I had to stay here for a night in between apartments as I am in New York for a month - so booked because it is close to where I need to be in the day. Really impressive, welcoming and friendly staff, rooms have two double beds and reasonable size by New York standards, lovely, clean linen and towels. Bathroom... More

I was at NY for few days and stayed at the Holiday Inn. It was so convinient and comfortable! Great rest after a long, busy day! Most comfortable beds ever! Loved the pillows :D definitely will stay there again

I've just visited the holiday inn as part of a 2 week business trip and every part of the stay was fantastic. The rooms are pretty good (small when compared to other hotels around the world but that's just New York) and have good facilities. Not the most modern but I wasn't planning on spending time in there. There was... More

Great hotel, great location, walking distance to subways, not to far to walk to Times Square and Macy's. friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms, nicely equipped, comfortable beds. large breakfast ! Restaurant open until 11pm, can get takeaway to your room. New York fab, wear comfortable shoes as lots of walking.

Having stayed at many Holiday Inns and being a Platinum member I've come to expect a certain amount of service and consistency. This experience was by far the most disappointing of all my stays. The room was a tiny double with barely enough room to slither by the beds. There was a constant loud humming noise all night off and... More

We arrived to the Holiday Inn and were greeted by a friendly front desk staff. We were so tired we did not get any names; but there was a man and a woman, friendly and helpful! The hotel is very small as are the rooms, but it was the least expensive around for a Saturday night in the city, so... More

This Holiday Inn is located in the Chelsea section of the city. It is not near midtown, times square or any of the tourist attractions one associates with visiting NYC. There are a few restaurants nearby. The check in was friendly, the staff really tries to make your stay a good one. I had a king bed room on a... More

I travel to NYC once a week. My job moved us from hotel Pennsylvania to the holiday Inn. The hotel is still close enough to Penn station, subway and great restaurants. The hotel staff is amazing! They are extremely pleasant and helpful! The rooms are a bit small but very clean and comfortable. The beds are the best... super comfortable.... More

Stayed again at this hotel April 22-24 and June 3-5, 2015. Hotel is clean, staff very helpful, location is great (within walking distance of Penn Station), and the most comfortable beds ever! We love staying here and almost feel like it is a second home. No traffic noise.

Probably normal for being in NYC my room was tiny but had everything needed. Furniture was new and everything was clean. Only my blow dryer did not work. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect. It's loud in the night as expected being in Manhattan (traffic, ambulances etc). Overall satisfied with my stay.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
