Super staff, nothing was too much trouble. Good sized rooms, with the added bonus of kitchen area. We loved the idea of a private cinema in the evening, we had it to ourselves on both occasions we used it. To sum up, nice people plus nice place equals nice time! Patrick

Tried AKA after reading strong reviews and the experience has been very positive. The location is convenient, within walking distance to most major sites. It is a residence style hotel with large rooms, the one bed room units are specially roomy. The price is slightly lower than the high end hotels in the same area, has all the essentials but... More

we stayed here for a week over Easter in a 14th floor premium one bedroom apartment. Better than anticipated. Good sized flat with well maintained, comfortable furniture and loads of storage space for our rubbish. A really cosy home from home, with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. And a proper wheel away bed for our son. The location is... More

Modern and chic, AKA Central Park is just the perfect choice in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. We absolutely loved our stay and enjoyed the amenities of a one Bedrooms Suite. High end kitchen appliances, modern bathrooms and tastefully decorated large rooms are really a treat for NYC standards. Highly recommend and looking forward the next stay there!

In the very heart of New York, a few steps from Central Park, this is what makes this hotel so unique. Rooms are large, for NY standards and one may choose from a studio up to a one bedroom suite. All equiped with refrigerador, microwave oven, and even a full stove (suítes only). Attendants are polite and helpful. A fully... More

Stayed at the AKA for 2 weeks as part of a NYC business trip. The location is excellent, central but on a quiet street. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Elvis at front desk was very helpful and in general staff were good. Maid service is only 2x a week but not really a problem. I had my shirts dry... More

Modern style and nice decor. Nice rooms with a mini kitchens which helps you out with preparing your own breakfast, if you like. But you prefer there’s an “attached” coffee house with good coffee and breakfast. Attentive and helpful staff. Very well located if that’s you area...Upper East ! Will go back.

Very nicely located in upper Midtown, one street away from NYC's Central Park, and nestled between 5th and 6th Avenue, a short walk to some of NYC's best shopping. Considering that Time Squares is at 42 and Broadway, the hotel is also at a short and pleasant 15-20 mn walking distance from all that Broadway and Times Square have to... More

We stayed at here for 10 days in July/Aug of 2014. Starting with the concierge, this hotel is impressive. Our room was roomy and had plenty of space for the accumulation of bags throughout our stay. The rooms are spotless. Housekeeping are excellent, it should be noted that housekeeping only service your room every three days. There is the option... More

We stayed at aka Central Park for 10 days in January, we spent a long time reading reviews of the nearby hotels and this seemed a good balance of price and location. The first thing to say is the location is brilliant, a 2 minute walk from Central Park in one direction and Times Square a 20 minute walk the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
