Located in a nice central location, walking distance to Empire State Building and Times Square. Rooms aren't big but it is NYC so it did meet our expectations. We lucked out and got an interior room (no view) that was away from all of the street noise. The front desk staff and bellman looked like they all had better places... More

First off, I travel a lot for work and stay in this area often. Regular customer of the hotels in this area as our offices are a block away. There are 4 hotels right beside or across from each other here including the Hilton Garden Inn. I decided to try the Hilton for a change from the Indigo or the... More

Very close to subway and you can walk to good eating places around. Pretty flowers and plants in the street when u step out. There was hair on the bed when we checked in - staff came and changed the sheets immediately. There was blonde hair in the tub when i went to shower the first day. Since i had... More

The Hilton Garden Inn in Chelsea is in a great location between a couple of subway lines and close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. The rooms are reasonable sized for NYC and clean. The staff was friendly enough. The hotel is in the flower district so you do have to dodge some large plants and water on the... More

Good location close to Penn Station and Chelsea but otherwise poor hotel commitment to customer service and dirty rooms. AND they charge per bag to hold your bags (big and small alike) after you check out!!! I have never actually seen this policy at any Hilton hotel before and it alone makes this a 'never stay there again' hotel.

As with all New York hotels, the room are a little small (but bigger than others I've been in). Room was clean, quiet and staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is located on street with many plant/flower stores, and its fun to wander in and out. Only complaint is that the elevator service isn't great at peak demand (i.e. when... More

We were on the 20th floor with a decent view looking downtown over roof tops. Could not see the Freedom Tower. Other than some door slams in the mornings it was a quiet stay. Beds were lumpy though, so didn't get a decent night's rest until the third night there when I was exhausted. Room and bathroom were good size... More

Hotel is small and located in a noisy street in New York Mid town, but considering no street in NY is quiet, it was no too bad. Rooms are very small, you feel you are in London UK just enough space for the bed, but just for sleep is good. Gym is also mini. The only thing I got was... More

The Hilton brand guarantees good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful, but there weren't many of them. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable and I could use the small gym any time, day or night. Nice to be right next door to the bustle and fire of Times Square, but not as crazy. A brisk 20-minute walk to Times Square.

We were hours early and they let us check in anyway. It is a little walk 13-15 blocks to time square so wear comfortable shoes. It does give you a nice feel for the city as you walk up Seventh Avenue. Pay attention to the pedestrian traffic lights for safety. The parking garage across the street is $51 per day... More

Hi Matthew! Thank you for the great review. Our location is great for exploring the city and if you want to save a few steps, the 1 train is less than one block away and will take you directly to Times Square. I am glad you were able to take advantage of our high floors for some of our spectacular... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
