We stayed at the hotel in June 2013 and as you walk into the lobby and saw the amazing fish tank! We checked in by a friendly receptionist which was fast and easy. As we were in New York City to get married, we were given a complimentary upgrade by the hotel. The room was nice and well maintained and... More

the dream hotel is an affordable option in midtown, a few blocks stroll from central park or the theatre district. the lobby shouts 'this is a cool design hotel' with its pillar aquarium and faux buddhist sculpture. and maybe it is. the ava bar on the top floor definitely does its level best and the blue light effects in the... The service was not good at all.. starting from the check in the receptionist was very rude and she also took a deposit of more than $600 on my credit card without even telling me! every time we asked for something from guest service it took at least 20-30 minutes and we had to call to chase for everything! the... Nice location near Times Square, Central Park. Rooms are small. Would try suite next time. Staff friendly, penthouse bar great venue, restaurant on Broadway cool, service timely & professional. Travelled there to NY first time & did enjoy the experience. Thanks to all Staff at Dream. Enjoyed my birthday there all the way from Australia.

Many previous reviewers complained about the small size of the rooms. Apparently they're unfamiliar with Manhattan. Yes the rooms are smaller than you'd find in a Hampton Inn on the Interstate, but for a vintage building in an absolutely perfect location for sightseeing (right at 55th and Broadway; several subway lines are right there) it's an amazing value. Our room... More

We stayed at the Dream Hotel for one week to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It is a great hotel to visit everywhere from,Central Park is literally two blocks away and Times Square is just around the corner. Our room was spacious and cleaned everyday and the towels replaced. Unfortunately there were no tea or coffee making facility's in the room... More

i stayed at the dream hotel in the meatpacking district. It was extremely clean, the service was very good and it's a really happening trendy scene. the othere thing i liked it that the rooms are quiet (my room didn't face the pool) so if you finally want to go to sleep there is no obnoxious club music keeping you... Stayed here during a heat wave and it was like heaven once we turned in! Although the room is small (thank you TripAdvisor for the head's up), it was very clean and welcoming. Apples were left for each guest (nice touch). The room had very cool lighting and the bed linens were like heaven. Actually was one of the best... More

If you think the front seat of a taxi is cramped, try staying at the Dream, or more like the Nightmare...the rooms are super tiny, the bathrooms super tiny, the side tables are scratched up, no curtains & they left a dirty bunch of towels in the hallway for 2 days....as I've said many times before, pack your bags &... My husband and I recently stayed at the Dream Hotel for 5 nights. I was slightly skeptical at first as I read a few negative reviews, however I was pleasently suprised! from the moment we arrived we were greeted with the helpful reception staff, they checked us in and the original room was on the 9th floor, as Im not... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
