The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The service was professional, warm and prompt all throughout our visit. And the ambience of the place is to live for!!! Will definitely be returning to the Jolly Roger in future visits to NYC!!

I should have made four days booking than just one night with a good deal with booking.com . Room is clean, staff are friendly and it is located near to the Madison Square. If I can extend with the same rate, I will. Unfortunately I can't because it's way too expensive for me.

The Roger was very welcoming , and well kept, a pleasant surprise for a New York hotel based on past experience . Our room was quiet despite the hotel being on a block corner, again a great plus for hotels in New York. Staff were very helpful, and made the stay a pleasure. The only negative for us was the... The entire staff is accomodating/helpful/friendly. The hotel is very pretty, well located. The room was nice, but I did find some hairs in the bathroom, and the robe in the bathroom was stained, so those details should be looked at for hygiene purposes; other that, I enjoyed my stay and will be returning.

I rarely review places with a "poor" review, and unfortunately I was really looking forward to my stay at the Roger. The decor and brand is stunning, I will give them that. I took many photos of the decorations and even uploaded to instagram. However, I expected more from an upscale boutique hotel. The service was definitely poor. Some of... More

Check-in was friendly and efficient. Rooms were spotless with comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. The rooms are small, but probably not for NYC standards. Staff are helpful and attentive. Nice lobby.

We stayed in this hotel for five nights and we were pleasently surprised by the room we had. It had views of the Empire State Building and to a fairly calm street (31st street), which meant we weren't disturbed by noise during the night ( maybe because the room was on the 11th floor). Either way, the beds were super... More

From the reservation team to the bellman it was so difficult to entertain the guests in a smooth manner. Starting from the reservation process - the lady that was supposed to be helping me sent me was the most unprofessional person i have dealt with in the hospitality industry. Upon booking there were two things we wanted - dates July... More

I have stayed here several times. The staff is exceptionally courteous. The rooms are very comfortable and spotless. The bathroom is a bit small but is exceptionally clean. I highly recommend. The management could not be nicer or more accommodating.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
