State Building) The hotel is turn of the century with a lovely ornate lobby, but although older our room was very clean.... My boyfriend and I stayed at the Wolcott Hotel for 6 days in March 2015. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were more than happy to give us information or directions if we needed. The coffee and muffins or a morning were really nice and offered a good start to our very busy days. The rooms were very... More

The Nordic Nannies (A group of six women from Arnprior who walk with Nordic poles and do aquafit together) decided to Take Manhattan! I was so fortunate to find this amazing, vintage hotel. Yes, vintage means older. It also means charming. We were pleasantly surprised to find it is also very clean, our rooms were spacious (not common in NYC)... More

My sister and I recently stayed at the Wolcott and we enjoyed it very much. From the hotel, we walked to Central Park in one direction and Battery Park in the other. Returning to our hotel each night we saw the Empire State Building lit up in all its beautiful colours. The staff was helpful especially the lovely girl on... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
