We have stayed at A Garden in Chelsea 3 or 4 times, and each time it has been perfect. Unlike a hotel, A Garden in Chelsea gives you the sense that you are actually living in New York. The location is excellent with on street parking available over the week-end. It is close to the Chelsea galleries, excellent restaurants, interesting... More

A Garden in Chelsea was the perfect cozy spot for us to unwind and just enjoy a great neighborhood in Manhattan - close to friends, relatively light traffic, good restaurants and even street parking in a snowstorm. The elegant bath is worth the price of admission. Karen and Paul were great. We'll be back when we can enjoy the garden!

We spent 9 nights here over Christmas and it was fantastic. Close to Subway, Chelsea Markets and Pier with many great restaurants/cafes/pubs within walking distance. The 2nd floor apartment was well appointed and suited 4 adults well. Karen & Paul were awesome hosts from the first contact to our final day in NYC. Would highly recommend a stay here.

A Garden in Chelsea felt like our home away from home. Karen and Paul had put in a lot of thought to ensure that our stay was very comfortable, and were always on hand in case we needed anything. The location is perfect, being about a 5 min walk to the subway, about 5 min walk to the Chelsea Market... More

The location is excellent, just 3 1/2 blocks from the 8th Ave subway that runs uptown/downtown. The apartment is lovely with comfy beds, big bathroom, efficient kitchenette and well stocked bookshelves, located in a quiet residential area that is a welcome relief from the bustle and hustle of the city. Gourmet Deli and wine shop close by to stock the... More

We found A Garden in Chelsea a terrifically located place to stay in NYC. We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment which was roomy, quiet and comfortably furnished. We were able to self cater as well as access the many restaurants in the area. Our hosts Karen and Paul were friendly and informative. A great place to base yourself for... More

The five of us (two parents and three adult "kids") stayed in the studio mid October. Only blocks away from the Highline, Chelsea Market and subway - which allows you to access the rest of New York City within minutes. A great place to return to after pounding the pavement all day - or just spending a few hours relaxing... More

We have just spent 6 wonderful days staying in the studio apartment. The location is perfect for exploring all that NYC has to offer. The restaurant choice is endless in Chelsea, with many good places to eat within easy walking distance after exhausting days of sightseeing. Having a small kitchen to prepare breakfast is a real plus. Large comfortable bed... More

We traveled to New York with our one year old and were delighted with how baby friendly the studio apartment was. It is below street level (basement) so it was easy to access with baby and stroller with few stairs leading down to it. The apartment was equipped with a crib and high chair which made our life a lot... More

This is one of my favorite neighborhood.s in NYC. Always bustling, beautiful tree lined streets, smiling people and great little shops and restaurants. This place feels like a neighborhood even with some big name chains on the corners. Very diverse people live here in harmony. A Chelsea is garden is home away from home.
