I stayed at The Roger for 3 nights 4 days. The Good: The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and the location pretty central. The Bad: 1 . Poor insulation between rooms, my next door neighbours liked watching Friends in the evening and I felt like I was in the room with them. 2. I can't speak for all... More

This is my second time staying in the roger, this time we stayed in a Premium room with corner view of Madison avenue. The bed was very comfortable. The Bathroom amenities were very good, it included a shoe mitt, CO Bigelow and company body wash and shampoo. The room smelled fresh. the staff was very friendly, their special made TEA... More

Visited with some friends, rooms are great size, comfortable bedding, very clean and modern room & bathroom as well. The location is what gives it the 5th star we were central to Manhattan which helped reduce our cab ride costs. Definitely recommend for anyone who likes to spend a little more on a comfortable room.

Despite its good looks, the hotel had unacceptable standards on soundproofing, maintenance, and front-desk personnel. Paid a high price for the hotel expecting some decent standards. While the hotel looks great, it was not a great stay. The basic staff was great (doorman, cleaning ladies, polite and friendly). But the front desk was very bad. Every time called the desk... More

We visited The Roger for a wedding in the summer. The location was great and was perfect walking distance from many of the places we needed to grab stuff prior to the wedding. It was also a quick walk away from Madison Square Garden which we went to a concert the night before the wedding. The room was super clean... More

I have stayed here for two days, and leaving today. It is a nice hotel, but I only give it an average review based on the following: Gym: on your booking confirmation you pay an additional fee for Internet and Gym access. The gym is tiny, and both days only one treadmill was working, and the air is horrific. Additionally,... More

$7 for bottle of water by the bed!!!! It should be free. Otherwise service good and place clean and well located. As a boutique hotel they could work more on creating an atmosphere and intimacy to give the lobby area more lively and engaging feels a bit cold.

I stayed at The Roger many times for work. I stayed at many other hotels in the area at this price point and The Roger is the best I found. It is updated, clean and the rooms are a bit larger than comparable hotels. The service is always outstanding as well. I highly recommend a stay at The Roger.

Recently, I stayed at The Roger in downtown NYC for a business meeting and pleasure. Its location is ideal for attending a meeting and going to a show at Broadway, a nice restaurant, nearby attractions, and with a good weather… for walking around. There were a few international families and couples staying there. Their bar at the lobby is nice... More

My wife and I spent ten nights at the Roger in June 2015. This was our fifth trip to NYC but our first stay at the Roger so we were very much weighing it up against the other hotels we’ve used in NY: The Roosevelt (three times) and 70 Park (once). So, the positives of staying at the Roger: Location.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
