I stayed at The Roger 5 times. One was great, all others were problematic. First, this hotel is expensive and the rooms are small. European small. If you have a "regular" room you will have no view, and barely room to turn around, and a bath that is too small. There are 3 great rooms. They are on the top... More

Stayed at the Roger for a weekend. Everyone was very pleasant. The rooms were very comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable, you get a great nights sleep. The restaurant on the second floor has a great adult grilled cheese sandwich. Great location to get around the city.

Would recommend staying here. Staff were lovely and always helpful. The rooms were extremely clean though a little on the small side for a 4 person room but manageable. Location was good but unsure were the closest subway station is.

A reasonable hotel. PROS: - 10 mins walk from Grand Central, Empire State. 15 minutes from Times Square. Clean rooms. Door guys - very very helpful. Cons: Extortionately priced and incredibly bland/basic breakfast; forgetful staff - we asked for our bill to be ready for a 4 am check-out, it wasn't and I had to wait 10 minutes for someone... I was here in august for a 4 days break, the position is great, on madison avenue steps from the empire state. the room is confortable and quiet large but the furniture looks a little bit old or used. and at the entrance the hall doesn't exist, just a tiny little bar with some nice sofas. breakfast is good but... MY experience was poor, but I would rate the hotel as average in general. The first night we arrived our room was almost 80 degrees & very muggy- the A/C was broken, we asked to be moved to another room but they were completely sold out so they brought up a standing fan. The lady from housekeeping who brought up... More

So the location was great but the hotel itself is nothing special. It did what we needed ie provided us with a bed for the night. My travel agent suggested this hotel and I should really have researched it myself I guess. The bar was small and had little atmosphere and it was closed one night for a private party... More

The Roger hotel is located near the Flatiron district and was a great location for us. Madison Square Park, Union Square, Chelsea and Washington Square Park and the Village were all easy walks. The lobby of the Roger is beautiful and open with high ceilings and herringbone pattern wood floors. It is modern, clean and chic. We were given a... More

I loved everything about The Roger! You have upscale decor and service, but with the intimacy of a boutique hotel. The lobby is gorgeous, with beautiful little nooks for drinks, reading, and catching up. The rooms are modern, beautifully decorated, and the beds are beyond comfortable. The front desk staff and all service was fantastic, and the location is perfect... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
