Just returned home today after 4 nights staying at the Dream New York and feel compelled to write my first ever review. The hotel is in a great location, our room was ideal and the staff were friendly & helpful with the exception being the bar staff. As a paying guest I had hoped to make full use of the... More

The rooms are extra small. There was a dubious (semen-like) stain in e furniture adjacent to my bed, that wasnt cleaned despite my complaints. It is NOT a luxury hotel. But none of that is as bad as the front desk. I truly believe they hire unhappy people for the job. Worst service ive ever had in the hotel. And... More

Dear Biru T, Thank you for your feedback. I was disappointed to read your review. Our front desk staff is usually exemplary, as you can read from other Trip Advisor reviews. We are addressing this with our team and your feedback is most helpful in this regard. Upfront I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with... More

Got a decent price for last minute trip into the city. Attentive staff for check-in and out. The king room was a typical size for NYC. Bathroom more than adequate. Asked for a quiet room and got it, no concerns there, much to our relief after reading prior reviews on this website. We were not troubled by the affectation surrounding... More

I stayed for just 3 nights at the Dream, Manhattan. The lobby is beautiful and the staff are friendly. However, after getting to my room I started to feel disappointed. There is blue fluorescent lighting in the room - something that's meant to set it apart (I think). It just made the place feel cheap! On the upside, I guess... More

First stop on our honeymoon and not the hotel to start. Other then the location Dream doesn't have alot going for it and for the price there is alot better in the area which do a much better job and much more welcoming. Pros: Location Cons: • Rooms look like a cheap porn set with the gimmick blue light •Staff... More

Really nothing wrong with this hotel. It was very clean, the oranges a nice touch and we were on the 10th floor, but right by the elevators. Did not hear them at all, and really heard no noise outside our room. We didn't arrive until 9 pm and the parking garage steered us in the right direction to get the... More

Room and bathroom were tiny and staff was rude. Do not let reputation fool you. I would never go back. The New York half marathon was held the weekend we stayed. Had I not taken an early walk, I would not have found out. Because of the route of the race, the hotel's parking lot would not have been able... More

This hotel is really well placed being only minutes from Times Square and a plethora of eating and drinking establishments. The beds are really comfortable and the rooms are a decent size. The staff were very helpful with a public transport related query I had on half marathon day also. However there are a few drawbacks. We were made to... More

We were greeted by Michael who was really welcoming, smiley, friendly and helpful. Our room was much bigger than expected and so was the en suite bathroom with double shower! Fabulous! The bed was lovely, big and so comfortable, great to flop into after a long day walking around the city. There was a safe in the room where we... More

This is a hotel that provides a place to lay your head only. The location is great, we walked to the Beacon Theatre and Madison Square Garden easily as it is equally spaced between them. The standard room is small but tidy, the shower over the bath with curtain is a bit of a pain, and no tea or coffee... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
