We stay for a whole week here. Amazing experience and great location! Opposite the Food Court at the Plaza, near the subway and Central Park. A few blocks away Times Square and Broadway... As for the room, it was incredibly comfortable, excellent Bulgari toiletries, microwave oven and fridge...I will definitely return to AKA Central Park!

I had a business trip to NYC for a full week visiting my clients and it was a great opportunity for my wife and older son to visit NYC for the first time. The hotel is located on the south side of Central Park and with a very easy walking distance you can go anywhere at Midtown. The metro is... More

Several members of my family stayed at this location due to its proximity to family that live in NYC for the holidays. We all had the extended stay rooms with kitchenette and plenty of space! The rooms are well-appointed, immaculately clean, with a lot of dresser and closet space available. The appliances in the kitchenette are in excellent condition and... More

Our family recently stayed at AKA Apartments Central Park over Christmas. We had a total of three separate apartments, my girlfriend and myself stayed on level 14, as did my brother in a separate apartment, and parents stayed in a larger apartment on level 15. Despite some construction noise from a development next door, which didn't really affect my girlfriend... More

This has become my home from home when working in Manhattan. For me, it's perfect. The location is on the south side of Central Park, so easy walking distance to many places, but quieter than most. The F subway line is a block away and the 4 & 5 about four blocks. There is a grocery store ( or what... More

We commonly stay in midtown when visiting NYC for theater and opera. The cafe/small restaurant at the AKA hotel on W 58th street is a lovely stop for a simple well done breakfast or lunch - nicely priced small menu.

Anyone who has ever tried to book a hotel for longer than a week in Manhattan knows what i'm talking about: in the immense choice of average hotels in town, you can spend months searching for a decent room that doesn't cost a fortune. Good luck! You're either forced to live in a room as big as a dog's crate,... More

We had a pleasant stay for one week. The location is just a stroll away from the SE corner of Central Park and 5th Ave. The fact that the rooms are serviced only once a week and that one needs to call housekeeping to have their trash removed are a bit inconvenient. The structure could do with a bit more... More

Hands down the best staff I've ever dealt with, nothing was too much trouble and anything we needed was done without hesitation. We left feeling like we knew everyone of them as we were always greeted with a smile not the usual head down response that come with most hotels. Goes without saying the location was great but the staff... More

We really enjoyed a full week here with incredibly courteous staff, but a truly great location. We did not have a view, but were only one very short block from Central Park & had a subway just around the corner. This took us to Times Square in only one or two stops...just for starters! The room was spacious & spotless,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
