I'm happy with Hampton Inns, and was pleasantly surprised to see the minor differences here (having hopped around several hotels for work travel to NYC). Pros: Good, comfortable, clean. Cons: skimpy, ok reception desk staff. Did not have complimentary BASIC supplies (toothbrush, shaving cream - such a MINOR service, but BAD effect). This has never been an issue at Hampton... More

Although NYC prices are always a bit of sticker shock to midwesterners, I have to say that I was very pleased with the Hilton Garden Inn as our wedding guest hotel. The location was incredibly convenient- a block away from two different subway lines which went to nearly every location we needed for the weekend. It's also the flower district... More

My wife and I have stayed at Hilton properties in NYC on multiple occasions and have normally been completely satisfied with our stays. However, after an otherwise pleasant stay, we were taken aback when we were checking out and were going to leave our bags at the hotel for our final day in the city (as we often do), and... More

I had a great stay in Garden Inn while on a training trip in NYC. I was able to walk to all amenities, with easy access to Penn Station, and healthy walking distance to Times Square and many other sites. The room was clean and staff was professional. An easy place to stay.. and much appreciated!

This Garden Inn like all others has a breakfast buffet(18 dollars) , 24 hour fitness room, free USA today for honors members, in room coffee and comfortable beds. What is noteworthy is you are in the Floral District and see wonderful colors during the week as the merchants display their wares, you can easily walk to Penn Station with a... More

Location of hotel is great, subway close, excellent connections to everywhere, lots of things in walkng distance. Reception staff was very helpful in giving advice and directions, based on this we did not buy the unlimited Metro card but the pre- paid option for our family of three. Rooms are clean, fridge and micro very useful especially because not too... More

The room is small but very efficient. The location is great. Staff extremely helpful. At this price, who can complain.... not I. The valet service and parking for our car were greatly appreciated. We will return to this hotel.

Good location, clean, safe. Staff very nice and accommodating. Walking distance to everything that we wanted to see. Parking was priced ok and was not an issue to valet. Plan to make this a go to location.

Location was great for where I needed to go. There was black stuff flying out of the vent system onto my friends bed. I think they needed to clean them. Other than that it was very clean and comfortable for everything I needed that weekend.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first experience was not so good, but was given a complimentary stay so I decided to give it a try again. Upon check in the front desk staff was very friendly. When we arrived in our room I requested 2 pillows to be sent up, 45 minutes went by no... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
