Behind a red door in Chelsea is an apartment and garden that gives you the chance to experience New York like a true local. Whether it was Karen and Paul’s fantastic inside knowledge of what and where to go in the neighbourhood, to help getting those tickets to that Yankee’s game. And when your feet and arms are finally exhausted... More

We spent a month in the Garden in Chelsea last summer and had the time of our lives! Thank you Karen and Paul! As our stay was so long we did not want to live in a tiny hotel room. Instead, we found this place and it more than fulfilled our expectations. It's a little studio apartment in the ground... More

A B&B room was not available so my friend rented the third-floor apartment thinking that we'd have access to the garden. We did not. Worse by far, the apartment was crammed full of their daughter's belongings, including photographs glued to the walls. The bed was weird. The owner was nosy and had the temerity to crow about what a goldmine... More

The special thing about this apartment is the courtyard garden and the extra living space this provides. It is a peaceful and welcome retreat after a day of sightseeing. We loved the location, in a quiet street so close to numerous galleries and with good bus and subway links. The highline garden just around the corner is a fantastic way... More

After days of frantic rushing around New York, we found a perfect haven to rest up for the night at the Garden in Chelsea. It's located in a quiet tree-lined road in between the Village and the main shopping area. The room and service was excellent. We have stayed there whenever we come to New York and are hapopy to... This B&B is accurately named 'A Garden in Chelsea' because of its beautiful and comfortable garden. The garden is directly accessible, and is only footsteps from your king size bed. Leave the backdoor open for a beautiful breeze and the quiet hum of the city. The room leaves you with the feeling of being part of the neighborhood from the... More

Very comfortable B & B- has everything you need and the lovely hosts, Karen and Paul, provide lots of information about what to do and where to eat. Chelsea is a great location for a visit to NY; trendy area and easy walking to Meatpackers District, Soho and the Village. Really close to the High Line, the new city park.... More

This charming bed and breakfast, with a lovely garden, in a historic brownstone on one of the most beautiful blocks in Chelsea, is run by a warm, welcoming, and sophisticated NYC couple. The bed was SO comfortable, it's a very quiet location, and just steps away from great art galleries, shops, and restaurants. A 24-hour visit felt like a true... More
