I have stayed at this hotel four times now as it is in such a great location. It has been refurbished since my stays in 2004, 2005, 2007. Last stayed 2009 and I now see they have finished the refurbishment. Will definitely stay again

Great location, close to Time Square, but still as quiet as you can get at Manhattan. The room was very small but clean and the same applies to the bathroom. Our room was located at the end of corridor, this was probably why there was not too much noise coming from the hallway either. The doors would not have prevented... More

We stayed Saturday night at the Best Western on 48th Street right outside Times Square and near Broadway in Manhattan so that we could see "Fences" at the Cort Theatre. The hotel lobby was very funky with these large white pillars that looked that lamp shades that escaped from some Alice in Wonderland set. The lobby was small but adequate.... More

The room I stayed in, 211 had an air conditioning unit just outside the window that was so loud that - not only that I couldn't sleep because of the noise - but you couldn't even hear the TV. I went to the reception and asked to be moved. They said that they were completely booked for the night. I... More

I don't know about the other people who have bad reviewed the hotel, but I think when you're in new york city, you dont really spend much time in your room. We went to sleep and rested during the day for a couple of hours. THe location is absolutely amazing. The Ritz is right across the street and the hilton... More

We recently stayed for five nights. Chose this hotel because we had previously stayed there. The recent renovation has updated the hotel nicely. The location can't be beat. It is close to all subway lines, the theatre, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and a Food Emporium (for grocery items). Our room was a double but was not too crowded. The only... More

When I arrived at the hotel I had high expectations. The decor was stylish (if a bit feminine) and the lobby was clean and welcoming. However, upon arriving in our room I saw that the shower HAD NOT been cleaned... there were several open and used bars of soap, an open shampoo bottle, and a LARGE quantity of blond hair... More

I stayed at the Best Western President Hotel during my trip to New York. I know I had read lots of bad reviews about it, and nothing surprised me. There were maid carts in the hallway the ENTIRE time we were there. There was a nasty fridge in the ice room that had some sticky, smelly plastic bag hanging out... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
