I have stayed twice at Wolcott. I returned because of and to find the same pleasures. History. Elegant lobby with top notch, friendly staff. Superbly clean and comfortable rooms. The twin beds are a delight for the two of us traveling together to enjoy theater. Convenient to Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station, midtown, and subways north and south on... More

Hotel is old gas the historical feel. They have kept it all original I loved the lobby and it's architectural structure. Room was for three people, which came with three single beds and 2 tvs, one bed and tv was right when you walked in the door. The bathroom was a bit small and they have extra bathrooms with full... This hotel is old fashioned in the best way. It's unpretentious, clean, in a great part of town and extremely good value for money. Helpful and friendly staff, very clean room which was surprisingly large. Remarkably quiet considering where it is. The wifi isn't cheap BUT find free wifi in a nearby coffee shop!. I stayed 3 nights for work... More

Immaculate room! Beautiful place, very well kept, very friendly staff. Shower water was perfect contrary to other reviews, great water pressure. Only complaint was skim milk for coffee in the am. I need my half and half. Will definitely stay here again!

I cannot say enough about the Wolcott Hotel...grandeur, extreme cleanliness, helpful desk managers, wonderful breakfast coffee and fresh varied flavor muffins each morning! I traveled to NYC with my 2 daughters and had booked a 3 triple bed room...astonishingly the room was spacious with an immaculate bathroom and desk area..large closet, hair dryer, ironing board and iron...so many wonderful amenities.... my friend and I stayed here for 4 nights for my birthday and we are so glad we did! Fab staff fab service and they honoured our requests via email before we arrived. We stayed in room 1220 and it had the most perfect view of the Empire State Building! Room was immaculately clean and nice and cosy. Fab walk... More

we stayed during the New Years period of 2014/2015. Upon landing in NYC the airline misplaced my luggage. When we arrived at the hotel we informed staff we were expecting our bags to be delivered that night. As soon as we woke the following morning one of our two pieces of luggage had arrived. The staff took it upon themselves... More

The Wolcott Hotel is an old-fashioned hotel with pluses and minuses. Pluses include its location- a short walk to Penn Station, Times, Square, etc. Also, the rooms are relatively large for NYC. The staff seemed helpful if not always the friendliest. We were in a room at back of hotel and it was quiet. Muffins and coffee were provided free... More

We just stayed 2 nights at Wolcott Hotel for family holiday. Really appreciate this hotel for its cleanliness and spacious room that we hardly find at others hotels in the heart of Big Apple. The staff was helpful. We really love the European decor style of Wolcott Hotel, it looks like we are staying in Rome or Venezia. No available... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
