Nice hotel, very convenient, nice terrace small rooms and bathrooms due to NYC! The breakfast is very good while the menu for dinner is not really large. Really nice to stay there whatever the season!

The room was a little rough around the edges in the cleaning department. The next morning when I went to the bathroom, I was greeted by a HUGE roach! Ahhh! I jumped on the toilet before trying to kill it, with no luck.

This is a chic hotel. The downstairs and mezzanine are stylish, though small, and the staff are very friendly. The bar food, although simple, was delicious. Wine Hour was a hit, with a free glass of wine every night. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Empire State Building. My only issue was the hotel was cold... More

The staff, especially the doorman, was so informative, warm and friendly that it immediately made you feel like you were at a top level hotel. The hotel and rooms were clean and tastefully decorated but unfortunately, the room was so uncomfortably hot that it was hard to sleep even after turning off the heat and putting the A/C on (in... If you don't mind a small bathroom (thanks NYC!), you'll like the Roger. Very conveniently located and very nice and helpful staff. Fun "happy hour", too, every evening at 5 PM! Easy access to midtown without the crowds.

Nice hotel, but the bed was a Murphy bed -- obviously that gives hotel management more options. Good for them, but it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Nice terrace and room fixtures though. Food choices at the bar/lounge were nice but not expansive, and staff were very courteous. Only two elevators, and one of them was down on Sunday... More

The Roger is a great boutique hotel in a wonderful location. I usually expect hotels to not look as great in person as in photos but was pleasantly surprised by the Roger. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely stay again.

The Roger is a lovely hotel, perfectly in keeping with the best of modern New York. The room had a king-sized bed and though the room was very small, it was beautifully appointed and interesting to be in. We had a window too. Bathroom was modern, exceptionally sparkly clean, and pretty. We didn't have time to use the bar downstairs... More

The Roger was a nice, boutique hotel conveniently located to work on Madison Ave in NYC. It was well presented with a nice big bed and a good sized gym. The air conditioning was a bit stuffy and the drinks in the bar a bit pricey, but that's New York I guess. Appreciated the free drink The Roger provided.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
