Couldn't have been happier with The Wolcott. Initially they granted my request for a room on the top floor facing The Empire State Building and it was an absolute dream. The room was spacious and clean and the staff were very helpful, even ringing the lost property office for us at Madison Square Garden to locate a lost phone. The morning... More

I will just refer you to the review by gunnersaurusrex, because he said everything I would say. I went with a group of 5 friends, so we got a double room and a triple room. The triple room was more "streetside," and noisier - while the double room was facing other buildings on three sides and was very quiet. I've... More

We stay at the Wolcott Hotel whenever we go to NYC because of the price and location. I love the vintage charm of this hotel. The service is especially great in that they allowed us to keep our luggage there for the day even after our stay.

The Wolcott Hotel is conveniently located on 31st Street near Broadway. The hotel is close to subways but the location makes walking an easy alternative. Continental breakfast is served in the lobby. It is one of the few hotels with triple rooms offering three twin beds in two small rooms. Each room had a large TV. The cost is significantly... More

I stayed in the Wolcott for 5 nights from 10-15 December. There were three of us travelling, so to keep costs down, we stayed in a triple room. The hotel is in a fantastic central location on East 31st , just a 5 minute walk from Macys, the Empire State Building, and 10 minutes from the Flat Iron District and... More

Stayed here for one night in December to enjoy the Christmas buzz of the city! It was easy to walk to Times Square, Bryant Park, Central Park, MOMA, theater district, and the beautiful tree at Rockefeller Center! Great stay for the weekend in NYC!

Great location for sightseeing! Two blocks from the Empire State Building and half a block off 5th Avenue. Affordable rates especially for a holiday weekend. Would consider another stay on our next trip into the Big Apple.

we stayed here for a few nights in December and wasn't disappointed the hotel is old but that adds to the character of the place.the room we had on the 11th floor was spacious and warm with plenty of hot water, the bed was comfy and that all we could ask for after long days out sightseeing, the location of the hotel... Great location, within walking distance to Penn Station, clean, quiet with nice staff. I only stayed for one night, but would definetely stay again and for longer. Got a great rate through Priceline midweek and was very pleased.

Lovely hotel. Initially we were given a smoking room by as soon as we requested a non smoking one we were facilitated. The hotel is close to the many of the main attractions/ Staff are very helpful and easy to deal with - always smiling. The muffins and coffee available very morning were delicious.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
