This is our third time at the Inn. We like to think of the Library Suite as our NYC home-away-from home when we want to treat ourselves to something special. And "special" is precisely what the suite is. It's huge (the entire top story of the brownstone), beautifully-appointed, quiet, private, and the embodiment of luxury. In addition, the attention shown... More

In life you are constantly looking for perfection. We found it. We discovered the Inn ten years ago. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in New York City.Ellen and her staff have perfected achieving the balance of feeling like being on a 5 star vacation, while at the same time making you feel like your home. The attention to detail that... One of the best places we have ever stayed. We had whole floor of a brownstone to ourselves with an enormous bathtub, sauna, huge bed, very nice kitchen. Little snacks left in our fridge everyday were lovely and sufficient enough to stay in for breakfast. Staff was invisible but we did not feed abandoned - it's like magic. TV needed... More

We stayed at the Inn New York City in December and loved every moment. The Spa Suite was wonderful and the service impeccable. We stayed three nights and didn't see another soul unless we asked for something - it was like coming home rather than a hotel. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

We stayed on the top floor in the library room of this beautiful brownstone terrace in Upper Manhattan. It was quirky with lots of books, sofas to relax on in an enormous lounge room it also had a separate bedroom. The treats left in the kitchen each day were a particularly nice touch. The room was squeaky clean and staff... More

The Inn New York City is a world apart from your standard hotel room. The apartments are charming and very comfortable - and extremely eclectic- in a very good way! The breakfast food is varied and copious. The hosts will do whatever you need. In our case, they rushed out to get gluten free bread for us - and they... More

My wife and I stayed here the first time about 20 years ago. We were in New York for a friend's 40th wedding anniversary and booked the Opera Suite once again. This time we brought two other couples back after dinner to hear a Juilliard student play the piano in our room -- spectacular. It's a wonderful place to stay.... More

We spent six nights at this lovely brownstone in early October. My husband and I were visiting NYC for the first time to celebrate a combined Anniversary/Birthday. What a great place to stay. The service was superlative! Elyn greeted us the first night. We arrived late to our lovely suite (the Opera Suite) to find a nice bottle of wine... More

This place was absolutely amazing. On a quiet tree lined street. Located on the Upper West Side a couple of blocks from central park. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. So safe to walk at all hours of the night.
