We stayed in the Wolcott Hotel in July 2014. We had a queen room with private bath for about 180 euro/night. Since we planned our holidays pretty late, this was as cheap as it got in NYC. The hotel was safe (safety deposit box in your room), located conveniently and the lobby is just amazing. The breakfast was very small... More

Service from staff throughout my entire stay was good. I was a solo traveller who had booked a twin share room. The twin share room was more than large enough for 2 people, let alone 1. You could probably fit 2 double beds in there and have a family in that room. I was in a corner room next door... More

This hotel is so unexpected. From the lobby which is baroque and fussy to the rooms which are spacious, newly decorated and comfortable, there are surprises within this hotel. The staff are very helpful and kind, not always the norm for New York City, and the muffins and coffee are delightful in the lobby every morning. The only drawback is... More

On a recent mission in an attempt to persuade the rebellious colonies to recant and to rejoin the British Empire, we needed a place to stay in New York for four nights. As trinkets are no longer acceptable in payment, we were compelled to pay with their 'dollars'. We needed a room which would sleep three heterosexual men who are... More

As other reviewers have said the staff in this hotel are excellent - friendly and efficient (which can be rare in NYC). The location just off 5th Ave and round the corner from Macy's and the ESB is fantastic and the value is excellent. It's in a safe area and it's a safe hotel. The hotel is about 110 years... More

We got a great deal for this hotel on wowcher. On first arrival we were greeted by a grand lobby with intricate architecture. The staff were always very friendly and polite and willing to help. The room was comfortable and clean, with plenty of spare bedding and pillows provided. It perhaps was in need of a little renovation, as there... More

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the Wolcott hotel in NYC. For the money I spent the hotel is up to standards as far as clean, staff helpful, great location. The hotel is a great central place for hitting the streets of NYC. We only needed the room to lay our heads down at night a store our bags... More

Nice Hotel but didn't like them asking for ID cards from all adults. Usually the Hotel staff will just need the person who reserved the room information. Plus the employee at the front desk wasn't very friendly to us.

My friend and I just returned from a week spent in this hotel, it was our first time in Manhattan and although we usually opt for luxury 4 star minimum hotels we read some lovely review of this place so decided to chance it. I'll start with the positive: The lobby is beautiful, I'm a big heritage fan and love... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
