We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Madison Square Park dog run--three blocks away. Holiday Inn Madison Square and Holiday Inn Chelsea are both good standard hotels--we stayed at both. Chelsea Holiday Inn is a nice and clean basic room, with no lobby. So not a grand New York experience, just a place to put your hat, explore... More

My second visit - a wonderful bed, and I scored a view of the Empire State Building with the Chrysler Building in the distance - used the lit ESB for a night light! A fine front-of-house staff, from doormen/bellmen to the managers. Even the housekeepers speak brightly instead of grunting or ignoring you.

I realize it is easy to be wooed by the low price and great location but trust me it's not work it. The bad news starts as you arrive to find a collection of old patio tables and chairs filled with smokers yakking away on their phones. You walk through the pile of cigarette butts into their tiny filthy lobby... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our property. I would like to address each of your points. The hotel is 100% non-smoking with a designated smoking area in the front of the hotel. The patio furniture is actually set off to the sides of the entrance as not to disturb guest who do not smoke.... More

We stayed here to be close to FIT and it was a great choice! There were four of us including two kids ages 16 and 11. We were here visiting the city to tour FIT...the hotel is conveniently located just around the corner and the subway is very close by. We had a double room for the four of us... More

This hotel has a great central location in NY. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. They do offer free WiFi and they would have too as the speeds and time to connect are third world, I would have expected a lot better. Plenty of cafes close by with Chelsea Markets a short walk. Again get yourself some 4G !

This hotel is in a good location and the people were friendly, but the lack of WiFi was frustrating. They promise WiFi and it simply doesn't work. We tired on several different types of phones, pads, laptops etc. When we asked the desk clerk they acted like it was a recent problem, but as you can see from the reviews,... More

Room with king bed was small but most rooms in NYC are....especially in that price range. We don't go to the city to sit in our room anyway! It was very clean. Every employee we encountered was extremely friendly. The folks at the front desk always had a "welcome back!" for us when we returned. I didn't use the Wifi... More

Great hotel in a perfect location. Staff were so helpful and helped us out with all our questions and gave us suggestions on where to eat and drink. Room was very small for three of us, and even smaller after our trip to Jersey Gardens, but kept clean, and had air con thankfully as it was v warm. We'd a... More
