Nice boutique Hotel located very centrally in Midtown Manhattan. Free yoghurt and Muesli (unfortunately no plain yoghurt available during my stay) and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a little bit older and so are the bathrooms, but this is typical for traditional NY hotels and nothing to complain about. Just the air conditioning is a little bit... More

The location is great. The room was a nice size. Three of us stayed and had plenty of room. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Hotel lobby could use new carpet. I would recommend this hotel.

We took a chance on this hotel and were not dissappointed. I spent 3 nights and 4 days in NYC with my daughter and grand daughters. We had the 2 room suite which was perfect. King bed and sleep couch and mini kitchenette. Perfect for family. I would stay there again very clean and the service was out standing. One... More

“A Quirky Hotel” .. someone intimated. “It takes you back in time and is just a little bit dated”. The sink was unstable, and the decour tired, but we loved the place and the room we hired. The constant din of the traffic in the street.. was drowned out by the air conditioning hum which allowed us to sleep. Staff... More

Great location! The free yogurt with granola for breakfasts was a nice touch. Close to subway station. Walking distance to a lot of great stuff. Parking was a bit out of our budget, so we went and found free street parking south near central park.

This was my third visit to the Roger Smith Hotel. It is a great place to stay. Our king size bedroom came with an attached living room and kitchenette for an amazing NYC price! Also love the yogurt in the lobby.

In need of updating, tired decor. spacious room, tiny bathroom. Very noisy room at the front of the hotel on Lexington Avenue(my mistake for booking in this location), ridiculously noisy air conditioning. No restaurant, small bar. Fine if you want to see the main New York sights without spending a fortune.

Here is a no frills review: + Staff were really friendly and helpful (especially when sorting a problem with our booking of 2 rooms not 1) + Rooms were clean on entry, and cleaned throughout our stay + Great location. Easy to walk to most tourist areas, and extremely close to Grand Central for a subway to where you need... More

- Noisy air conditioner + Centrally located in Manhattan , Lexington Avenue ( near Crysler Building ) + For the location of a fair price , so you can overlook a few little quirks of something in the years come hotel. + The cleanliness has not suffered + Small breakfast (Joghurt and cerials)

Walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, Empire State Building and the United Nations. Small problem with bathroom sink backing up but the prompt response was good.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
