This hotel was chosen due to the fact that they had 3 separate beds available. I was skeptical of the size of the room since it's NYC but was very surprised at how large the room was. We stayed in room 1010 and it had 3 twin beds - it was weird walking into the room and walking literally into... More

Stayed here for 6days whilst visiting NYC, Couldn't complain with the hotel at all. Staff were friendly and approachable, Room was clean and well maintained. A concierge is on hand in reception if you wanted to bus tours or buy show tickets which is handy. The breakfast is only muffins with tea or coffee but they are tasty muffins! Located... More

This hotel is located a short walk from Penn Station and is well situated for touring Manhattan. It is an older, classic property with a lovely lobby and spacious rooms. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean and tidy. Best of all, the rate at this hotel is half what the national chains are in the same area.... More

This hotel is located really nicely within about 5 minutes walk of the Empire State Building and near various subway options. It was clean and comfortable. Muffins + tea/coffee was served in the morning which was all we needed for breakfast. Staff were helpful when we had to check out early to get our flight. For what we paid we... More

Stayed here for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was a good size by New York standards. The beds were small but very comfortable. The location was was great and only a couple blocks from Penn Station. I have been to New York many many times and have stayed in Hotels costing 2-3x what we paid... More

Needed a one-night stay at a reasonably low (for NYC) price and found this old-fashioned gem. My "economy" room wasn't as awful as I thought it would be for under $200. Usually, this type of room is either very close to the ice machine or adjoining the elevators. Well, this was right next to the elevator, but you'd never know... More

Located in the hart of NY one block south of the Empire State Building and less than a ten minute walk to Time Square. It's an older hotel and shows it but the location and reasonable price makes it an excellent choice for a NY site seeing base. Small rooms, but that's normal for NY, nice size bathroom, amazing foyer,... More

Every contact we had with staff was positive! Nice and helpful! The lobby is aged elegance and while our bathroom was small, our room was surprisingly large! Nice television, everything very clean, and even a view of the Empire State building out our window! Muffins and coffee in the morning was just another plus! Will go here again!

A very plain hotel with no amenities. No kettle or coffee machine. A very small bathtub. Which would have been nice after a long day walking around the city. It is in a nice area and felt safe at all times.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
