I really can't understand what they were thinking, people with the negative comments. I stayed with my husband at September 2009 and everything was perfect. The staff was extremely kind and the rooms were actually apartments and very clean.

We went there to finish our trip. I loved the space of the room. It is so pleasant to have a +/- 70msq, 15 meters from Time Square. We received a room on the first level it was quite warm. The dont have airco, in summer it must be hard. Aprtment renting so no hotel service but i didnt need... More

Stayed in 708 and we loved it! One bedroom appartment with all facilities was nice, spacious and just what we needed for 10 days stay! Location of hotel is perfect, 100 yards from the Times Square! the only thing we did not like was maintenance works were taking place so we were woken up at 8 am by the noise,... More

AKA Apartments in West 44 Street were perfectly located for first time visitors to NY. We had a one bedroom apartment looking on to 44 street and it was quiet despite the milling crowds aroung Times Square at New Year. The staff were particularly helpful over a heating problem in our apartment and did everything possible to resolve it (... More

Conventional hotels beware. The price of NY hotels discourages visitors. The AKA concept rebuilds the model. For half the price and double the space, we survived without daily linens and towels. We survived without room service fit for a king ... sized budget. We survived the 5 minute walk to Times Square, giving up the entertaining stories of fighting over... More

We chose AKA from the reviews on Tripadvisor and because our hotel on our last visit to NYC (The Sheraton) had been so terrible and we wanted a fridge and some space for the 3 of us as we were going to be in NYC for 10 days. AKA was perfect. Great location, I had asked for a quiet room... More

I book a spacious 2 bedroom suite twice a year for my business trips to NY. The apartments are really spacious, clean and have a modern clean design. We set the living room up as a showroom and invite clients to meet us, everyone loves coming to see us at AKA. The kitchen is fully equipped, there is even a... More

The rooms are immaculate, clean (very important) , well-maintained and the staff including the doormen are all very kind and helpful. The kitchen was very useful during my stay and the nearby groceries all made it more possible to not go out and have to eat all the time, which I get totally sick of during a stay of more... More

We stayed at this hotel sometime ago, but again I'm late in posting my review. It has everything that one needs and the decor is simple and stylish, the only negative thing I would say about this hotel is that our room was dark because of buildings opposite but suppose that's to be expected in New York, but I'm sure... The location of this hotel is fantastic - just a few doors away fromToys R Us. There are plenty of restaurants in the street and the theatres are all close by.The Executive Suite with study was a great room with plenty of space to spread out and relax after a busy day. The room was very clean and comfortable and... More
