I stayed at the hotel for one night, booking a package that includes a 24 hours parking at a nearby garage, Upon arriving I was recognized as a Holiday Inn priority club member, and got upgraded to a room at one of the top floors with a nice view of the Empire State Building. The room itself was clean, although... More

There is nothing so bad about this hotel that I would warn you away from it. If you know the issues before booking, you may decide to stay there anyway because of the location. The rooms are ok. But: The internet speed was simply awful. Elevator availability is truly abysmal (sometimes requiring a wait of 20 minutes during busy morning... More

We were only given three towels per day and we had 4 people. Therefore I had to ask for an extra towel 3 times. The 3rd time, I asked them to tell housekeeping to leave 4 towels per day. I had to ask for toilet paper TWICE! (I have never had to ask for toilet paper! Housekeeping was not filling... More

Not a large room by any means - but the location is great and who spends time in a hotel room when you're in NYC? Clean and comfortable, friendly staff. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for good value.

Recently stayed 5 nights at this hotel. I paid extra for a city-view room and it was worth it, with good views of the Empire State Building, especially when illuminated at night. For the best night views I would recommend the 23rd - 25th floors as the water towers on adjacent buildings' roofs interfered a bit with our view from... More

Stayed here for a short 1 day trip in NY after a business trip and was largely disappointed. The hotels location is great, in Chelsea and close to Penn station. Thats where the benefits stop. The particular night I was staying there, there were a number of young patrons partying in their rooms late into the night. Multiple calls to... More

Stayed for work, staff was attentive, location was perfect, onsite amenities were awesome. I have stayed in all the IHG properties in Manhattan and for money, location, and amenities this was the best hotel. I will be staying here for any future visits.

Stay here and save big $$$! Walking distance from Madison Square Station, Union Square, and if you enjoy a good walk, the High Line, and the newly Chic meatpacking district. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was perfectly comfortable. If you don't need white gloved doormen or a palatial lobby, stay here and use the money you save... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
