Great location for visiting NYC. Everybody was extremely helpful right as we stepped in the lobby. Very clean rooms and thoughtful housekeeping staff. It is a very cozy hotel which was a pleasant surprise since this was our first stay at a Best Western President. See you next year NYC and Best Western.

I stayed at this hotel with my teenage daughter in July for 11 nights & it was a great base. It's a small boutique hotel on 48th street between Broadway & 8th Ave. Only 1 block from the Times Square area, GREAT location! Convenient to everything! Shopping, subways, buses, Broadway Theatres, Central Park, & Rockefeller Center. Very safe area, I... More

Regular visitor to President. Staff is friendly and Jay Dean is excellent manager. Helpful Hints to make your stay better. Check into larger rooms as they have larger rooms with nice bathrooms. Internet is not available in some rooms due to metal in building construction so dont plan on access. Location is incredible!!!!

We stayed for 5 days at the end of September. The reception area was modern and bright, the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, quiet and modern. A couple of times we ate breakfast in the hotel which was very good and at a reasonable price. The position of the hotel is really close to Times Square. If... More

Just want to thank everyone at the Best Western including Cory who helped me get out of a jam re my reservation - I will definitely be back along with my fellow co-workers. The hotel decor took me by surprise - charming! - both whimsical and a bit esoteric - incredible aquarium at the reception - my room was small... More

We stayed at Best Western President Hotel, two rooms booked with another couple, for a week from Aug 27, 2010, chosen because of its great location. Although we have stayed at a number of Best Western motels/hotels over the years, we were extremely disappointed with the Best Western President Hotel at 234 West 48th St, New York. Both couples booked... More

I recently returned from another trip to New York City where I was treated as a visiting family member by Manager Jay Dean and his delightful staff. In particular, Ms. Patricia and Mr Jose at the Front Desk greeted me warmly and courteously. Without them I wouldn't have returned (I have been housing there for some ten years now). It... More

From the start my experience with this hotel was not great. Old air-conditioners and skipped wake-up calls were the beginning. Internet access was variable and slow. Housekeeping uses sheets that are too short so your feet are exposed to mattress cover (unhygienic) which is typical of a 2-star class hotel. When I changed rooms at their suggestion, I asked for... Only decent thing about this place is the location - really central and in the midst of it all! Other than that, WAY too expensive for what you get ie@ a tiny, box-sized room where you have no room for a suitcase to be placed, no room for two people to get ready and the bathroom is tiny! I understand... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
