I am a NYC (Upper East Side) native and I have stayed only twice in hotels. This was a jewel, conveniently located on W 55 - near some great restaurants and diners.......Most of all it was clean - I was very worried about bedbugs....The staff was wonderful, bathroom amenities plentiful and luxurious bathrobes too! Because I was a member of... More

From the first moment you are entering the hotel you recognizing that this is a special one. The room I stayed wasn't that big, but it was ok as solo traveller. The rooms have a great design as well as the hotel itself. After I left the hotel I learned from a friend living in NYC that the hotel and... More

Dream NY is a great hotel mainly because of the super friendly staff. The rooms are comfortable, most notably the beds. So hard to get out of bed.....the room was clean, quiet and well appointed. The Ava lounge in the roof was amazing and cozy. We just had a great stay and would highly recommend Dream NY to anyone coming... More

Dream is a nice hotel in the midtown area of NYC. It has a cool ambiance, and a very cool bar called AVA. The rooms are small, but for a few dollars more you can get a "Medium" or "Large" room, and I would recommend that route. It is a cool option for not a ton of money.

A fine hotel in a great midtown location. For those who always complain about the room sizes in NY, I recommend the enormous King Size room for a few dollars more - well worth it. My room faced the back - no view but very quiet - a must for NYC. I loved the room ambiance with strategically located blue... More

I called 3 times to get a rate. Each time they transferred me to an unstaffed phone line which rang out. If they put that much care/attention into new bookings and business I hate to imagine how they treat people who have already paid. Forget it! I'll pay the same rate and get my Marriott points and I know someone... More

Loved this hotel; very modern, clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to shopping and shows, great location overall. Serafina's Broadway is also located in the lobby and has excellent food.

Staying at the Dream was like every other experience. There weren't any complaints, but there was nothing special that would cause me to stay there again. Personally, for the amount I would stay at the Hampton Inn a few blocks away and get the free hot breakfast! One note: No bed bugs in my room. Only one (out of about... More

Enjoyed our time at Dream. Staff was always helpful. Loved the roof top lounge. Beds comfy but a little too warm with the down comforters under the bottom sheet. Couldn't get cool enough. Got an upgrade to two queen beds and I think that was good because any smaller bed would have been uncomfortable. Good and helpful tips from busboy... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
