I stayed at the AKA Times Square in late-June, taking advantage of their summertime special weekend rate of $199 a night - a deal considering the location and quality of the property. We try to lodge at AKA's whenever visting NYC, getting luxurious apartment living and hotel-like treatment. The staff here provides outstanding hospitality, understated, yet always willing to accommodate.... more

This 2 bedroom apartment was everything we could have wished for in central Manhattan. Large Clean spacious contemporary room with all modern amenities. Friendly, obliging and efficient staff. Great suggestions for places to eat drink and shop. All advantages of an apartment with the service of a hotel. Fully recommend more

My son (age 6) and I stayed at AKA Times Square from May 17 - 22, 2009. I love staying at apartments while travelling and this place set a new standard. The one bedroom apartment was spotless with a large bedroom and living area and a good sized bathroom. The apartment was completely renovated with stylish stainless steel appliances and... more

This was my second stay at A.K.A. TImes Square. Since my first visit (May 2008), there've been changes and none for the better. This hotel still advertises "complimentary continental breakfast." On my reservation confirmation this became "club breakfast." Translation: coffee and petit sweet rolls. A year ago, a credible continental breakfast was served on the uppermost floor. That is now... more

I selected this hotel in part because it was discounted and in part because I loved the idea of having a kitchen and a place where I could meet with colleagues. It has pretty much everything that a business traveler could need; there is a parking garage less than a block away, the location is great for walking to mid... more

We have just recently returned from staying at the AKA Times Square and would certainly return again to this hotel. We booked a Deluxe 1 bedroom apartment, and we were very pleased with the accomodation. The main living area was as described. The kitchen had good appliances and had all we required for our weeks stay. We found the bathroom... more

We stayed in an executive suite. Large studio room with full kitchen, table/chairs, wonderful king-sized bed plus 2 more easy chairs plus a den in the back of apt. The place was large and awesome. Did not have that hotel smell b/c of the wood floors and blinds instead of curtains and was about $80 cheaper than the hotel next... more

Stayed for 6 days. Booked a 1 Bedroom deluxe apartment, and the rates were comparable with other luxury hotels in the Times Square area. I was a little concerned after reading the negative reviews regarding rodents and cleanliness, but after checking on the history of the postings of the most persons (basically no other postings) I concluded they may be... more

We just returned from a 5 night stay at AKA Times Square. We went with our 18month old son and having previously stayed in 5 star hotels in NYC, we wanted a high standard apartment with a kitchen as we were travelling with the young man. Some reviews on here (rodents, noise etc) bothered me slightly, but we proceeded to... more

Ok let me start off with the good, the rooms are spacey. THAT"S IT! Bathrooms are FILTHY, rodents are rampant, amenities for the high price are minimal(the breakfast, fitness and business center are lacking equipment and selection) the lobby is boring and dull and the area is sooo noisy you can barely get a night's sleep. I recommend other hotels in the... more
