Stayed in a Jr. Suite that slept four. The bed was comfortable, and the room had plenty of space. Good pullout sofa. Loved the feel of the room. Raffles the nearby coffee shop is really good for breakfast or lunch. Easy walk to Times Square, Bloomingdale's etc. Homey. Would stay there again.

I decided at the last minute to stay over night in the city for New Year's Eve. I don't know why I was surprised, but most of the hotels in the city were either sold-out or doubled their rates. While surfing the net I came across CheapTickets.Com. I was surprised at how inexpensive The Roger Smith hotel was, so I... More

We travelled up over Christmas with 3 children, including two teenagers. We got the junior suite. First, the staff was extremely helpful, and the hotel is quite unique. The room didn't feel like a hotel room, it felt like an apartment. It was very roomy and the details like crown molding, and radiators made it feel like we were in... More

We stayed in a jr. suite and a regular queen room. Both were fantastic. Large and very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We couldn't have had a better trip. I will definately stay there again. Great location for seeing all the must see sights during our 3 day trip to NYC.

From the moment we checked in we were met with the most amazing service, as someone who works and who has studied the industry, I was overally impressed. Kucuck, the Front Office Manager, was extremely professional and delightful, He made such a fantastic first impression of the service that we could expect from this hotel, and Randy and Omar proved... I love the Roger Smith Hotel. Location, easy to get everything I need within a 5 minute walk, I normally stay in the suite and its feels like home. The staff has been there year after year and welcome me by name, and are very interested that my needs are met. Its not a modern hotel, it has art on... More

I travel to New York City for business on a fairly regular basis and given a choice I would never stay anywhere other than the Roger Smith - the art exhibits, many bookshelves, friendly staff, small scale, central location, comfy rooms...it all combines to make me feel like I am in a home away from home even when my meetings... It's always a worry when a veteran cab driver says in his 20 years+ he has never once driven anyone to this hotel - and it was very clear why when we pulled up. The tacky entrance was not the way you should be greeted to a hotel in my opinion it was shoddy looking from the outside and didn't... More

Stayed here for three nights on a business trip. Stayed here due to great location near office. I usually stay at the Paramount or W. I cannot believe what an absolute dump this hotel is. 1. Doorman totally uninterested in even holding the door for me upon arrival. 2. Unbelievably shabby room (for almost $400/night!!) 3. Main elevator not operating,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
