The hotel's location is very good, but almost there was a fire in the air conditioning . We were without air conditioning, refrigerator , TV , lights ... to compensate brought two heaters , but I almost died of cold. It was the worst hotel I have stayed in New York .

I would stay again if necessary the staff is very nice. I felt safe as well as they lock the front door after a certain point in the evening and only let hotel guests in. It was very small but clean, had a 2 twin beds which were very comfortable. We didnt want our room cleaned so we put a... More

HORRIBLE hotel. DISGUSTING management. Avoid this place and do your research prior to booking. Their management staff is incompetent. Still waiting for a reply months after they improperly charged me. They;re quick to take your money yet unable to reply to your queries.

I loved the location...in the middle of Chinatown and Little Italy....but the hotel needs some help. Very small rooms, no closet?? And the state of the shower was up there with a Youth Hostel!! The elevator smelt of sewerage??...strange. Front staff were good

Our friends booked this hotel as the location seemed good. The desk staff were totally uninterested in the guests comfort or questions regarding New York. Only one staff person gave us directions, however she would have preferred we went to the hotel computer to print out a mapquest we would have found ourselves. When asked for tourist information other clerks... More

I'd read a lot of negative reviews on the hotel, so was a little worried. We chose it because (a) it was quite cheap compared to others and (b) it was a good location. The hotel is at the junction of Canal and Lafayette. Canal is a busy road, Lafayette less so. The reception is relatively small but there are... More

Stayed for a total of 7 nights in July and August. The N, Q, R, J, Z and 6 trains are right below the hotel. Station is called Canal St. We were given rooms right above the reception and could felt the trains vibrating below but we weren't disturbed by that because these trains brought about great assessiblity and convenience... Stayed in Hotel Azure in TriBeCa a few weeks ago. Location was good, being only steps to the 6 train made it very accessible because the location is just okay, in terms of what is right around the hotel. The room was very clean, but very small, however, that is something expected for a Manhattan hotel at that price, so... More

The pictures in the hotel website seem to be okay but the real feel of the room is..they are very tiny. The 3rd person has no space if there are 2 persons standing. Thats how it is. They don't offer breakfast and its very costly compared to the other hotels in the area.

I booked this museum to be close to a friend in Chinatown, for that purpose it was good. You can hear the subway below the hotel as it passes underneath and shakes the whole building. Other than that the room was small, as to be expected and it was a little bit dirty looking.

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
