We choose the hotel based on location and the interior on the pictures online. We were not disappointed. The inside has a nice quirky style and the rooms are clean and nice. The service was great and the roof top bar is worth a visit. Location is close to lots of main sites and there are tons of great restaurants... More

Over all experience was pleasant for a long weekend family mini vacation. Only had a minor issue with valet. I was informed it would take 20 minutes to get my car and it took an hour. Would not hesitate to stay at this location again.

I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, and neat this hotel was for the price. I had the junior suite, and although small, it was enough. My only complaints, were the rug was old and worn, and needed updating, the TV was between the Large chair and sofa, so you had to turn it one way or the other, and... More

Great Value, Classic Old Style Hotel! I have stayed here once before. Both times the room was very nice and the service was very good. The room with the sitting area is also a very nice touch along with the complimentary yogurt and granola.

Would recommend highly. Good access and well staffed. Rooms were attractive, very clean and comfortable. Good restaurants nearby. The staff was very professional and met our needs. We had a huge amount of luggage and the staff handled everything with a smile. Would I use the Roger Smith again

Though the location is fantastic for many NYC attractions, the hotel left much to be desired. For a hotel that boasts a wide library of books in every room, poor in-room lighting discourages any reading. Another hotel that states they have an energy saving policy but changes towels which were clearly left hanging on the towel bar for re-use. Hotel... More

The Roger Smith Hotel on the corner of Lexington and 47th was delightful. It is classic because it is an older hotel that has been redone. The people at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. The people staying at this hotel were also very friendly. The city was muggy when we were there - the window air conditioner... More

Building seems old, carpet looks not fresh, furnitures are old style, however, the bedding is extremely clean. The bed is very comfortable. The hotel is on Lexington and 47th street, is very close to Times Squares. It is very convenient. Subway station is just few blocks away.

The Roger Smith was a stab in the dark. I needed a place in the Grand Central area where I was attending a conference. It sounded good online -- and did not disappoint. If you want big hotel slickness, this will not be for you. It's an older building with touches of newness here and there, the old mixing with... More

We've stayed here a number if times over the last 15 years and the hotel has certainly not improved. If you want cheap you will get it here. It is not funky as it used to be, it is just worn out. The old wall and floor coverings, drapes and furniture that looks like it came from a second hand... More
