Hello travelers, The hotel has been in existence for over 100 years. I would recommend this hotel for their value, convenience, and staff friendliness, not for its decor. I have stayed there numerous times and have always found staff to be most accommodating.

My mum and I stayed here as part of my surprise trip to NYC. It was a great hotel. I can't explain how good the location is! It was perfect for us as we were there to sight see and shop. We didn't want the hassle of going for breakfast, we simply wanted to get up and go. The room... More

I must say that I was very happy last week at the Wolcott Hotel. I was there for four days by myself and felt safe, comfortable and at home from start to finish. The staff were kind, friendly and most obliging. Any little problem I had, (e.g. regulating the heat in my room,) was attended to within five minutes max.... More

I stayed at the Hotel Wolcott for three days and found room to be adequate for the price, clean and well maintained. The only issue I had was the room was uncomfortably hot and dry - to the point that I was filling my ice bucket just for the moisture. There wasn't any controls to lower the heat, so I... More

Stayed here for one night for quick friends gathering. Found it on google map and booked directly...it was good choice! 24h grocery store with deli is about 3 min away. Room was big enough for the area & price. Breakfast was simple, coffee, tea, muffins, but very enough for me. Hotel staff was so kind. I had to fly out... More

A basic but kinda cutesy hotel. If you are thinking backpackers but your budget can stretch to this then it is definitely worthwhile and as other reviewers have said, in a great location. Kinda tired and dingy in the lobby but with a certain charm.

A lovely old hotel in a very convenient part of town. Good quality carpets, furnishings and fixtures and fittings throughout. The free tea, coffee and muffins in the morning is a nice touch. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The ceiling in the lobby is stunning. Highly recommended.

This hotel was fantastic :) the lobby is from a lost era and is just fantastic, I chose this hotel because it's old and I'm a bit of a history buff.. Rooms, small but lovely, staff were all great, location perfect, muffins and coffee every morning fabulous! If you want free wifi, Starbucks is just around the corner, we were... More

In spite of the fact the pipes froze and we had no water in the am to shower, flush toilets etc I gave the hotel 4 stars. The rooms are small but clean and for the price good value. Nice staff gave... us a discount for the inconvenience. It was during the coldest spell in NYC so it was no... More

This Hotel is perfectly placed in Mid Town with only a short walk to the Empire State Building so it's location is everything. The rooms are small, but big on style. The lobby is very old world and oozes charm and sophistication from another era which I absolutely loved. The coin operated washing machines in the basement got a good... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
