Great location, right next to Empire State Building. The staff are very servicesminded. We stayed in 3 different rooms, as the room type we booked wasn't available. We stayed in a two bed room on 7th and 12th floor and a penthouse with terrace. The two bed rooms had an extremely tiny bathroom. In the penthouse the bathroom was a... More

This review is a bit overdue as our wonderful stay at the Roger was over the long Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend. I found the hotel through a boutique service and through that service was able to get a fantastic deal. We did end up with fees at the end, but having read reviews, I was expecting that -- even... Me and my family stayed from the ninth until the sixteenth of April in The Roger. The hotel had a nice atmosphere but the staff wasn't that friendly nor helpful. Most of the time the doorman wasn't there to open the door or welcome you after coming back from a day of visiting NYC. The people behind the lobby desk... More

Hello there, I am terribly sorry to hear about the inconveniences you face during your stay. I am especially disappointed to hear that you did not find out staff friendly and helpful. Our service is something that we really pride ourselves on and learning about your experience is certainly alarming. This is not how we generally treat our guests. We'd... More

This well located boutique hotel is clean and has a nice design . The rooms are small as most NY hotels but the nice decoration makes it comfortable and pleasant . The breakfast buffet was decent although limited in terms of choice . One morning just before 9 am there was not much left on the buffet and they didn't... More

A lot of my colleagues stay here and have been saying great things. It has lots of good points, very friendly staff, modern airy lobby, great location, good breakfast that starts at 6.30, which is always an advantage for us Europeans, waking up early. on the negative side, the rooms have very poor sound-proofing and the noise from the streets... This hotel is in a good location, nice and close to the attractions but not right on top of everything. The rooms are ok, nice comfortable beds but poorly fitting blinds with no curtains so the light streams in to wake you up. Maybe that was just our bad luck (staying in room 403) the bathroom is small but functional.... More

Hello and thank you for your review. I am glad to learn that you did have some positive experiences at The Roger but I do apologize for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. I stayed here for a meeting over a 3 day weekend. It is Not in times Square and away from all of the madness. The room I got was a tad small but definitely had that boutique feel that most people appreciate. Clean, modern and overall attractive rooms. The hotel is close to the Subway with easy access to the... More

We stayed at The Roger several weeks ago and had a fabulous experience. The most memorable part was the staff. Within a day, they knew our names and greeted us by name upon arriving and leaving each day. They were unbelievably friendly. Made us want to come back! The wine hour at the end of the day was a treat,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
