The location can't be beat if you're going to Lincoln Center. Rooms are small but adequate. Wi Fi is readily available at Starbuck's and the D. Rosenthal atrium. Excellent restaurants are across the street.

We stayed at the Empire for two nights at the end of Jan 2014. We had a lovely stay. We were upgraded to a room at the front of the hotel with a nice view. I was very pleased with the size of the room and it had a great shower. The location of the hotel was perfect for us.... More

My mom and I both love(d) this hotel! It has a fabulous location for a young arts enthusiast like myself (located directly across the street from NY Ballet, The Met, and Juillard School of Music, also right on Broadway) and the food nearby is also great. The hotel staff are extremely sweet and accommodating (Ze, the bald guy, is awesome!!!)... More

I was traveling on business, but I would stay for leisure as well. The rooms are a little small, but that happens in NYC sometimes. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great--right near the subway, shopping, eating--great spot.

As always our home away from home. We had a lot of trouble getting to NYC because of weather. It is always nice to have a place where the staff is kind, the proximity to much of Manhattan's finest is right out the door and rooms are cozy and inviting.

We loved the location. Away from the crowded Times Square area. This was convenient to subway, central park, 5th/madison shopping areas. Room was small but expected for NYC. Could have used more lighting as it was hard to put on makeup with the tiny bathroom. We did have to ask for towels everyday, but that was minor. Overall, a great... More

The hotel itself is nice enough, staff are friendly and great location. Despite these positive attributes that is where the positives end. I was horrified and a number of unauthorised charges to my credit card after checking out. I paid in full for my stay (3nights) before checking in yet I was charged in excess of $1,000AU ($820 US) which... More

Hello Dylan S, We are pleased that you had a pleasant experience with us but are sorry the authorizations on your method of payment, overshadowed your stay. The only charges that have been billed to you are $56.95 USD and $163.32 USD, both of these charges were for incidentals during your stay, as you had pre-paid your room charges through... More
