This neighborhood is as New York as it gets! trendy, cool and vibrant. The cool, the crazy, is all here to be experienced. The room had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on, my wife is actually making me buy a similar bed... More than the comfortable bed, you can see that there was thought put... More

I spent two nights at the Ludlow with a friend whose "important" birthday we were celebrating. We had a double room-- actually two rooms, each with a queen bed, connected by a super bathroom with giant tub/shower with brass fittings. Everything was immaculate; the minibar is very imaginative! We were a little afraid of noise, either from the corridor or... More

Sad to say that after looking forward to our visit to this hotel for months we are pleased to be checking out tomorrow and would never stay here again. The positives. - Good location, previously stayed at the Smyth in TriBeCa (fab service) so this made a change and it was nice to explore the LES, Nolita and SoHo etc.... More

The Ludlow is located in the hip, youthful and trendy Lower East Side - the best part of NYC if you ask me. The vibe is super-cool and Ludlow Street itself is filled with countless bars, boutiques, restaurants and is very lively at night. If that sounds like your kind of place, then the Ludlow is likely to be your... More

My husband and my friends surprised me with a stay at the Ludlow Hotel for my birthday. What a lovely surprise that was! Lower Eastside is a gem that I must discover more. The front desk associates were very knowledgeable. I recommend stopping by if you are not familiar with the LES. The staff is very cool and hip. They... More

Welcoming crew, beautifuly designed rooms (loved the bathroom!!), well located and affordable rates. Although not ideally located vis-à-vis my workplace - Midtown- I'll definitely go back to the Ludlow on my next trip to NYC!

Cool neighbourhood and cool interiors but that is really all I the positives I can squeeze out of this hyperventilated establishment. The "buffet" breakfast was a joke. I mean, after staying in one of their cupboard sized rooms, battling with a "free wi-fi connection" (only available in the lobby) surely you'd be gantin for more than a few crumbs of... More

Dear Danny H, Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about the Ludlow! We're happy to report that we've been serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in our restaurant since late last year. When we opened in June of 2014, our restaurant was not quite finished, so we were temporarily serving our complimentary breakfast in the lobby lounge until it was... More

You will enjoy the fact that the hotel is clean and new and the bathtubs with the windows are wonderful especially after a long day of walking. To bad that the staff is silly and ineffectual. There is no security in this hotel, so you must be vigilant about your well being and your belongings. The bellmen dropped our luggage... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel was perfectly located for us. Heaps of cool resturants and bars right on the door step. Subway a 5 min walk. Staff very friendly, and helpful. It was a bit loud on street noise and th AC took some getting used to. To be picky - lifts were super slow and breakfast... More

Dear KM, We appreciate you taking the time to share your LES experience with us! We’re so glad you took full advantage of everything this great neighborhood has to offer. Thanks for your feedback regarding elevators and the noise you experienced. We maintain a vigorous maintenance program for our elevators – which sometimes results in a brief delays in service.... Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
