A small boutique hotel around the corner from Grand Central Station. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Retro-hipster (or some such thing) decor. Friendly staff. Complimentary Nespesso in the room. Pleasant hotel bar. Broadway is an easy walk; good transport options at Grand Central. We would definitely return.

I normally stay at Starwood properties, this place exceeded those standards, and my very high standards. Room is bigger than most in NYC, CLEAN, and quiet (maybe because it wasn't booked to capacity). They provided complimentary bottled water, and you can easily ask for more - and the refrigerator gets very cold, so you can keeps drinks in there. The... More

Great customer service, very accomidating. It was quiet and clean. THe Skakespeare was the best food we had in the city-no joke. First time to New York and I believe we had found the best location. Close to Grand central and walking distance to many attractions.

Overall our stay at the William was great. The location was super convenient-a couple of blocks walk to grand central station (with numerous metro lines to get all over manhattan & generally just a visually beautiful building to see), an easy 10 min walk to Herald square/34th & even beyond to union sq (20+ mins). Our room (309) was clean,... More

My husband and I stayed here for three nights in a queen suite with terrace. The hotel is in a perfect midtown location, quietly located on a side street. The exterior is an historic brownstone (formerly the Williams Club, until its conversion to a boutique hotel) with elegant public spaces and really attracting e contemporary rooms. Our room had a... The William is centrally located nearish to the UN and Bryant Park. The rooms are really stylish and nicely appointed, with beautifully comfortable beds and luxurious bathroom products. The place is pretty clean - it needs to be with white (!) floors. The rooms had a sitting area so are generously sized by Manhattan standards. This near perfection was in-explicitly... More

Arriving early was not an issue at all. "Mat" immediately laid out the welcome mat - no pun intended. following i met colleagues and given it was early we checked our bags and joking asked when we return they were in our room and coats hung. Arriving back later that day, it was not a joke to Mat. We were... More

What a lovely small hotel near our workplace, near the UN, 2 blocks from Grand Central Station - close to just everything that NYC is famous for!! But the best thing about this hotel is the very hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable staff! The rooms are very comfortable with modern colorful decor, a Nespresso coffee machine, L'OCCITANE toiletries, and an excellent... More

Unique New York brownstone with a boutique look. Impeccable room. No blemishes, roomy and colorful. Great touches with different levels of lighting. We got the feeling of a carefully designed space with us in mind. It has Frank Lloyd Wright 'written' on it.I booked through jet setter , saved $50. Very professional friendly staff. It does lack room service but... More
