We stayed here during Thanksgiving weekend. The location is great - near everything. The people who run it are very nice and helpful. Anything you need or want, they get! We stayed in the Opera Suite - really cozy and fun. The pull out couch accommodated my adult son and the three of us really enjoyed our time. The only... More

Since my family lives in the city, I have not had the opportunity to actually stay in a hotel there, until now. And what a brilliant home from home. Impeccable, pristine, characterful and beautifully appointed - in a brilliant location too. The Opera Suite had a brilliant terrace and a baby grand piano - absolutely faultless. Having said that, it... More

My wife and I spent a great night here, and were very impressed with the amenities. Bathroom was bigger than we expected (for a NYC hotel at a relatively decent price). The staff could not have been nicer and more accomodating. The front desk recommended a lovely restaurant! A very restful night indeed.

What a wonderful place! Stayed first night in Spa Suite and rest of stay in Library. Both comfortable but preferred Library - more room and bedroom is in back of building so less street noise. But for either, the accommodations are wonderful - comfortable, cozy, beautifully decorated and maintained, and can't say enough about Elyn, Ruth, Robin and housekeeping staff... More

What a unique and magical place in which to begin and end your New York City day. In recent years, we have discovered new travel partners in a very special aunt and uncle, who together have a nose for finding luxury with salt of the earth charm. This aunt and uncle reserved for us the library suite at the Inn.... More

This was our first visit to NYC and had looked around at the various hotel accommodation on offer. We choose the Inn New York City because we were looking to have two bedrooms, somewhere away from the main tourist areas but close enough to get to Central Park and near a subway station. We booked the Library Suite since you... More

New York is a city that defies description. A trip to NYC while staying at Inn New York City defies belief! Elyn and Ruth lovingly run THE most amazing boutique hotel that we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Attention to detail in the suites (and we've now stayed in three of the four suites available) is impeccable.... More

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon over a weekend. We stayed in the spa suite and we absolutely loved the sauna and Jacuzzi tub. They brought us anything we needed and took care of every detail during our stay. In our kitchenette was fresh fruit and baked goods every day. The owners were so kind to us... More

My husband and I suddenly found ourselves with a few rare free days from work. We "commute" to and from the West Coast, so really wanted to find an amazing getaway to celebrate our mini-break. My husband was desperate to sit in a hot tub, but he was acting spoiled and said he wanted his own private one. Well, a... More

My wife and I stayed in the spa suite for two nights. We had a great time. The spaciousness and warmth of the suite was overwhelming. The converted brownstone is a time capsule, housing a Victorian inspired interior dotted with period fixtures and flourishes. As other guests have noted, the Inn is close to Central Park, the 72nd Street Subway... More
