In the best possible location for the usual go to places, in walking distance of Empire State Building, Times Square and other main attractions. The hotel is a five minute walk away from Penn Station so you have easy access to the rest of the city. Rooms were spacious but the bathroom was a bit on the small side and... More

The location of Wolcott Hotel is superb, near Empire State Building, Times Square, Rockefeller, several tube stations and shops/bars/restaurants. The room looked a bit dated and our view was of a wall... But we didn't mind too much because we wanted to be out enjoying the city. Staff were excellent.

My stay was absolutely comfortable at the Wolcott Hotel. The hotel's location is central to many of New York's must-sees! It also was not a long walk from the Amtrak station (Penn Station). The room's location (3rd floor) was quiet enough for a great night's sleep each night. The beds and linens were fresh and comfortable each day. Housekeeping did... More

While it isn't the most luxurious of Hotels, it I adequate and good Value for money. The Lobby is very 1930s in a elegant way, and the Staff are quite Helpful, and the use of the computer to print your boarding passes is very useful. But for me the Best feature is the Location, in a fairly quiet street but... More

We picked this one because it was in our price range and centrally located. Perfect for our needs. It was clean, neat, rooms were large, and they have muffins and coffee every morning. I would stay there again. Quaint

Stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. It's an old hotel which has retained its old decor- they lobby especially. They have a laundry with numerous washers and driers which you can do yourself- very handy. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and decently sized although bathrooms a bit small. Great location- a few blocks away from Empire State... More

A 2 week stay this year vs. 5 days last year. Excellent value. Almost too many "pros" to list - location - right off 5th Ave - if you like to walk, an easy trip uptown OR downtown - near Penn Station and subways/ room - we had standard queen ensuite - very nice bathroom - comfortable bed and pillows... July 2nd 2015, We took the train to NYC and the hotel is close enough to walk to Penn Staition and Times Square. The room was clean and the stay was easy. Although the building is rather old, the room was great, it actualy has historic charm.

My wife and I were spending the 4th of July weekend threre and the experience was very good. Clean bedrooms, great location and very good price. We decided to try this hotel this time because the location is quieter than Time Square and your are near everywhere. Probably, the next time we go there probably we'll repeat it.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
