Okay, how about this -- 1-- Great pillows. You don't think that's a big deal? Stay in the "plastic" hotels and tell me you don't sleep better on great pillows and real sheets. 2 -- Great neighborhood. You want to live with tourists? Stay in the Times Square area. Great fun but it's not real New York. At this Inn... more

We're just home from a perfect stay at Inn New York City. If you are planning a trip to NYC, just go for it and opt for the Inn. We had a warm and welcoming, but inobstrusive, visit to the Spa Suite. The bath and in-suite sauna are fabulous extras you will not find in a high-rise hotel! Cuisine was... more

Very difficult to say something new about this inn, but it is as good as everyone says and better than we even dreamed it would be. We stayed in the Vermont suite for 8 nights. It’s the cheapest of the four suites but by no means sub-standard. It’s simply delightful in every way. After a long journey from Paris and... more

We stayed in the library suite and we felt as if we belonged there. So comfortable and interesting were all the books and antiques we could just move in. The kitchen had all the convenieces and it was completely stocked with everything we needed. If there was anything wanting all you have to do is request it and there it... more

My teenage son and I stayed in the Vermont Suite. It was perfect for us. Very private with its own entrance and patio, and so close to the subway for all the sightseeing we wanted to do in New York. And a short walk to Central Park, and Museum Mile. But those are just details that will not disappoint. What... more

what a wonderful place. Quirky in the best possible way and the two lovely owners leave fresh cakes for you every day. Just such a great find and really one the the best, no THE best, places we've stayed in NYC. We had the spa suite which was superb - biggest bath i've ever seen complete with a romantic fire... more

If you want a true New York experience without sacrificing any of the niceties of hotel ammenities, this is the place to stay. This classic townhouse is situated on a quiet street, but is within a short walk of Central Park, the 72nd street subway, and an abundance of taxis on the Avenues. We stayed in 'The Library', which is... more

This was our first stay at the Inn and it blew us away. I was planning a surprise weekend for a special occassion, and as was looking to splurge for 4-5 star accomodations. The Plaza, Trump, and others were looking good but then I stumbled accross the Inn. Oh man, this place is awesome. Unlike a hotel, here you have... more

We stayed 2 nights in the Library Suite to celebrate a special birthday. I agree with the other reviewers concerning the uniqueness of such a place, the consideration shown by the owners, the attempts to think of everything one might need etc. We never saw or heard another guest, despite it being a full house. The location near LIncoln Center... more

Management response from
InnNewYorkCity, owner

unfortunately our guests misread our "fireplace note" which states that we be notified by five p.m. if a fire is desired. Fires are lite between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. and burn for approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
