We stayed at the AKA during December last year for 7 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is in the heart of Time Square and easy walk to a subway station. The room was clean and a good size. I would recommend the AKA and we are looking to return to New York later this year and we... More

Absolutely spot on!!! We always wanted to experience a Christmas and New Year in New York, but we new making sure we picked the right location was important. The first part of our trip we spent up near Central Park and the second part we wanted to be down in the middle of Times Square. We couldnt have asked for... More

My cousin and I stayed in the studio apartment in early January. The apartment was amazing and so big for new york. It included a washer and dryer which was really convenient. The front desk staff were so helpful and it was great to have someone at the front at all times. The location is great if you are visiting... More

I stayed in a one bedroom plus den with a friend in October, 2014. The apartments are clean and modern. Well equipped kitchen and good quality washing machine and dryer. Seriously in the heart of Time Square withToys R Us on the corner. Our apartment was quiet and noise from Time Square didn't bother us at all. The only things... More

The AKA Apartments are superb - they far exceeded our expectations. The location doesn't get any more central than this - you are in the heart of Times Square but as soon as you enter these apartments you are away from the hustle and bustle and you can unwind and enjoy a relaxing stay. We stayed in a double story... More

Huge studio apartment - far larger than anything else we've found in NY, clean, well equipped and perfect for a week's stay. Super convenient to theatres and TXTS booth. Times Square s little crazy, especially over new Years, but our room was quiet and comfortable. But.... booking and management a challenge. We booked directly with the hotel online and when... More

The apartment are spacious and modern. However there is no view and the neighbor houses are so close that it is always dark. Once you put on the lights you need to close the blinds, there is no privacy at all. The reception is not of the standard of a hotel in the same price range. The rooms get cleaned... More

We stayed at AKA for two weeks in Dec 2014. The location was wonderful (this trip was my third to New York and this was the best location I have stayed in). We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (my parents, my partner and myself) and the apartment was spacious enough that we felt we had a good amount of... More

Great location among the theatre district and half a block away from Times Square. We had a modern two bedroom serviced apartment which was well appointed with kitchen for cooking and laundry facilities. Great size for families. Will definitely stay here next time

I was a little sceptical about staying so close to Times Square due to the crowds and it being too touristy, but we've had a great time here. Our street isn't overly busy but you hit either cross street and it can get hectic. Times Square is only a 2min walk, Broadway is about 5min and 5th Avenue/ Madison ace... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
