We spent 3 nights at the Wolcott late June 2015. The hotel is in a brilliant location - a short walk to Times Square, and surrounded by great bars and restaurants. The hotel is clean, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. We loved being in the heart of the city, and whilst most would find the ubiquitous emergency services sirens... More

Hotel Wolcott continues to amaze me. This isn't a big hotel, but it's clean and the location cannot be beat. Beds are super comfortable; rooms are spacious ( especially the triples) and the staff bends over backwards to accommodate one's every wish. Have stayed here 3 times in the last six months and will continue to choose this hotel for... More

I enjoyed a two night stay at the Wolcott Hotel on June 9th and 10th 2015. The room was clean, comfortable, and just a quick 20 minute walk to my event. Also perfectly located for strolls around midtown, Herald Square, and up to the theater district. If I had better suited luggage I could have walked back to Grand Central.... More

This hotel is perfect if just need a very central place to sleep. It is very central and walking distance to everything. Dont worry that there is no breakfast because there are several options to choose from including a 24-hour deli just 30 seconds away. The hotel's overall condition is good. I stayed in 1219 and couldn't find anything worth... More

Hotel has a great location (few blocks walk from times square), and got plenty of interest points around it. Staff is friendly and polite, rooms are clean, but it definitely needs a remodel. The way it is, looks like a hotel from the middle 60's. Besides that, everything is good. Not a luxurious hotel, but definitely worth the price!

I found the accommodations more than adequate and the service was very good. Spacious room. Continental breakfast included. Would definitely recommend for bargain conscious customers. Tub showed some wear as did some lobby furniture but otherwise a bargain.

Ok, so you have to pay for the wifi. Nowadays that is a small minus but we could live with it. You have several restaurants close by where you can get free wifi and if it is that important to you then I guess 10 $ a day isn't that bad (it's even cheaper if you buy it as a... More

We booked a very affordable room with two twin beds, last minute, and were given a completely adorable and comfortable room with three twins, one of them in a side room, a sort of little suite, facing 31st Street. The ceilings are high, with ornate 19th century molding, and blue-green toile wallpaper. We even like the tiny tiled bathroom with... More

Stayed here with a school group from Scotland in mid June. The hotel is excellent value for money. The location is so central, Empire State Building is literally just a couple of blocks around the corner, with Macy's & Herald square just a few blocks away too. Easily walkable to Times Sq, Rockefeller Centre, St Pats Cathedral and although 20+... More

Very friendly and helpfull staff. The rooms are big and clean. The housekeeping cleaned everyday and replaced all the used towels everyday as well. The beds slept perfectly and no noises were heard during the night. It's a peacefull and quite hotel. The location is perfect! Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
