Just spent 5 nights at bubba and bean lodges and this is just the place for a better value accommodation away from the main New York hub with plenty of space and superb facilities. Contact with owners Jonathan and clement was excellent and we were greeted and shown to our room on the 2nd floor at the rear. Room was... More

We stayed for over two weeks and this was our sanctuary away from the busy streets of NYC. The room was clean, with a table and chairs for two, an armchair, and a kitchenette with full gas stove, microwave, sink, a drip coffee machine etc. The bathroom was modern and clean. Our room was at the back of the building... More

OK, so dragging our suitcases up the three flights of stairs wasn't the leisurely intro that we hoped for. Then we opened the door and the magic kicked in! The apartment was spotless, the welcome basket overflowing and the silence - after Las Vegas - appreciated. Having cleaners every couple of days guaranteed that our comfort was taken care of... More

Discovered Bubba & Bean through the Lonely Planet guide which rated it a top pick for families. After much research we came to the conclusion that this was the best value and most comfortable option for a family of four. We stayed in a Superior Room with one king and two king single beds. This was far more comfortable than... More

I have just spent 8 nights at Bubba and Bean in NYC. It was comfortable to return to after a full day of sight seeing in busy downtown Manhatten and very conveniently located 200m from 103rd St subway station. A 7 day pass gives you unlimited travel on the subway and buses and was great value. There is a Cheque... More

Looking for affordable accommodation in NYC was a challenge (unless you are happy to settle for room the size of a cupboard and communal bathrooms). Luckily I discovered Bubba and Bean - thank you Lonely Planet! Not only does the room come with a bathroom but a kitchen and cupboard as well! Not only this but you are literally a... More

This is a nice and clean place with full kitchen and easy to make your own meals. The neighborhood consist of a mix of old people, families and school. Easy take aways nearby. B&B lack a place to hang around as it have no lobby etc so is not so suitable if you travel solo and just need to relax... More

This review is long overdue. Bubba and Bean turned out to be a great place to make our home base for a five day trip in NYC. It's a neighborhood, safe for returning from subway late at night, with plenty of storefronts nearby for breakfasts, lunches, incidentals. Shopping and finer restaurants are just a 5-10 minute walk, and we stayed... More

We had a great 3 nights stay at Bubba & Bean - it is in a safe neighborhood with several laundromats (big plus), eateries (including pastries, pizza, Dominican food etc) and shops. I would consider this to be a "heartland" of NYC - so was a welcoming change for us to get to see another side of NYC! Room is... More

We stayed at Bubba and Bean for 9 nights in total and would definitely choose to stay again if in New York. We changed rooms during our stay (we knew about it in advance) and both rooms were essentially self-contained apartments with no breakfast. The room in what seemed the newer part of the building was larger – in fact,... More
